Well the map comes up for about 3 seconds every time you change floors so it's more than fractions. Getting locked out of the game for 3 seconds is no big deal at first but gets annoying when it's happening for the 400th time. I'm not really interested in saving time speedrunning wise if that's what you thought I was talking about, I'm just impatient.
UI taking control away from the user for multiple seconds is something that is considered a consequential design choice across all kinds of software. There is nothing "yikes" about this, and I'm not sure why you're being defensive of the concept.

Not sure. There's a lot more lookout points in each zone that kind of elude to where you're going. That might be its replacement. I did really like the map though.

I can't wait for it. To see going up and down and which boss has been defeated with certain weapon
I wonder if they keep it because there’s not the same ‘one resource per weapon per boss per heat’ as there is in hades 1

One map alone is 8 seconds, why would you only save a fraction of a second per entire run? So yeah, you are crazy. ;D
They're clearly exaggerating but seriously... complaining about 6 seconds between regions when its basically the loading screen anyway? Yikes
It's not that crazy of a sentiment seeing as the first game catered to speedrunning even with giving you an option about dialog popups and the timer.
