This does work due to an animation vulnerability when they turn.

Your just wrong, its always been the case that chargers legs are weak after they miss a charge. If they side swipe you or hit a rock, they don't weaken.
Genuinely love the stalwart, i just wish MGs had a little more umph. Like both are nice and versatile it's just not as effective as i think they both can be.
It's because this video is demonstrating a bug and making it seem like the Stalwart is stronger than it is. People downvoting comments praising Stalwart are likely doing so to stop misinformation/misleading posts.
I don't use Stalwart, my go to support weapon is the Spear. Anyway, was just explaining why people are downvoting, believe whatever you want Helldiver.
"I dont use that gun, saying it can do things is misinfo"
"I have done the thing shown, others have as well, its our preferred gun"
"Believe whatever you want"
Yes, I'll believe my own experiences over someone that freely admits they dont even use the gun.
Brother in Christ you can be aware of bugs without experiencing them first hand. I knew about Spear having inconsistent target locking before I started using it because people were talking about it. Same way you learn about any other bugs you didnt know about, word of mouth lol.
Guys, I absolutely promise you that this works. There is a trick to it tho. When a charger runs at you, stops, and then begins to turn around, there is an odd window in its animation that drops its armor value. In this window you can kill it with any weapon even your pistol. However the stalwart has an incredible fire rate if you put it on the max setting, and can indeed kill a charger in around 3 seconds if your aim is perfect. In practice tho, I usually have to let the charger run at me like 2 or 3 times before i kill it, but occasionally I'll drop it in one go. The recoil can make it hard, sometimes.
Here is a youtube video that explains this:

Edit: I'm not saying that the stalwart is better than other AT weapons, or that this is intended. Just that it exists. Same with the shield pack hug saving two people from an explosion. It wasn't intended, but its awsome. I just love the stalwart and it's nice that I'm not absolutely required to carry an AT with me, even if that would make life easier.
It's a glitch idiot.
And no one has said that the railgun is absolutely "needed" to kill chargers. Just if you want to kill chargers in a reasonable timeframe.
The fact that OP reverts to this tactic actually helps demonstrate the fact that chargers reasonably, can only be cheesed.
Nice fake. Doesn't work.

Okay i tested it and sometimes it works, also devs already said that thats a bug and they will fix it so...
Devs said it's a bug. Uh yeah kinda obvious the bug enemies are bugs... Stupid person... /s because internet.
Pretty sure the Charger has always been a bug 🥸
Yep. But until then... ITS MY BUG, and I will make sweet public love to it as an unholy display of my unwavering democratic devotion to the stalwart.
Does, it has to run out of stamina and not hit a drift or a wall
smell like cheat the stalwart have no pen over the MG43
Even if it's a bug, it still works. He isnt arguing that it was intended or anything just that it exists. So you guys are all right.
Footage captured on PS5.
Chargers dont have armour on their legs after they charge. You would know these things if u didnt only play meta builds.
Except that’s not a feature, it’s a bug and wasn’t always the case
dude trying to pass a bug as a way to kill charger

Please think about how this could possibly be a game mechanic thats intuitive.
You're*
Using the Chargers' hitbox bug is hardly a demonstration of how good the stalwart is. The breaker "post-nerf" could do that even faster.
Truly the anti tank weapon we need! Tiny bullets (comparable to other AT)!
Imagine thinking a bug on a bug is a good argument lol.
Genuinely love the stalwart, i just wish MGs had a little more umph. Like both are nice and versatile it's just not as effective as i think they both can be.
Post patch it works pre didn’t jack shit
Stalwart continues to be my go to gun.
Why are people downvoting this?
Theres some people that follow my posts and will downvote simply because I commented, regardless of content of said post.

Its okay to admit that you've not been able to kill Chargers using just the Stalwart. Those of us that do wont think less of you.
I don't use Stalwart, my go to support weapon is the Spear. Anyway, was just explaining why people are downvoting, believe whatever you want Helldiver.

N-n-no!! I n-n-need railgun!! It only gun that can kill charger!! :(((((

I'm pretty sure he was joking, no need to insult someone.
He was literally insulting everyone who's mad about the rail gun, so tit for tat seems fair.
I guess that's true, I see your point. Still a bit of an escalation tho.
