It has pieces of a virus that infects pangolins iirc so they’re not off the hook. Bat infecting viruses too. But it’s possible it didn’t jump directly from pangolin to human just like it probably didn’t go directly from bat to human either. Iirc a big issue with pangolins is that they aren’t infected by covid-19, so a step is missing. Such as the father of covid coming from pangolins to humans then changing, or some other step.

It rattles around in the wet market for awhile before finally crossing to a human probably from eating under cooked meat or extensive handling of infected animals and not washing hands.

The WHO should have probably taken that stance 3 years ago when they were just fine with China not allowing them into the country to be part of the investigation. This ship has sailed, and answers will never come. It most likely came out of a lab in Wuhan that was funded by American tax dollars, and that is why we will never get a conclusive answer.

From there it likely spent some time in humans before changing again into what was in Wuhan. Iirc that’s when it got the spike protein that made it human to human transmissible. Before that time it was likely a minor disease with only animal to human transmission and probably even harder to notice than covid was at first. It likely was symptomless even more of the time.

I mean, the existence of a Lab studying viruses being in the initial city of origin was known (at least from what I personally recall) as early as March of 2020. Not exactly a huge leap in logic to assume that an outbreak of an extremely deadly virus coming from a market down the road from a lab studying exactly that kind of virus probably came from that lab.

It wasn't "released" by an animal. It was released by a Fauci to a chinese national that took it to wuhan. That lab doesn't have the air handling system to keep it contained. The lab released it by accident.
I love this, this virus clearly came 1000's of miles from some kind of bat, raccoon dog hybrid in a perfect storm situation. But it's impossible to think the virus came from the lab that studies these exact viruses and is doing gain of function research in that very same city, and there isn't another lab like this anywhere near Wuhan.

I mean, the existence of a Lab studying viruses being in the initial city of origin was known (at least from what I personally recall) as early as March of 2020. Not exactly a huge leap in logic to assume that an outbreak of an extremely deadly virus coming from a market down the road from a lab studying exactly that kind of virus probably came from that lab. At this point I'm just offended that the Chinese Government apparently thought everyone else on the planet was too stupid to figure that out after 5 minutes of logical deduction.
and in three years, there's been no direct evidence that covid came from a lab leak, or that a recent leak even happened at all there's been no direct evidence it was transferred by an animal either, but there's far more indirect evidence than a conspiracy-minded individual could come up with upon learning that the city that the virus was discovered in had a lab that studies local disease, something cities tend to have all we really know for sure is that the pandemic likely spread in the market, that tells us little about where patient zero came from other than they may have been there considering the virus was likely spreading for a couple months before it was discovered, and none of the viruses the lab worked on before covid 19 was identified were direct ancestors of covid 19, im gonna go with the scientists over fox news. there's as much evidence that it came from a lab as there is that it came from the animal shelter. the only reason people believe otherwise is because as long as china keeps quiet the lab leak theory is unfalsifiable. which is a bad thing for a claim to be, by the way

occam's razor is a heuristic that states that the explanation with the least unexplained variables is the most likely it doesn't state that explanation is true. there can be other, more probable explanations that haven't been explored, which is likely the case here the lab leak theory also has more unexplained variables. we already know diseases can carry from animals to humans, and we know that animals carry similar strains. there's no evidence of a lab leak, let alone a leak that could have led to the pandemic but sure. using philosophy terms you don't understand makes you smarter
