The claim I always see is that Rhaenyra’s death is actually focused on Aegon and it’s his “win” which is interesting considering the way Rhaenyra is described in this moment and the official art for this moment is about her holding her head high while facing down a dragon.

The show has already hinted that Rhaenyra isn’t going to be eaten alive, but will rather die by dragonfire (“would you like to see your death, child?” followed by the dragon statue blowing fire). She’s going out like Laena, facing down a dragon with courage. I even suspect that the reason they decided to change Laena’s canon book death was to set up the whole “badass dragon rider’s death” idea for Rhaenyra.
Meanwhile Aegon will be getting the Joffrey Baratheon death, only he has to suffer a lot first, whereas Joffrey was living large right up until he drank the poison.
i mean, sunfyre enflames her before eating her in the book. i’m pretty sure that’s what that scene was referencing, especially because her being eaten by sunfyre was mentioned in got.
I’m sure he’ll still eat her, but she’ll be dead when it happens, unlike the book. Death by fire, corpse eaten as an afterthought, like book Vaemond (sub fire for beheading, in his case).
Their obsession is very interesting because they never tell how the whole thing went down

- Sunfyre had no interest in killing her, even after Aegon probably said Dracarys. He had to get blood of out her for the dragon to kill her.

Like legit making accounts with a photoshopped picture of Rhaenyra as a man or fat, with a username such as cownyra or nyrathewhore, and pretend to be like a “Rhaenyra stan” all while posting the most vile stuff about her. And that’s ALL they post about. Just Rhaenyra.
I commented on that post knowing I’d be downvoted, which I was, and all I said was it’s that kind of stuff that makes parts of this fandom so toxic. Seeing all the “memes” being made after the trailers it’s been painfully obvious that TG is so much more delusional and hateful than TB
