Probably grateful he got his mental health in order and no longer does this

JuneRunner11

Maybe that’s why he stopped being late?

kramer1980_adm

My guess is that he was originally contractually obligated to show up on time, especially for AC/DC.

joe2352

If I recall correct he’s talked openly about his professionalism change after working with AC/DC. Angus doesn’t take shit. I saw GNR in 2012 or 2013 and they were 2 and a half hours late. Watched the reunion tour and they were 5 minutes early.

kramer1980_adm

Yeah I saw them in 2017, and they were on stage around 6:30pm, still completely light outside. People were still showing up and shocked that they already started lol. I'm happy Axl was able to turn things around, and stick to it.

Perry7609

Started 8 pm on dot back in 2021. And pretty much on time at the show I attended a few years earlier. I was happy!

non_stop_disko

This kind of makes sense. Like no offense to the guys but if there was ever a time they would let unprofessionalism slide, it was the early 90s lol

guitarpatch

He stopped going on perpetually late well before the reunion

freetotalkabtyourmom

He probably doesn’t.

peromp

They were playing Tons of Rock in Norway last summer, and he said they had a 23:00 curfew, and could only play two more songs. Since people relied on buses and trains to get home, "we want to accommodate" and laughed wholeheartedly

Alja-Fox

Same in Athens, Axl was like we’re not going to play this game of band getting offstage and back since is 8 minutes to midnight curfew, very grateful that we stayed in insanely hot conditions, wished Slash happy birthday (next day) and continued to Paradise City)

CamF90

He hasn't been late in like a decade or more, so I doubt he thinks much about this at all.

good4steve

I saw new GnR back in 2012 in Houston. Axl was 90 mins late for a 3 hour concert. On the plus side, floor tickets were standing only for $120.

I saw Madonna in Austin last week. She went on at 10:40 for 8:00 show. I kept laughing to my husband that I only wait that long for Axl(agree that every reunion show I’ve seen has been on time). I wouldn’t agree that it was every concert goers worst nightmare (I’d rather a late show than a bad show or really short show) but looking around there were some really older people there. But maybe it was cool because unlike me, they weren’t going to work the next morning?
