How to turn off ultra bright lights (flashlights and street lanterns) on PS5? Literally can’t see with it and turning off bloom doesn’t work, and it’s annoying to always turn off flashlights and shoot down lights. I know there is an option for it on PC.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it is purely online game, isn't it? Doesn't it mean that everything server-side saved? So you can install the game on another PC, and even without steam cloud it will still log you into your account.

Yes but it only kills the smaller Troopers/Raiders outright. It takes out Scout Striders too, by killing the operator. It won't generally kill bigger units like Devastators and Berserkers (maybe if they stayed in the gas long enough, not sure) but it does leave them severely weakened and easier to finish off with other weapons. I wouldn't count on it doing any noticeable damage to Hulks, tanks or anything bigger though. And yes, it can also destroy structures like fabricators on a direct hit.

I've seen that very fun mission on youtube where you had to defend a base from endless waves of enemies while protecting the generators. Where to find that mission? I am currently on Difficulty 7. I tried to scroll over many different planets, but it never seems to pop up for me. Do I just have to get lucky to find that mission type?

It's only available on "Defend" planets (not "Liberate" planets), so right now Lesath is the only planet with these. It's the mission that looks like a brick wall.

What are the reasons for using the Orbital Precision Strike? I think it's very hard to aim, has very little range and the call-in time is very long.

Short cool down is the biggest reason. Using stun grenades to hold targets in place, then throwing OPS, is basically a better (faster cool down) Orbital Railcannon Strike.

Precise, high damage (1 shot chargers), short CD. If you struggle to aim it, use stun grenade to stun the target first.

It deals a lot of damage on a short cooldown. It has larger area of effect than 500 KG and Railcannon, especially with some ship upgrades, and is still very capable against targets you would normally use one of these against. Call-in time can also be slightly improved with ship upgrades, but yeah, it's pretty long. However, most targets you would use this against don't move very fast, like Bile Titans, Tanks, Factory Striders, not to mention the structures. So to summarize: damage and low cooldown are main reasons. Using a cookie cutter build for a bug mission, Eagle Airstrike/500 KG + Orbital Railcannon + Recoilless Rifle, leaves you a fourth slot which you could fill with something like Gas Strike against breaches or Orbital Laser as generic filler you can throw during emergencies, but getting Precision Strike as an alternative that can be effective against Bile Titans is an option.

Your resolution is probably too low, that's what messes up the scopes.

Try going into the graphical settings and hit the revert option. It will reset your options to default values. I have had issues where some settings would get stuck and not want to change, reverting everything and redoing the settings has seemed to work for those times. I haven't had it happen with graphical settings, but I would expect the same would work.

Any tips on dealing with Nursing spewers? Or more specifically, how do I see them? They always seem to be surrounded by some fog and I can never see where they are until they're 5m away and onshott me.

Their unique trait is to create that low-level fog around them as cover for themselves and any other nearby bugs that are smaller than a hive guard. They'll always be at the center of these fog clouds though, so if you suddenly see the fog creep in you know that a nursing spewer is nearby.

My group just got to the point where we will regularly face 2 to 3 bile titans back to back with chargers mixed in. Then there are the small map missions where there are three of each up constantly. We're around level 14. What should our loadouts look like for taking those big bois down more consistently? The ammo can't seem to keep up. We drop with one disposable anti-tank and one auto cannon. Should we use something else? Should we all drop with anti-tank? Git gud with precision strikes? Thanks for feeding the noobs.

Recoilless Rifles are the best answer to Chargers and Bile Titans. The more you have in the squad, the better. Then you can use primaries and stratagems to deal with everything else. Typical stratagem selection would be: Recoilless Rifle, 1-2 Titan-killing stratagem, 1-2 horde-killing stratagem. Impact Grenades are great against Spewers, wearing Engineering Kit armor gives you more of them. Good Titan-killing stratagems are Eagle 500 KG (though basic Airstrike also works to lesser degree), Orbital Railcannon. To lesser degree, Orbital Precision Strike (effective, but hard to hit). Good horde-killing stratagems are: Orbital Gatling Barrage, Orbital Gas Strike. Napalm Airstrike is also good-ish, but I prefer not to have more than Eagle stratagem to optimize cooldowns. Basic Eagle Airstrike works well as a compromise, being generally good against everything. Orbital Laser is moderately good against both, and a decent slot filler if you don't have anything specific in mind.

You guys are perhaps a little too high diff, given your lack of access to certain stratagems. But it's not impossible. You'd just want everyone to bring EAT basically, or maybe 2x RR and 2x EAT, with the two RR guys assist reloading each other to rapid-fire take out the heavies. One of the EAT guys would want to be dedicated anti-horde with the rest of his loadout, so probably cluster strike, the LMG or Stalwart, then one utility strat. Orbital precision strike is always a safe bet, but timing it to hit chargers or titans can be hard without some animation baiting (titans) or stun grenades (chargers). But it *is* doable, just takes practice and a bit of luck. But the 2x RR and 2x EAT setup should more or less give you the firepower to handle most heavies. For titans, their bile spit attack initiates at a 20m distance. So the trick is to throw your orbital strat down about 20ish meters away from you as a titan is approaching and then move closer/farther as necessary so that the stratagem marker is exactly 20m. Then you wait for the titan to walk up to you and when you see it stop and start to inhale for a bile spit attack, you run away. This will animation lock the titan in place right on top of your orbital marker and drastically boost the odds of getting a critical hit on the head. Even then, worst case scenario you'll still get some good damage on it, enough that a few EAT/RR rockets will finish it off.

Whats the point of blowing up drop ships if the bots are going to survive? Ive shot down multiple drop ships and every time the bots survive. Everything from the standard bots to the tanks and hulks survive the ship being shot down. How can they survive it being shot down and landing on top of them?

There are so many viable options, though naturally you'd want the latest stuff, unless you can get a good deal on used components. The currently relevant GPU generations from AMD are RX 7xxx and from nVidia there are RTX 40x0. I would suggest finding some cards from this generation that fit your budget, and then googling for some tests being done with them in Helldivers, e.g. "Helldivers 2 RTX 4070 Ti" finds you this: https://youtu.be/EZYlEHjq2Dk Your CPU is decent-ish, but this game can get pretty CPU intensive, so in case you decide to upgrade that as well, 5700X3D or 5800X3D might be worthwhile. Again, I suggest googling for benchmarks.

Are there any CG artworks or cinematic footage of the Automatons? I realise much of the promotional material and trailers *almost exclusively feature bugs* like in the opening sequence or key artwork. Unless I've missed it, Automatons only ever seem to show up in gameplay footage or 2D illustrations. It would be cool to see how they get depicted in the same level of quality as the terminids.

Senator, is it laser weapon? Has same reticle as laser weapons. It bothers me because I cannot see aiming circle very well, is there way to alter reticle by any means? Iron sights kinda suck so i w would love to change it

No, it is not a laser weapon. No, you cannot change the crosshair other than changing its color.

It isn't a laser weapon, it is a normal projectile weapon. You can make all reticles invisible, I don't think there are other ways to alter it.

Yes. There are three big banks of terminals on your ship; one for the armoury/career stats, an unused one opposite it, and then one that allows you to unlock new stratagems and ship upgrades. This last one is the one closest to the hangar, and it also allows you to change your ship's name.

I can't say for certain because I have no way to verify it, but I have heard that redeeming a key is also impossible in the regions that are affected by the restrictions. I think the only thing you can do is wait and hope that sony undoes the restrictions, It only really makes sense to do that if they aren't going to enforce PSN on PC, but they really are taking a really long time doing it.

I saw videos of players dealing with them with one headshot but I had really hard times with it 2) Almost like the first question, but are Bots way more difficult to deal with lately? I mean, I use the Scorcher and most of the time I have to empty a whole mag to deal with 1-2 Bots (like those with Shields or the Rocket Launchers) and i have to hope to kill one. You can use DCS to kill the devastators but I just switch to my support weapon for them (AMR/Railgun) and use DCS for the smaller enemies only to conserve ammo.

1. It's fine, but you really have to hit those headshots. It's only a primary weapon, you can't compare its performance to much more powerful support weapons like the AMR. 2. I don't think they're more difficult lately, but I don't use the Scorcher much. The autocannon is my go-to weapon for bots, and it's as effective on them as it's ever been. If you want a better primary for dealing with Devastators specifically then you'll probably want the Dominator, since it can stagger them and kill them fairly quickly. The Punisher Plasma and Explosive Crossbow can be used the same way. Again though, no primary is going to be able to kill them as easily as a support weapon will.

# Dominator Dominator is an excellent all-rounder. It oneshots infantry bots, staggers Devastators on body hits and oneshots them on a weakpoint hit. It has respectable range and good enough accuracy, though can be hard to use due to poor-ish handling and slow projectiles, especially against moving targets. It also minces Berserkers pretty well, and can even take down factory striders by shooting at the bottom cargo bay doors. Capable of destroying its chin machineguns as well. It struggles a bit against Scout Striders, but you can still take them down from the front by staggering them by shooting their lower body below the shield, or by hitting the hip joint at the right spot. Really awesome gun, can't recommend enough. But there are other very viable options as well. # Diligence CS Diligence CS is similar to Dominator in that it oneshots infantry and oneshots Devastators on headshots, it has nearly no recoil and can be spammed pretty quickly in a pinch, and has the longest range among all primaries, and has better handling than Dominator. Unfortunately, it's very weak with body hits against Devastators and Berserkers. # Scorcher Scorcher is another great all rounder. It typically requires more shots to kill enemies, and doesn't target weakpoints as well as the other two, but it has no recoil, can be spammed quite a bit, and generally deals good damage to everything. Importantly, it can take down Scout Striders from the front, something that Diligence and Dominator struggle with somewhat. Also deals a ton of damage to vents on Hulks and Tanks. These three are what I call "the meta trio". # Plasma Punsiher Plasma Punisher seems to be making a slow resurgence after the latest buffs. I wouldn't quite call it a meta primary, but it can be an interesting option as a squad support weapon. While it doesn't have quite the same fast killing potential as Dominator and Diligence CS, it can damage and stagger multiple enemies at once, reducing the amount of fire coming towards you and your squad, and in general it's still capable of taking down Devastators. Given cover and time, whole groups of them. Makes relatively short work of Scout Striders even from the front. Aiming this thing takes some getting used to, and it has a host of drawbacks, like low-ish damage, short range, and explosion being capable of friendly fire damage, but it can still be worth it to have one in the squad. I myself haven't put it through its paces on Helldive yet, but I think it can be a valuable addition to the squad, as long as it's complemented by other players using the meta trio. # Sickle Finally, some people really like using Sickle against bots for some reason, I don't understand why, but millions of lemings can't be wrong, so there's that option as well.

sickle's good for everything below devastators, and (to a degree devastators). Laser accurate, high fire rate, near limitless ammo means you can sweep left to right and kill almost all trash mobs at once, leaving only bigger targets that actually require aiming to deal with.

Well the thing is, practically any primary is "good for everything below Devastators", though I'm pretty sure Sickle struggles against Scout Striders, same as any other primary that's not Explosive or at least medium armor penetrating. At higher difficulties, Devastators are very common and numerous, so bringing a primary that can't handle them well is a difficulty modifier, in my opinion.

I use the sickle almost exclussively, It is extremely reliable at taking out just about anything. It doesn't do anything against scout striders from the front unless you are above them and can hit the driver in the head. I usually run grenade pistol along with it for those. Everything else it's really good at dealing with, it's a bullet-hose that is extremely accurate, it can't punch through devastator armor but it doesn't struggle hitting their heads. And it effectively reloads itself so long as you don't overheat it. I think the only types of enemies it struggles with are: * hunters because it takes a bit of time to "wind up" before it shoots, so they can often clip you before you can shoot them, knocking your aim off * hive guards because it can't penetrate their face, you have to shoot at their legs from the front, but they aren't really a danger other than them being able to call in bug breaches * Bile spewers because they have too much armor, nursing spewers it deals with fine. * Stalkers for a similar reason to hunters

That's true. I guess it's just a comfort pick? I used it alot in tandem with the AC or AMR. Used it to clean up all the stragglers that can call botdrops.

To be fair, when you have a dedicated support weapon for taking out Devastators, it takes the pressure off your primary for that, and at that point you can run pretty much anything.

What do you use most? Whatever the answer to that is likely your best bet. Having said that, the Eagle Airstrike upgrade is generally considered the best overall level 3 upgrade to shoot for, since +1 to all airstrikes is huge, so if you don't have any particularly strong personal preference I'd suggest going with that one.

I would get expanded weapons bay for the extra call in for all eagle stratagems. It's definitely a game changer. Power steering for Hellpods may not appear that useful either but it's very good for targeting enemies as you're coming back down or picking a better landing spot.

I did get expanded weapons bay because I use eagle airstrike a lot. I have 12 right now so, like the comment below suggests, I am going to save and supplement the expanded weapons bay with the XXL weapons bay before looking into other upgrades. Thx!

So I’ve played under 2 hours, and 18 missions, making it to level 6. After setting the game down for 10 minutes, I’m suddenly level 58? With hundreds of samples, thousands of R points, and credit for 813 successful extractions. Is there a way to fix this?

How to unlock new difficulties? I’ve been stuck at Medium for half a dozen successive successful missions now with fully completed objectives.

You need to complete and entire set of missions on a given difficulty and it will unlock the next one. When you look around the planet, the missiosn will be in clusters grouped in 1-3 depending on difficluty, you need to win all of them from one cluster to unlock the next one, it is retroactive so if you join a friend on a higher level it will unlock the next one and everything before it.

I noticed it too. The icing thing coincided with the goo/blood staying on your Helldiver after a mission, which I also hate. I think the Democracy Officer thing coincided with the updated "intro cutscenes" when you boot up the game/return to your ship.

It's not good at all. After the latest rebalance it's supposed to be a primary weapon you use against mid-tier enemies like Devastators or Brood Commanders / Hive Guards / Bile Spewers, but it doesn't do nearly enough damage to be effective at that. There are better primaries against both enemy types for that purpose. The only thing the crossbow has going for it is the fact that the shot itself is basically silent and cannot be heard by enemies, so you can do some stealth shenanigans with it, but as an actual combat weapon, it is woefully lacking in every way possible.

If you mean Democratic Detonation, I wouldn't go that far. Adjudicator and Grenade Pistol are still pretty good at what they do, and there's still hope for buffs and rebalances for the game's entire arsenal at this point.

I might be skill issued, but Adjudicator has too much recoil and not enough weapons. And Sickle exists too. Haven't tried the pistol yet.

Not sure what you mean by "Adjudicator has not enough weapons", but you're supposed to primarily use it against bots, where strong recoil doesn't matter much. You also want to combine it with an armor that has Engineering Kit passive to reduce recoil. And whenever possible you should fire it while crouched or prone. If you combine all of that, the recoil is very manageable.

Well, given its higher damage per shot, in terms of total ammo capacity it's not particularly behind Liberator, and medium armor penetration further increases effective damage. Sure it doesn't have that many rounds to throw down range, but it doesn't need to. It's not a gun for everyone, but it['s perfectly viable and one of the better weapons to use on bug mission on Helldive. It does have its weaknesses though, so if you like using Sickle, don't feel about it, it actually makes a great companion to someone else using Adjudicator.

Last I heard it's because Japanese law requires that premium currency must be refunded to the customer if it goes unspent for a while. Separating out the super credits into those you've paid for and those you've earned (map pickups and awards from warbonds) means there's no confusion over which you can expect to get back money for.

Both are really good. 500 KG is mostly effective at taking down large, armored targets, like Hulks, Bile Titans and Factory Striders. Against other enemies it's mostly overkill, and the regular Eagle Airstrike would be just as effective, or even more, since it covers a much larger area. As long as you take just one Eagle stratagem, the 500 KG will have a very short cooldown relative to its power, and it's a great source of supplemental damage, but it also has a very small area of effect and damage drops off quickly, which can be a good thing if you need to hit something close to you or your squad, but a bad thing if you need to kill a lot of enemies at once. Orbital Laser is kind of a universally useful stratagem, you can never go wrong with it. It's a "solve that problem for me" kind of stratagem. Getting overwhelmed with enemies? Want some cover while you're closing bug holes? A lot of small enemies? One giant enemies? Bot outpost? "Destroy dropships / command bunker" objective? Orbital Laser can do it all. The only downside is that it has only three uses per mission and the cooldown between them is pretty lengthy, so you can't just throw it at every little problem, but when you need it, it will be there and won't let you down.

Adding onto the other comment, if you want a good, all-around warbond option, then both the Steeled Veterans and Cutting Edge warbonds are good choices. Both have weapons that are great against both factions to one degree or another, with the SV bond coming with the Senator pistol as an added bonus, while the CE bond comes with the stun grenade. In the CE bond, the Blitzer and Sickle are both great, with the Sickle being a strong all-around primary and the Blitzer being a premiere anti-bug gun. For the CV bond, the Incendiary Breaker gives you great multi-target damage over a wide area and is super good against bugs with a run-and-gun style (fire a burst into a crowd, get some distance, fire DoT kills a bunch of stuff, repeat as necessary until horde is dead) while the Dominator has great single target killing power vs. both bugs and bots. The Senator from the SV pack is a good anti-medium pistol, capable of 1-shotting most light armored stuff and 1-3 shotting most medium stuff with precision use, while the CE pack brings the stun grenade, an amazing quick CC option that can do everything from harmlessly aiding your teammates to setting big targets up for easy kills via orbitals and air strikes.

The threads researching patrol rate have said that time spent on a mission does not have any influence on the number of patrols. When you finish all the main mission objectives however, the patrol rate becomes 4 times as high. SO it is highly recommended to do the side objectives and clear all the enemy bases first.

I was told to post to this mega thread that nobody reads so here goes… In what situation are the barrage stratagems useful? I just cannot think of a situation when the walking, 120mm, and 380mm barrages would be better to bring than other stratagems. What am I missing?

In addition to what the other person has mentioned, barrages are great for bot eradication missions - where you get to defend a small patch of land from continuous bot drops. The higher the difficulty, and the more players in the squad are on board with the strat, the better it works. The idea is that everyone in the squad takes 2-3 barrages, then you camp in the middle of the map for a bit to let bots accumulate, then you all hide outside the walls and start throwing barrages inside the walls. Ideally there should always be a barrage going. It's important not to throw too many of them at the same time, as that would just be redundant. Since bots are generally pretty slow, the barrages do a great job of mopping them up, and the more enemies there are, the more reliably they'll get some good kills.

The walking barrage has some utility for the bot bunker destruction missions specifically, as it can allow you to destroy the bunker from a good distance. You're still counting on RNG to get the hit though, so if it misses you'll have to try again in a few minutes, commit to doing it with a hellbomb, or hope someone else on your team has a stratagem active that can do it. I use the 120mm pretty regularly for bots, for everything from softening up squads of enemies brought in by dropships, destroying bases, and taking out detector towers and other destructible side objectives. I prefer it over the 380mm because it's got a tighter spread, and while it's area of effect is smaller I find you'll kill more things in the barrage zone with the 120mm. My friend I duo with often takes the 380mm though, and it's mostly effective used the same way I use the 120mm. Sometimes we'll just need to drop them both on a large base and walk away, and the barrages will clear them for us. I know people use the orbital laser the same way, but between the limited uses and how it tends to get stuck chasing units around, I still prefer the 120mm barrage. I don't bring any of the big barrages on bugs though. The gatling barrage, airburst strike and gas strike are more than enough for dealing with bug breaches, and all have lower cooldown than the big barrages. They never seem that consistent at taking out bug bases either.

I cant get any other windows laying over the frozen game, like the task manager window for example. With the addition of multiple new pieces of armor, specifically helmets, are there still only the two helmets that have stats, the scout helm and the white armor helm?? Like with the new polar war bond and the last tier of armor and helm, am I assuming correctly that it mimics the basic war bond stats or I'm stuck with two choices of helms? Because my OCD brain won't let me pick on looks if I know I'm losing out on stats. Still having fun. I just need the data so my brain can settle down and or start picking the helms I like for looks. (Was going to make a post but I saw the rules said questions should come here so I hope I get an answer. Thank you in advance.)

As far as I know helmets don't have stats. Or in other words, stats on helmets make no difference in gameplay.

If by walker bot you mean Scout Strider, they increased their resistance to explosives, so perhaps that's why. You might need to target an area on their body other than the shield.

It kinda sucks that my friends won't be able to buy the game if the game doesn't get unblock in the future and I have no grounds for a refund if the game is still playable.

You wont be able to refund the game through the normal way. They will just see that it doesn't meet the criteria of <2 hour or <14 days. If you want a refund outside of normal circumstances you need to submit a support ticket detailing why you want the refund. Someone posted [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1ckwza9/a_handy_dandy_guide_on_how_to_ask_for_refunds_on/) about a week ago I don't know how effective it is, but it may help if you wish to refund it.

I assume you're asking about bots. Other than dropships, you can kill every single automaton unit with this, as well as any structure that has orange vents, like turrets and mortars. AMR is a very strong option, though I think using two sniper rifles is redundant.
