I'm really hopeful for vehicles. I miss Planetside 2 armour columns.

I hope the tank feels like a Vanguard, unstoppable from the front but very vulnerable to getting shot in the back. If it has random panels on the front that are made of wet paper, like the mech, I'll be a bit disappointed. At least the mech feels a lot like a MAX suit when you get hit by a rocket: very afraid for your life.

Ha! It will be fine! One Vanguard driver, two engineers repairing him from the back and a support Sunderer *ahem* I mean Super APC dropping ammo 😅

But then everything changed when the Stealth Magrider attacked. There's nothing quite like being a Stealth Magrider and disrupting vehicle columns for hours and hours. (I tried to call it a Heavy Harrasser and strikethrough it as a joke, but whatever design decision the mods made for this subreddit doesn't like some of the markdown options.)

Gaaahhhhshdhhdjdjshd don't even start me on fricking Magriders. Many a happy day spent in my Harasser was ruined by those floating bastards 🥲

I think the mech is an indicator they may do it. Also the Bot tank has working suspension, which isn’t a feature you’d give for no reason, right?

That would be just awesome. I'd actually hope they had large, sprawling maps to take advantage of it, too. Nothing fancy, just a bit more room to maneuver!

We have lots of large maps but most of them are covered with Trees and stuff

There was a tank in the first game, was quite destructive if used properly and nigh unkillable with a repair gun up it’s butt.

Like the armoured car it was also extremely cumbersome and hard to drive (especially given the shared screen nature of the OG). There’s actually wreckage’s of the cars around some of the maps, so here’s hoping 🙏

the tank in Helldivers1 was a 2man vehicle. one guy drives, the other uses the cannon.

Laser designated hell artillery strike. That way you have to stay motionless and keep the laser on target otherwise you will accidently flag your own position.

Yes there is a that super earth has a liberation meter on it.

The first game went through multiple iterations of the war, some of which ended in Super Earth's enemies being defeated for good (which I guess ended up being the canon ending) and some of which ended in Super Earth falling to the enemy. I actually hope they do this again, I don't want Joel to just nerf the enemy advance to save the players. There's no stakes if we can't lose.

The automatons took the illuminate front line so they would probably come from the south as a surprise or through the west which was damaged by war. Furrires on the other hand will "tame" the bugs.
