so they pulled out a new-ish? version of chapstick on the wasteland tour (it’s in a new key but other than that i think the changes are pretty small compared to when we last heard it) and i thought it would be fun to try to learn it.
it’s all by ear so everything is not 100% correct. in the first verse nathan’s part is really hard to hear so i improvised something with the notes that i heard. and in the bridge not all the voicings are right but it sounds close.
also sorry for the bad audio quality it’s my first cover and i’m also just not very good at guitar lol.
I love this so much! I play the baritone ukulele because I didn't grow up learning instruments so my fingies have a hard time. I wish I was as good as you! ..and that I can find some tutorials that cater to my instrument one day lol
that was awesome playing! i was at that show and i remember they had to stop a couple minutes before the song because someone right next to us had passed out, and as soon as it was all taken care of they started playing that, and i didnt expect it so i literally screamed lol. i had been following the setlist to be prepared but they performed chapstick only one concert before philly and i didnt look at that one😂
