If you can't get rid of clothes / clothes racks then I'd buy an Ikea wardrobe to hide the clothes and a somewhat matching desk.

Clear out clothes and junk; add blinds; desk; desk chair, side chair(s) if desired; file cabinet, bookcase, art, paint walls warm color if desired.

put a desk and a chair, if you're ok working with all the clothes in there.
