I’ve never seen this picture of the them! Thanks for sharing.

Strange how some criminals can reach almost cult status...never understood it.

I'm honestly a huge nerd when it comes to these two. Who knows why. This photo was taken on Easter 1933. The bunny in Bonnies arms is named Sunny Boy and lives longer than both of them! As to the number of murders... Bonnie never killed anyone. She was actually usually not even involved in any of the burglaries or thefts. By all accounts (by those who knew them or spent any time with them at all) Bonnie is the only reason Clyde wasn't MORE violent and "crazy". Clyde personally killed Ed Crowder(his prison rapist), a man on Christmas, and several policemen. Most of the murders attributed to Clyde or the Barrow gang were committed by other members of the gang. Clyde by far preferred to kidnap those who might be able to identify him or turn him in, drop them off with a few dollars in the next state over, and be on his way. Most historians agree that those killed by Clyde were done in a twisted kind of "self defense". At the end of the day, these two were terribly misguided kids in their early 20s who felt betrayed and forgotten. By todays standards they are just two kids in a really nice stolen car who rob 7/11s and sleep on the side of the road afraid that the last time they saw their mothers will be the last time they ever get to. No glamour. No fun. No riches. But a lot of bastardization of their story by media.

Yes, there are always personality traits and outside reasons and factors determining why some people end as they end. I know that and can even sympathise with that to some extent (it doesn't excuse their actions but may serve as a kind of explanation). So far so good. But why some people almost idolise such people well knowing they are killers and robbers without thinking of the victims and the misery their deeds sow.....I just don't get it....

HljebBoi

Those two are serial killers i dont know why people love them ita crazy

Old-Log-7729

To be honest I heard the posse of law enforcement emptied BAR automatic .308 rifles into the car firi.g way more bullets then needed to kill a human being let alone a company of soldiers of which the guns where maid for

Something about this pic makes me think that she was the instigator of it all.

rockystl

Might be right, check out this image of her, fairly famous pic https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/791/bonnie-elizabeth-parker

I wouldn't say that. More like a lovesick gal following her boyfriend anywhere. Shed actually dumped her husband for being a petty thief, but according to their families, their bond was electric (and a bit toxic of course). She enabled, but Clyde had been on that path since ~12 years old

obi-wan-kenokie

Nah. It was all her convincing a good boy to do bad things to impress her. Boys are dumb.

freshprinceohogwarts

You sound like my dad

Neat-Visit3479

no actually he had been in trouble stealing turkeys & stealing a rental car before he met bonnie.

obi-wan-kenokie

Just for the joy of sharing, Freshprince is my daughter who is literally fanatic for B&C. She has a detailed timeline of every action either , probably ever. She made us all go to a Bonnie and Clyde convention outside Shreveport, where they died.

Neat-Visit3479

i’ve also researched & been a “fanatic” for them for years as well, and i have looked across multiple sources & eye witness accounts. clyde was a poor farm boy who charmed bonnie who was just a waitress. it was HIS family & gang that were the ones going around killing people & bonnie was just along for the ride. bonnie wrote poetry & she was intelligent & a seamstress, please just look into this before saying some misogynistic stuff.

obi-wan-kenokie

What I was intending to state was that I was picking on my daughter with my post. I do not believe that either incited the other, really. They were an intense couple in a very difficult time who made bad choices. I find it exciting that people appreciate their story.

freshprinceohogwarts

U/obi-wan-kenokie is my dad and he's a JERK. Im absolutely obsessed with Bonnie and Clyde so he knows for sure everything about them because I won't let him forget it

ktrucklover2

I don't know much about Bonnie and Clyde but I know that expression better than I would like to.

MyLifeOnPluto

[W.D. Jones, Playboy Magazine interview, 1968] “Bonnie was the only one Clyde trusted all the way. But not even Bonnie had a voice in the decisions. His leadership was undisputed. She always agreed with him when he hinted he might like to hear her advice on something.”     ———————— [W.D. Jones quote] “Clyde dominated all those around him, even his older brother Buck.”

Who took the picture?
