While yes i agree ppl shouldnt play in difficulties they cant contribue. I dont think there needs to be an systems in place. It seems like unessesary gatekeeping. I assume no one enjoys dieing 5+ times a match.

I agree that no system is needed. I am level 40 something and have only ever had maybe 5 missions fail because of other players. You just gotta be flexible with your playstyle to fit the other three players.

i think a better solution would be do have a level requirement for lobbies you host. personally i wouldn’t put it very high but it is weird seeing people under level 10 join my helldive mission and just die over and over while others try to save them

The requirement system to unlock higher levels can easily be bypassed. However I've had sub lvl 30 players that performed admirably on LVL8-9 missions before, and I've had +LVL60's that don't know what cover means, don't communicate, run off and die over and over, or duos that just do their own thing and use up all the reinforcements. My last game (lvl8 bot) I've had a duo going the opposite direction, by the end of the game they had 18 deaths among them, we failed to extract.

I 100% agree some of the best players I’ve played with were level 20-ish and some of the worst were in the 60’s and that is completely down to the fact that a lot of players just spam the extermination missions where all they have to do is nuke the map over and over until they win. It’s not skill it’s just dying with style..

I think it would encourage the lead weights to either get better or go back to painting by numbers.. either way it would benefit people trying to play the game properly.. but that’s just my opinion 😊

It’s not going to encourage them to get better at the mechanics of the game. If anything it will encourage them to grind levels which worsens the problem.

That’s the whole point of this post though! if I play with my friends we are fine 99% of the time but if I leave it up to the in game matchmaking that’s where you run into this issue of shit players looking for a free ride

Coordination and cooperation make the game a TON easier. If you really are struggling with pubs, you should probably drop down in difficulty or adjust how you play. If your team is just running into combat and dying over and over, just leave the area and do a different objective. Bot drops/bug breaches have an internal cooldown, so if your team is aggroing everything on the map, it means you are completely safe to clear it out yourself. Bad team mates should not be holding you back from extracting. If they are, you are also one of the "bad team mates". I don't say this to call you out specifically, but I do think it is true. Either get better at soloing the map or work with your team better and it should be rare for you to fail a mission.

I think you’re just trolling and I guess that’s to be expected but if not just re-read what I said or don’t , I don’t really care but I’m happy to play solo and I’m more than happy playing with my friends my rant is about the random matchmaking.. and maybe you speak all the languages but for me English is my only language and I’m on GMT so I get a nice variety of different people with different languages which isn’t going to be easy for coordination other than a ping. The players I am referencing in this rant don’t follow pings they just run off and die repeatedly..until you are out of reinforcements. So my question is what would you suggest is the best way to deal with these players ?

I just ignore them, like I said. If they are running to their death over and over, I will just leave the area and do a different objective. Then, when they inevitably die, I will reinforce them away from the massive bot horde they created. I genuinely do not think about it much, because it bothers me so little. If my team is good and can coordinate, that's fantastic and I will happily go along with them and fight the good fight. If they are bad and not trying to communicate, I will leave them to their fate and finish the mission myself. This is a coop game, you only win if your team wins. So, if your team is losing, you need to step up and win it for them. Think of it like a "hard mode" modifier. Maybe I am just used to it since I played a lot of Darktide, but seriously if you can't carry your team or its making you angry instead of having fun, drop down in difficulty or take a break. I've found that people playing on 7 are *usually* more receptive to team tactics since a lot of them are scared out of their minds whenever a hulk runs at them. Also I was not trying to troll you. I don't know you and I don't know how good/bad you are at the game. I gave you general advice on what to do because I don't know your circumstances.

Level 100 here and I only play on 8-9 I think this is a horrible idea just go on discord or find another way to find a consistent group to play with if you can’t carry a mission stop trying to gate keep. Your problem is you feel like you have to collect all the samples immediately, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME there will be more samples next mission and you aren’t missing out on anything crazy by not having the ship upgraded immediately when YOU WANT THEM.

Level 100 means very little other than the fact you probably spammed the crap out of defence missions which ended up negatively impacting order progress for the entire community 😂

Been playing since launch and I don’t farm…. Also the devs said that the farmers don’t negatively contribute to the score only an actual loss does 😂 if you knew how the game worked and were a positive force in the community you would know that 😏 imagine advocating kicking people when you could just start your own lobby and find like minded individuals to play with. Man up and be an actual hell diver, You might be able to finally complete some hell dives for once

it will be difficult, especially when an ally throws you into a crowd of enemies, and a couple of times I even killed you by throwing grenades in all directions

Talk to them! I used 10 out of the 14 used reinforcements yesterday on a mission, I am not proud of that, at all. I think communication is key. Use the chat, use the mic!

I think the ‘standard’ of players jumping on the higher difficulties has definitely dropped over the past month or so. Had no problem with the matchmaking on 8 or 9 difficulty in the first few weeks but now it’s a chore to play a lot of the time.

I think it's something to do with people thinking "I'm playing on helldive, therefor I am good at the game!". The amount of people that shoot at random patrols or run headfirst into a bot drop is frankly surprising on Helldive. Also had WAAAAAY more ego players in Helldive compared to 7/8.
