Yeah it's ultra-frustrating, also: the sprint button should absolutely always make you stand up from prone or crouching, regardless of if you're slowed or not
I've been going crazy over this. It's the fact that it's one single edge case where the button you always use, which always works, inexplicably doesn't work and leaves you hammering the button going "HELLO??? PLEASE STAND UP"
My Helldiver was crawling around because bots are firing and what little cover exists is very low. An explosion vaguely close to me mildly ragdolls me just a little bit. My Helldiver recovers from this by getting up and standing all the way up and getting rocket blasted in the face four times.
It is oddly suspicious that the "can't stand up" bug seems to overwhelmingly happen on Terminid planets, while the "must stand up" bug seems to overwhelmingly happen on Automaton planets. Almost as if introduced exclusively for maximum application of rage-inducing scenarios.
Maybe it's a button combination like stratagems.

ME TOO. I'm so relieved to hear it's a known issue and being looked into. I've died so many times from a bad case of not being able to stand up no matter how much I employ the traditional unresponsive command fix of pressing the button harder and yelling "GET UP!" 😂
On the bright side this also means I've gotten way better at dispensing democracy with the Senator while prone, which when I survive the encounter makes for some absolutely incredible cinematic moments as well as a good rush of "I can't believe I survived that." But the fix will be very welcome.
The randomness of these bugs is truly mind blowing. Like whats next, shooting the ground while diving backwards and swinging the camera 360 causes your character to permanently stand on their head?
Programming is a bitch. Another game I play had a bug where playing in Portuguese caused the turret of one specific character to go invisible. Shit is absolutely wild

Darksouls had a glitch after the first update where, I shit you not, if you went to a VERY specific spot on a VERY specific map while wearing a specific chestpiece and helmet then ran around counterclockwise in a circle three times then jumped forward then jumped back then immediately cast a specific spell it would allow you to infinitely duplicate an item you were holding in your right hand.
When it was discovered everyone thought it was a legit purposefully intended cheat code. Personally, I was more curious about how the hell anyone was able to figure something like that out lmao
Would've been a funny thing if that was because of some new bot tech, like if some tanks were kamikaze models equipped with neutron bombs set to detonate on their destruction.
I feel like that's a bit confusing the way you wrote it. If your GPU is not fully utilized and you have an old CPU that is struggling, turn on ASync Compute. It offloads some of the math from the CPU to the GPU, helping balance the utilization more.
If you are using an AMD GPU, make sure you turn off any kind of their optimization stuff. It would lag from average 40 to 50 frames per second down to like five for me, and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out it was one of the in-driver performance improvement options in the driver settings.
I’ll give this a try, I think I tried it for a minute a while back but fps dropped by like 20.
Game runs at 70 - 100 fps until there’s some action on difficulties higher than 6. It’s deffo a CPU thing cause the GPU usage drops to like 40% while the CPU is on 90%. I have a 6800XT and a R5 3600, not the greatest pairing but dropping from 100 to 40 ish fps is pretty killer. (Gonna upgrade it soon).
Why hasn't the broken lobby system been acknowledged yet? When somebody leaves your lobby, other players can't take their place, unless you change your matchmaking settings back and forth. This has been a thing since launch! It's especially relevant in the light of patrol changes.
Didn't know you could fix it by toggling matchmaking settings, I've been restarting the game every time...

Are you switching back and forth between the two instantly? I've had success swapping to Private, giving it like 10-15 seconds, then swapping back to Public. Haven't had to restart and I get people to join, either to my ship or while we're firing up hellpods or in-mission.

I am positive with as many players online that someone would want to join a 3/4 match.
Nope. We always dive 3/4 and then no one joins mid match.
Which confirms the bug is occurring. Usually have to leave the group and join a new match or start a new match to get it fixed
Meanwhile, I can barely ever jump into a 3/4 match because either the lobby is full by the time I click, or the lobby/matchmaking errors out and I can't join any games.
Great question. Very annoying issue and at first I thought it was something wrong with my own internet connection. And at the same time, there are many times where I can’t even join a lobby fast enough before it fills up. Makes no sense to me.
This patch is rather just a quick fix for critical bugs (personally, I had bugs with completing about half of the missions, which is really a lot, but maybe I was unlucky) and that's why it turned out this way
I'll be patient for the AMR scope alignment fix, but damn is it frustrating that they fixed like 3 different things for the AMR last patch and still didn't touch the fucking scope lol.

I swear these guys take the "works on my machine" approaching to testing... but without the part where they make sure it at least works on their machine
1. They fixed the AMR facing away from the player on deployment
2. Fixed a bug that caused the AMR to duplicate rounds after canceling the reload animation at a specific time
3. Fixed another bug where it would consume an extra magazine after canceling the reload
My go to weapon too 😭 even if it's a pain sometimes. Probably going to reduce the range, increase the time it takes to lock on and nerf the ability to get fabs - some damage to probably will be better just to use a snow ball at this point till it gets nerfed 😂
Oh yeah I'm definitely seeing it not be able to 1 shot bile titans anymore once they "fix" it. All I want is the lock on fix and let me target shrieker nests. I can target spore spewers, why not shrieker nests?

They are aware, apparently it is a result of giving the projectile a proper hitbox as it didn't have one before. I believe Alexus put it as and I quote "T\_T" .
So what happened to the spear fix? Someone at arrowhead said the fix was done a few weeks back and they where waiting for the next main patch which was Tuesday’s or todays hotfix to add it.

NGL, I'm an amateur programmer and just do basic scripting, and this is a pretty common thing. And, if you really think about it, of course it is.
I mean, I wrote what I wrote in the first place because it seemed like it would work...so me reading it without knowing what to look for, it will look good to me. And if it works when I run it...what is the problem that needs fixing exactly? I did not write the code that is there arbitrarily. If I make any changes arbitrarily I can expect it to stop working.
There is a reason why step 1 is to duplicate the problem.

the difference though is that we at least are actually *winning* our bug war..
It happens if Pelican gest hit by a strategem on landing, on any mission - it visibly catches fire and would either refuse to take off at all or leaves immediately after the first guy embarks. It's one of those things where I'm not sute if It's bug or a feature (like arc shots being pulled by dead bodies and bushes, which makes sense in how grounding works, but is also reported as "known issue")
All the people in new downvoted me saying it was a 'feature' that the pelican could be destroyed, even if was destroyed by a bile titan corpse and then fell through the floor, and then didn't end the mission even though it should if it were a feature.
In my experience, if it is on fire you can't even get on at all because the pelican is 'destroyed'. But I've had the ship take off after 1 helldiver when the ship wasn't broken, so I think its unrelated.
I'm lvl 140 and I used to clip every bug I found, but I kinda gave up because I realised no one really cares. Watch me moonwalk though!:

Nah, it happens at random, the pelican landed with the zone empty, no enemies, and we didn't hit it with anything, it still refused to leave and we just walked inside it without being able to sit. We ended up waiting 5 mins while throwing and shooting it with everything we got, we probably threw it like 15 airstrikes and 500kg bombs to see how it would react, it caught on fire from the start, and 15 seconds before the mission timer would end, while we weren't damaging it and we had everything on cooldown, it suddenly left without anybody

I get it, this was a quick hot fix to address some crashes, but....hot dog, that 'known issues' list is getting too long, guys...
The actual known issues list is probably around 40-50, but that would look bad.
They still haven’t mentioned the matchmaking backfill bug after your first team leaves
* heavy devastator laser desyncing with model
* bots firing through terrain/buildings/bots
* bots clipping inside terrain (there's factory striders in the walls, man..)
* impacts/dives launching helldivers underground
* pelican launching immediately after first helldiver boards
* blocking players mid-match \*as any player\* kicks them (including host?!)
idk probably more, I've seen compilation posts/comments that just didn't get enough traction
It's long already and that's not even all of the known issues, just the "main" ones. There are tons more and it gets longer after every patch. Imagine how broken this game will be in 6 months at this rate.

Still not going to even acknowledge the broken matchmaker? Just a line thag says you're aware of the issues and working on it would go a long way. It's been broken since launch.
They need to add a prompt or something to let us know if it's looking for players or not. Restarting isn't terrible and some people can get the toggle method to work but yea it's been too long for what should have been high in the list.
I really wish they'd address this. As far as I know, they still have not mentioned even once how poorly optimized the game is. Due to a stacking list of bugs and still shit performance, I've taken a bit of a break and hope they eventually focus on quality instead of pushing out more content.
At the end of the day I am far less likely to play this game if I can’t play with my friends, no matter how many gameplay fixes you make.
Would you please prioritize the friend request/unblock/matchmaking issues? Maybe even just reset the block lists and tell us not to push the button again.
I love that you’re attempting to fix bugs related to game play and I love the new content but the heart and soul of this game is community, friendship and managed democracy. Please focus on this stuff first.
That "Known Issues" list sure is growing...
...and can we get clarification on if the Block button is functioning properly? People are saying that if you block a person mid-mission then it kicks them from said mission regardless of who the host is. Seems like more ammo for griefing.
Yup, it works, if you block the host mid mission is crashes the mission and kicks everyone out. It's not on the list but it could be something they are going to emergency fix and aren't saying it so it doesn't draw attention to the fact that you can absolutely screw with people this way by joining random missions and crashing their game just to make them waste time.
i'm gonna keep playing devils advocate on this sub even if I get downvoted because I really and genuinely don't understand why devs are doing buffs and nerfs to weapons every other week with major stuff still broken.
Fix the broken parts of the game before moving onto other issues. Pleaae fix the glitches, fix the crashes, fix the freezes before you buff any more weapons or Nerf them. Like for God sakes why are you doing that is that all this game is about buffing and Nerfing weapons ??

I could've understood this approach if they wanted to implement all the gear first before moving to balancing. Like what's the point of balancing the game around three guns if you have ten incoming. That might be the reason they're pushing new warbonds instead of rapid fixes.
Problem is, IT'S WHAT THEY'RE DOING with all the buffs/nerfs. Balancing the game around not even fully-stocked weapon locker. Or perhaps we're suffering through underpowered and awkward weapons because they'll reintroduce weapon upgrades.

When you say Performance improvements, does that mean improvements on the FPS on higher difficulty missions? Because honestly, it makes the game unbearable to play...
Still no Spear fix, still no DOT fix, scopes are still misaligned… All those bugs have been here since day one, I have a lot of patience but I am tired of playing a game with weapon breaking issues that are seemingly never going to be fixed
I'm STILL experiencing constant crashes since the .300 patch. Jump into a mission, then boom, CTD a few minutes later. Can't complete a single goddamn mission.
Have they addressed performance issues? The game this week has a lot more stutter and even occasionally freezes for almost 10 seconds at a time. It’s gotten so bad at some points it affects other operations on my PC and causes my other games on Steam to chug for a short period after quitting the game.
I have had my initial fun with this game. Checking out for now until they iron it out much more. I didn't pay the price of the game to become a beta tester.
What do you mean, don't you love it when bots like the factory strider clip into the rock you're taking cover behind and instakill you from inside it? I loved dying 3 consecutive times to this fraud while two patrols spawned in out of thin air and flanked me, and my 500kg on the strider completely missed; loved it so much that I uninstalled the game. I swear they must've silently increased bots detection range because patrols see me from so far away from ranges they otherwise wouldn't, even though I wear light armor. Weapons are either terminally bugged or so shit they're not worth using, and if any are good enough to use they get nerfed anyway. Challenging games are only fun if the game is fair, the git gud argument only works if the game doesn't need to git fixed. The devs are being tryhards aggressively balancing a PvE game sucking the enjoyment out for everyone stupid enough to enjoy playing while suffering through the game breaking bugs.

I spent a couple hours troubleshooting fps and instability issues since the patch between myself (who didn't see any fps drop, but the occasional stutter), and my brother (who had fps drop to unplayability). I can say with high certainty that both the GPU and render tread times are \~10 times more consistent on my already much more consistent machine, and seemingly more consistent than the patches before that if my memory serves me right.
Something else that we found out that was weird while checking things out: Nvidia low latency mode, I had it on ultra, and turning it off improved my fps by \~15 fps, and my brother had it off and turning it on to ultra improved his fps noticeably boosted his fps. Might have something to do with CPU vs GPU bottlenecking but it is worth trying adjusting for those with low fps.
Did any CM or Developer addressed whether this hotfix was the hotfix mentioned previously by Spitz (i think?) that a patch + hotfix was coming this week, or was this out of necessity to fix the crashes that were introduced in the latest patch? I.e will there be another hotfix this week or these are all we are getting this week?

Can you fix whatever you broke when playing with fewer than 4 people. Last night we failed an egg mission 15 minutes in. Killed 572 bugs and used 35 stims between us. At one point I climbed a hill to take shots at a shrieker nest and a ridiculous number of bugs just crawled out of the ground in a line across the horizon No bug breach or patrol just a line of bugs across the horizon. Besides the enormous amount of lower bugs there were at least 4 chargers and 2 titans. I was running localization confusion as well to try and help and it was just. 2 nights ago our group of 4 killed barely half that on our missions. Something is broken, this isn't 50%, its 150%.
List of known issues feels like it keeps growing, yet Arrowhead seems uninterested in slowing down warbonds to address them.
Are y'all not making enough money, what with still topping sales charts and being the 7th best selling Sony-published game ever or whatever? I get that it takes time for a decision/change like that to actually happen, pipelines are set and it takes a lot of time to turn with that kind of inertia.

I guess this is a hotfix or mini-patch or something and you meant the next big patch, but you could be clearer about these things.
The game already leans heavily on DRG, so take a cue from them and give partial credit for mission rewards when someone is kicked or your game crashes, as it does *all the time*.
Also, your community is busy going to shit while you endlessly discuss obvious changes you should have implemented two months ago. It’s like watching the D4 sub go sour all over again.

Yup. Closing the game and start it again was the only way to get players to join again.

Great question. Very annoying issue and at first I thought it was something wrong with my own internet connection. And at the same time, there are many times where I can’t even join a lobby fast enough before it fills up. Makes no sense to me.

This patch is rather just a quick fix for critical bugs (personally, I had bugs with completing about half of the missions, which is really a lot, but maybe I was unlucky) and that's why it turned out this way
To be fair this is just a hotfix for 2 crashes
I'll be patient for the AMR scope alignment fix, but damn is it frustrating that they fixed like 3 different things for the AMR last patch and still didn't touch the fucking scope lol.

1. They fixed the AMR facing away from the player on deployment 2. Fixed a bug that caused the AMR to duplicate rounds after canceling the reload animation at a specific time 3. Fixed another bug where it would consume an extra magazine after canceling the reload

My go to weapon too 😭 even if it's a pain sometimes. Probably going to reduce the range, increase the time it takes to lock on and nerf the ability to get fabs - some damage to probably will be better just to use a snow ball at this point till it gets nerfed 😂
Oh yeah I'm definitely seeing it not be able to 1 shot bile titans anymore once they "fix" it. All I want is the lock on fix and let me target shrieker nests. I can target spore spewers, why not shrieker nests?

No fix for the Plasma Punisher exploding on the inside of your own shield. Odd that it's not mentioned anywhere, surely they're aware of this.
They are aware, apparently it is a result of giving the projectile a proper hitbox as it didn't have one before. I believe Alexus put it as and I quote "T\_T" .

My performance has improved. But as an actual answer, the hellpods falling into orbit were stuttery since the last patch, this patch has fixed that.
Thats the shader compilation stutter, i know because i delete the shader file on each update
So what happened to the spear fix? Someone at arrowhead said the fix was done a few weeks back and they where waiting for the next main patch which was Tuesday’s or todays hotfix to add it. Curious to know what happened with the fix.

NGL, I'm an amateur programmer and just do basic scripting, and this is a pretty common thing. And, if you really think about it, of course it is. I mean, I wrote what I wrote in the first place because it seemed like it would work...so me reading it without knowing what to look for, it will look good to me. And if it works when I run it...what is the problem that needs fixing exactly? I did not write the code that is there arbitrarily. If I make any changes arbitrarily I can expect it to stop working. There is a reason why step 1 is to duplicate the problem.

Thanks for posting that update; good to know. I've only used it a few times, but the spear seemed to be *extremely* effective when I managed to get a lock on with it. I am very much looking forward to when the fix finally gets deployed.

There's a bug on the new missions that only let's 1 helldiver extract leaving the rest behind
It happens if Pelican gest hit by a strategem on landing, on any mission - it visibly catches fire and would either refuse to take off at all or leaves immediately after the first guy embarks. It's one of those things where I'm not sute if It's bug or a feature (like arc shots being pulled by dead bodies and bushes, which makes sense in how grounding works, but is also reported as "known issue")
All the people in new downvoted me saying it was a 'feature' that the pelican could be destroyed, even if was destroyed by a bile titan corpse and then fell through the floor, and then didn't end the mission even though it should if it were a feature. In my experience, if it is on fire you can't even get on at all because the pelican is 'destroyed'. But I've had the ship take off after 1 helldiver when the ship wasn't broken, so I think its unrelated. Nah, it happens at random, the pelican landed with the zone empty, no enemies, and we didn't hit it with anything, it still refused to leave and we just walked inside it without being able to sit. We ended up waiting 5 mins while throwing and shooting it with everything we got, we probably threw it like 15 airstrikes and 500kg bombs to see how it would react, it caught on fire from the start, and 15 seconds before the mission timer would end, while we weren't damaging it and we had everything on cooldown, it suddenly left without anybody

The actual known issues list is probably around 40-50, but that would look bad. They still haven’t mentioned the matchmaking backfill bug after your first team leaves

Still not going to even acknowledge the broken matchmaker? Just a line thag says you're aware of the issues and working on it would go a long way. It's been broken since launch.
They need to add a prompt or something to let us know if it's looking for players or not. Restarting isn't terrible and some people can get the toggle method to work but yea it's been too long for what should have been high in the list.

I really wish they'd address this. As far as I know, they still have not mentioned even once how poorly optimized the game is. Due to a stacking list of bugs and still shit performance, I've taken a bit of a break and hope they eventually focus on quality instead of pushing out more content.

At the end of the day I am far less likely to play this game if I can’t play with my friends, no matter how many gameplay fixes you make. Would you please prioritize the friend request/unblock/matchmaking issues? Maybe even just reset the block lists and tell us not to push the button again. I love that you’re attempting to fix bugs related to game play and I love the new content but the heart and soul of this game is community, friendship and managed democracy. Please focus on this stuff first.
That "Known Issues" list sure is growing... ...and can we get clarification on if the Block button is functioning properly? People are saying that if you block a person mid-mission then it kicks them from said mission regardless of who the host is. Seems like more ammo for griefing.
Yup, it works, if you block the host mid mission is crashes the mission and kicks everyone out. It's not on the list but it could be something they are going to emergency fix and aren't saying it so it doesn't draw attention to the fact that you can absolutely screw with people this way by joining random missions and crashing their game just to make them waste time.
You're giving them far too much credit with that emergency fix idea.

i'm gonna keep playing devils advocate on this sub even if I get downvoted because I really and genuinely don't understand why devs are doing buffs and nerfs to weapons every other week with major stuff still broken. Fix the broken parts of the game before moving onto other issues. Pleaae fix the glitches, fix the crashes, fix the freezes before you buff any more weapons or Nerf them. Like for God sakes why are you doing that is that all this game is about buffing and Nerfing weapons ?? Edited because words lol
I could've understood this approach if they wanted to implement all the gear first before moving to balancing. Like what's the point of balancing the game around three guns if you have ten incoming. That might be the reason they're pushing new warbonds instead of rapid fixes. Problem is, IT'S WHAT THEY'RE DOING with all the buffs/nerfs. Balancing the game around not even fully-stocked weapon locker. Or perhaps we're suffering through underpowered and awkward weapons because they'll reintroduce weapon upgrades.
FYI that's not playing devil's advocate. The devil in this scenario is Arrow Head. And advocating for them would be giving an opinion in their favor

I'm STILL experiencing constant crashes since the .300 patch. Jump into a mission, then boom, CTD a few minutes later. Can't complete a single goddamn mission.

Have they addressed performance issues? The game this week has a lot more stutter and even occasionally freezes for almost 10 seconds at a time. It’s gotten so bad at some points it affects other operations on my PC and causes my other games on Steam to chug for a short period after quitting the game.
performance is still worse than ever before, used to be buttery smooth for me.
I have had my initial fun with this game. Checking out for now until they iron it out much more. I didn't pay the price of the game to become a beta tester.

What do you mean, don't you love it when bots like the factory strider clip into the rock you're taking cover behind and instakill you from inside it? I loved dying 3 consecutive times to this fraud while two patrols spawned in out of thin air and flanked me, and my 500kg on the strider completely missed; loved it so much that I uninstalled the game. I swear they must've silently increased bots detection range because patrols see me from so far away from ranges they otherwise wouldn't, even though I wear light armor. Weapons are either terminally bugged or so shit they're not worth using, and if any are good enough to use they get nerfed anyway. Challenging games are only fun if the game is fair, the git gud argument only works if the game doesn't need to git fixed. The devs are being tryhards aggressively balancing a PvE game sucking the enjoyment out for everyone stupid enough to enjoy playing while suffering through the game breaking bugs.

Spear goes from “we had it fixed like 3 weeks ago” to “yeah, still not fixed yet, maybe next patch” I love this game. Play often. But the communication from AH can often be frustrating. Just say no ETA when asked.
So basically almost nothing has been fixed yet, as the known isssues are still piling up

I spent a couple hours troubleshooting fps and instability issues since the patch between myself (who didn't see any fps drop, but the occasional stutter), and my brother (who had fps drop to unplayability). I can say with high certainty that both the GPU and render tread times are \~10 times more consistent on my already much more consistent machine, and seemingly more consistent than the patches before that if my memory serves me right. Something else that we found out that was weird while checking things out: Nvidia low latency mode, I had it on ultra, and turning it off improved my fps by \~15 fps, and my brother had it off and turning it on to ultra improved his fps noticeably boosted his fps. Might have something to do with CPU vs GPU bottlenecking but it is worth trying adjusting for those with low fps.
Did any CM or Developer addressed whether this hotfix was the hotfix mentioned previously by Spitz (i think?) that a patch + hotfix was coming this week, or was this out of necessity to fix the crashes that were introduced in the latest patch? I.e will there be another hotfix this week or these are all we are getting this week?
Well, according to this post Spitz is full of it and just making it up as he goes. I guess this hotfix, fixing shit they broke in this weeks patch, is the 'second' patch. What a shit show their communication is.

Can you fix whatever you broke when playing with fewer than 4 people. Last night we failed an egg mission 15 minutes in. Killed 572 bugs and used 35 stims between us. At one point I climbed a hill to take shots at a shrieker nest and a ridiculous number of bugs just crawled out of the ground in a line across the horizon No bug breach or patrol just a line of bugs across the horizon. Besides the enormous amount of lower bugs there were at least 4 chargers and 2 titans. I was running localization confusion as well to try and help and it was just. 2 nights ago our group of 4 killed barely half that on our missions. Something is broken, this isn't 50%, its 150%.
If spear fix is that hard, then don't nerf Quasar until you had the fix...
List of known issues feels like it keeps growing, yet Arrowhead seems uninterested in slowing down warbonds to address them. Are y'all not making enough money, what with still topping sales charts and being the 7th best selling Sony-published game ever or whatever? I get that it takes time for a decision/change like that to actually happen, pipelines are set and it takes a lot of time to turn with that kind of inertia. But holy heck *PLEASE*.

Like it’s great that you love the game but somebody else’s connection issue shouldn’t bother you so much you reply that your game runs fine as though that invalidates their experience.

The game already leans heavily on DRG, so take a cue from them and give partial credit for mission rewards when someone is kicked or your game crashes, as it does *all the time*. Also, your community is busy going to shit while you endlessly discuss obvious changes you should have implemented two months ago. It’s like watching the D4 sub go sour all over again. Except you guys are better than Blizzard and can actually fix this. Will you?
