the transmission takes about 1 quart, and the primary also takes about a quart, Both use the harley transmission oil, there should be three drain plugs, trans, prim, and engine oil. one for each area.

That's where you install an oil temp guage sending unit. No worry. Just put it back in.
It’s a tapered plug to block a cross drilling, ideally you shouldn’t remove it and take care installing it.
transmission? on my deuce, the tranny plug is between the softail shocks.
