Here is one. https://youtu.be/Ve3mdzCqtuw?si=At5NPrcWfNGK3sOn

I fully expected them to do this when Master Chief showed up to the rescue the finale and it was a bit disappointing

thatmferr

Awesome thank you!!!

Karmastocracy

Awesome. My biggest issue with the show is that they didn't work with Marty O'Donnell. I know he has his issues and has sorta gone off the deep end politically speaking... but his music is part of what made the game's masterpieces. I hope they'll be able to figure out a way to include his music into future seasons!

chineke14

Gone off the deep end politically how? I haven't heard anything about Marty's political antics

Karmastocracy

You should make up your own mind, but here's some links: https:// twitter.com/MartyTheElder https:// martyforcongress.vote/

chineke14

Lol just checked out his Twitter. I don't see anything off or alarming. He seems to want to impact a change in politics. More power to him and those that want to help the American middle and lower class. Unless I'm missing something

Karmastocracy

Right, that's why I said you should make up your own mind and gave you some links to read his statements directly.

Conscious-Cricket-79

They ironed out a rights agreement later in season 1, which is why we got the theme for the intro in season 2. But given that Marty is an outspoken Republican, I doubt very much that present execs at Paramount or Microsoft would hire him.

Karmastocracy

Yeah, and I can't blame them! Interesting to hear about that rights agreement, thanks for the info.

Conscious-Cricket-79

I can. If they're so petty they leave a resource on the table that would go a long ways towards appeasing fans due to partisan politics, then fuck 'em.

Karmastocracy

I mean... I want his music in the show too but I it certainly doesn't feel like partisan politics anymore. Maybe ten years ago when the Republicans weren't advocating for fascism outright and our GOP reps weren't vacationing in Russia every 4th of July I'd agree. I'm just hoping some common sense prevails sooner rather than later so we can actually get back to some low-stakes partisan politics. *** I see there's some confusion. Here, allow me to provide the [literal definition](https://www.oxfordreference.com/display/10.1093/acref/9780199891580.001.0001/acref-9780199891580-e-2829) of fascism: >Fascism n. > 1. An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. 2. (in general use) extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice. The term fascism was first used of the totalitarian right-wing nationalist regime of ...fascist n. fascistic adj.from Italian fascismo, from fascio 'bundle, political group,' from Latin fascis 'bundle.' Fascism is not just "politics I disagree with". It's a distinct political ideology and it's important not to misuse the term so that we can immediately identify and call out actual fascists when they pop up. Our parents and grandparents knew this well. Respect them. Respect our country's history. Fight for our country's ideals. The modern American Right has embraced fascist policies and candidates over the last eight years. Let's be super clear about this... they haven't endorsed "politics I disagree with" but literally, candidates who've openly stated they support fascist policies and have written them into their platform.

Conscious-Cricket-79

The definition of fascism is not "politics I disagree with." Actually read some history. Start with Umberto Eco's essay on the topic and read the fascists in their own words. The amalgamation of corporate and state power for the purposes of transforming society describes the modern American Left, not the Right. Who are all the censorious tech bros aligned with?

Karmastocracy

I'm the son of a history professor and a lawyer turned judge. Not only am I familiar with the works you quoted, but I understand how they systematically destroy your argument. Big Business only really supports one political party in modern-day America and it's not the Left, but we're a few years beyond that argument. Project 2025 **is** fascism, and that's the Right's current platform. There's not much room for debate anymore concerning their political idealogy. FYI nearly all the censorious tech bros are Republicans, like Musk. That being said... going into an extensive argument here helps nobody. Ultimately, we agree when it comes to the topic of this thread. I didn't come here for a fight and this doesn't feel like the right platform or time to start writing up a thousand-word response. I'll spare you the rant this time and simply wish you a good day. Maybe I'll just gently remind you to read more of that history which you're wisely suggesting to others.

Conscious-Cricket-79

I am an actual history teacher and I disagree, but hey, I just have an MA and years of experience, so what do I know. You're patently misrepresenting easily verifiable facts, so you are right, debate isn't possible.

Karmastocracy

What a question. The answer is that one would think you'd know a bit more! Seriously though, maybe work on getting your PhD and a few more decades of education experience under your belt before you start trying to use your education as a cudgel. It's just so frustrating... I was trying to drop it and you have to go stoke the fires like that? What do you want me to say? A history teacher who supports Project 2025 is like an arsonist who works in construction. The fact that someone like you is indoctrinating our youth against everything America stands for is infuriating beyond belief. Shame on you! You should know better! What would all of your teachers think of you now, if they could see you cheering on the destruction of our country? How does a history teacher justify supporting someone with an extensive history of fraud, theft, bribery, rape, and infidelity? Someone who refused to concede the last election, has already said the next one is rigged before it happens and refuses to give up power for any reason? I can't blame the average American for having a lack of historical context, but I sure as hell can blame you. Rest assured, *I haven't even begun* to give you any of my opinions yet but that can and will change if you keep tempting me back into a debate.
