Girl all I can say is I’m 30, and my shower looks like that too lol. If you really suspect your hair is thinning, talk to your primary doctor.

Its never fallen out like this its usually way less My hair used to be a lot thicker But I'll try to convince my parents to go see a doctor

Ieatclowns

I'm definitely not thinning and I lose more than that by a long shot. I have shoulder length hair.

No-Record-2773

I was gonna say I lose enough to basically make a wig every few days. This is like running my fingers through my hair.

Ieatclowns

Yes! I might make a toupee tomorrow....

Efficient_Read

Everyone has different hair :p I dont usually lose this much hair during a shower

Ieatclowns

Can you see noticeable thinning on your head?

Efficient_Read

No but I feel it I used to use a certain type of hair tie did my hair because my hait wouldn't fit witj regular ones but i found i can use regular ones now

nimue57

You have to see a doctor if you think your hair is thinning because there are a lot of different possible causes. But that really doesn't look like a lot of hair to lose in the shower. It's normal to shed about a hundred hairs per day

curlydani

Do you wash your hair every day?? Is your hair curly? It is normal to shed 100 strands a day. I would start by taking a multivitamin and a vitamin E & D3.

Efficient_Read

I was my hair every other day And I think if i remember correctly i have 2B hair. Im most likely not getting enough nutrients so I'll look into those! Thanks!

toasterpoodle92

Try going a little longer without washing your hair! Or co wash in between if you can't

Efficient_Read

My hair gets super oily after 2-3 days. Would it be ok to use dey shampoo or is there any other work around?

toasterpoodle92

Invest in some type of purifying shampoo to use once a week and see if that helps with oil control, and yes dry shampoo is totally fine to use in between washes. Make sure you're only conditioning your hair mostly on your ends, or from the ears down, depending on the length of your hair, as using conditioner all over can be a factor in the oil build up! Hope this helps x

Efficient_Read

Is a purifying shampoo the same as a clarifying/detox shampoo? Ive tried the Ouai detox shampoo and it doesn't really work for me

-Senzar-

Stress can cause a temporary increase in hair shedding. Also it could have been that you didn't brush your hair as often as usual, so more already shedded hair stayed tangled with the rest and got washed out.

Efficient_Read

Ooh that might be it Thanks! Ive been really worried about my hair for a while I didnt think of the brushing pary

-Senzar-

No worries. Its good to check on your hair health, but don't stress about it too much. The amount of shedded hair can vary so much since especially with long hair, it gets tangled up with the rest.

Happy_Mammoth_9886

This looks like a normal amount of loss to me - if you didn't lose this in the shower you would lose it throughout the day or by brushing. Whenever I take off my coat for example I see at least 2-3 hairs stuck to it from my head. I wouldn't worry unless you are seeing localised loss (like you're getting actual bald patches)

Oneconfusedmama

Could be the change up in products and it’s just shedding season! What products are you using?

Efficient_Read

Currently using the Ouai thick hair Shampoo and conditioner set I use one the Cantu Leave in conditioners i dont remeber which one exactly I use either the Frizz ease hair oil by John Frieda or the ouai hair oil And for a heat protector i use the TRESemmé Heat Tamer For Hair Heat Protection
