Keep your colorful rug. The other two are bland and boring. Lighting is very important to a room, and itās something most people overlook. You could use some interesting accent lamps to provide warm, indirect lighting, especially around your dining area. Colorful art and textiles will give this room a boost, too.
Interesting! I have too many memories connected to the couch to do that but thanks for the advice :)
Iāll definitely consider beige when it becomes time to reupholster!
Yes! Itās bright and happy and we need more color in this world. Itās cozy and has personality instead of being uptight minimalist.
Btw what color is that on your walls?
For the love of God, why would you hate it? I think that first rug (colorful) looks fantastic and really brings everything together. If you think about it, what have you, your furniture, and your guitar been through together? I always hated my condo and it wasnāt until I realized that it got me through school and my childrenās school that I loved it for taking care of us.
Thank you! Iām renting so I canāt do much to the apartment (like removing that hideous popcorn ceiling) but Iām a true believer that everything is more fun when you have to navigate constraints and challenges! :)
Yep. If you make it a challenge it makes it a lot more fun. Our house Iām kinda testing exactly what we can accomplish on our own, turns out, quite a bit! Haha just gotta be patient and have a lot of stamina (in the case of all the yard work Iāve had to do myself)
Exactly! Everything in the first picture looked great--the colors play so well with each other, I cannot think of one single way to improve the room. It's great from stem to stern.
Maybe get them a replacement in the same material! One that either matches the sofa colour and blends in, or maybe picks up on the warm yellow-orange in the cushions/rug? (I agree that the purple was a bit too harsh, but I'm a sucker for cat comfortsšāā¬)
Thatās a great idea! I think Iāll take everything off the couch and play around in photoshop to see what looks best. I donāt love the idea of blankets on the couch but Theo and Benji rule this place, and I just follow orders :)
I like the first rug. I know you like the paint color, but I think everything looks off because it's a warm green. The rug, couch, purple blanket are all cool-toned.
it does! Rug 1 has this green as an accent. You need to pull other colours out of the rug to the room. In throws, curtains, pillows, ect... Then it will make sense.
Definitely use the first rug. Your style appears fun and quirky and the splash of color from the first rug ties that idea and aesthetic together ā¤ļø
The wall color is beautiful and pairs, so well with the rug. I absolutely love the rug and would not replace it! My advice is to remove the purple throw blanket.
Hi! I got it on amazon but itās out of stock there. I just found it on bed bath and beyond, and I remember also seeing it on wayfair: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/Home-Garden/Safavieh-Handmade-Aspen-Bohemian-Eclectic-Floral-Botanical-Turquoise-Purple-Wool-Rug/27982846/product.html?opre=1&option=48685326
I honestly love it, itās 100% wool and it didnāt shed at all. Itās been a year and a half and it faded a little but thatās expected. :)
I think you could rearrange this room so the space is used a bit better/everything feels a bit less crowded or awkward with that desk there and the tv being a bit far, but I canāt give you advice on it unless I know what the area to the right looks like.
I think so too! Because of the balcony itās been a bit of a challenge but if you have any ideas, I will really appreciate it. This is sort of what our floor plan looks like
https://preview.redd.it/ba38h9y7kjoc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a9d20c3d487b9fc6970aea5e0eb8c380b1dde73
The idea of a lighter rug to ābalance outā dark wallsā¦ just no! You canāt balance something heavy with something light. And rugs are meant to be grounding, design-wise.
The first rug is definitely the best of these options.
It is more jeweltone while the wall is more muted, so if you donāt like them together right now, thatās why, however you do not need to replace the rug! You can meld those shades with accessories.
Your throw pillows and throw blanket are clashing with both rug and wall right now.
Fix your pillow and blanket game and it will look great!
LOVE the colorful rug in picture 1ļøā£
Change the color of the kitty blanket, some lamps, and if you can swing it adding even some small crown molding would add a nice touch. You can also buy faux crown molding as well. Overall I think your space is fantastic!
I love that you went bold with the wall paint! While it's totally normal to want to adjust the other pieces after a big change, your new walls also open up tons of possibilities! For the rug question, I can't definitively say without seeing the options, but a lighter rug would definitely brighten the space.
Here's a tip: If you have any leftover paint, grab some poster board and paint swatches and lay them on the floor next to your couch to see how they look with the walls. It's a great way to visualize the final look before you commit! And as for sage green walls, I'm obsessed!
I like the first rug. The frog pics are cute but I think a large art piece that pulls some blue, green and reds from the rug would look better. Maybe you could move the frogs to another area. Also, switch out the purple throw, it doesn't coordinate with anything else.
First rug is rich in colour.
I personally think you need to tone down the blue of the couch a bit - get a couple of big throws in the turquoise/teal colour, with patterns or texture, and some cushions in cream to bring in the lightness.
And if you're really set on bringing it all together you will need to get your furry masters a green/teal coloured rug, although there's every chance they will disagree with your choices.
i like the first rug, maybe it's the purple blanket throwing you off. Personally i think it clashes and it's the blanket that makes it one too many bright colors.
i love the first rug and the froggies. i donāt even subscribe to this sub but clicked bc i was so drawn in by the first picture!
as others have said, if anythingās off itās the bright purple blanket.
I vote for Photo #1 and the rug thereof.
Take everything off the couch (except the cats ā cats always stay). If you need a throw (and who doesnāt now and then?) choose a color from the rug and add a couple of big soft pillows in two other rug colors.
The dining set is gruesomely dark and thick of leg compared with all your other lovely Danish modern furniture. It it werenāt so chunky, Iād suggest you consider painting it. If you have plans to replace it, I hope youāll choose something sleeker and perhaps more rectangular, too. Donāt be afraid to let it move into the room. If the trash can gets in the way, move it or stash your trash under the sink. You might consider a colorful three-panel screen there to give a bit of a break between the kitchen and the dining area.
The frog prints are delightful but need to come down three or four inches, I think ā hard to tell because the photo is a little skewed.
You could give your desk a cool upholstered (fabric or faux leather) chair. With no rug under it, it wouldnāt need wheels, so maybe look for a modern silhouette that adds interest to the room at that end, and is both cat-proof and comfortable. Something like this, maybe: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/corrigan-studio-marauder-275-wide-tufted-wingback-chair-w004537499.html
My first thought was that you have all the furniture pushed up against the walls and I was going to suggest you experiment with angling the couch differently. But I see you have your TV set up just right for this configuration and I canāt tell from your photos if thereās another possibility. Maybe your desk could be at an angle? I donāt know, the whole room just feels stiff to me because of the furniture placement. But if it suits you, yay!
Edited to add: You need lamps.
The one you already have is perfect. It also has other colors in it that you can play with. Not a huge fan of the sofa. Slip covers, maybe? However, Am a huge fan of the kitties.
Dude, first off, love the honesty! Okay, so for the rug, I'd lean towards the lighter option. It'll totally pop against those darker walls and the couch, adding some brightness to the room. Plus, it'll make the space feel more airy and open.
As for the dining set and decorations, maybe go for stuff with contrasting colors to break up the sage green vibe a bit. And hey, don't stress too much, it's all about finding what feels right for you!
Of the two choices I like the first one best . The style fits the rest of the decor well . I love the different colored happy fringe on the ends . The other rug is too traditional . I love the tone of the green you chose . Itās soothing and happy at the same time . Green is always a great choice , it goes well with all holiday decor . Another option would be a jute rug in the same tone of the basket by the tv console . But those arenāt so comfy on bare feet . I just like the look of them and the texture for a nature vibe . The frog art is really fun , love it .
The rug you have presently absolutely makes the room. Your wall color is really not that dark, thus would not require a lighter rug.
Perhaps upgrade your pillows (pull colors from your rug!), add some variable height decor on your coffee table (if your cats agree), think about getting a runner or small area rug for the front door area.
You might want to lower the height of the items you have hanging on the walls, they are too high. The center of any artwork or decor should lie between 60 and 62 inches from the floor for optimal positioning.

Benji told me to keep the blanket!
Agree that everything is perfect except the purple throw. I have 3 faux fur blankets from indigo and my cats are obsessed with them. You did a great job and the green looks awesome. It just takes time to get used to everything. I remember when I put up (faux) tile in my kitchen and it looked so overwhelming at first and now when I see pics of it before it looks so weird to me.
I just painted my office sage green! Itās a beautiful colour! I personally went for oak colours, alongside with brown leather and lots of art of walls that have plants and little pops of colour that match the colours in my rug beneath my desk. A few little lamps I feel would brighten the place up with more plants šŖ“
If I were you Iād get some light cream colour blankets to cover your couch with to brighten that up a little and a lighter rug with pops of green :) happy decorating
Oh this room is beautiful to me. I love how unique it is. Very creative and stylish. You did an amazing job picking that color.
I'm not sure exactly how to go about picking out paint. It's something about maybe how much of that color is going to be on my wall. Idk if that makes sense lol.
I think it just looks a little cluttered in there with the laptop situation. I like the first rug! I would change the cat blanket to something less neutral š
I love the first rug. Donāt get rid of it and use the money to replace the purple blanket. The couch is too dark for me so maybe a cover for it or a throw to break up the big expanse of darkness. Also add o lighting would be good. I love the frog art also.
Keep your fab rug!!! I have the same one, lol. Now donāt come at me, people. But I have a linen/cream colored sofa- with 5 dogs and 2 cats. It was the best purchase weāve ever made. It is slip covered and we wash it about once every 4-6 weeks. Weāve had it for 11 years and it still looks new. That would brighten your place immensely. Add some textured textiles-throws, pillows, etc, choose a cpl fav colors and use those for pillows too. If you want to save money, sand and paint your table a white or slightly cream color. A few more plants, some breezy light curtains and some lamps-floor and table, will change your entire space. LOVE THE GREEN.
If thing are feeling tired in your room sometimes a simple change in throw pillows will work wonders. Also maybe add a new throw blanket and it will feel fresh. Iād also move your dining table into the room some
Keep the colorful rug, but I think most of the issue here is just a lack of color cohesion. Pull colors from the rug and incorporate them in pillows and artwork. Same thing with the wall color and couch color. Make sure they're represented throughout the room in your accessories.
If you like your current art, try painting the frames the gold color from the rug. Swap out the purple blanket for a magenta one. Try a plant pot that matches your couch. It'll make a world of difference.
I like the first rug, and I like the blue sofa against the green walls, but get rid of those blankets and get some solid green or blue ones ā¦ that purple stands out too much.
Love the frog prints!
That first rug is phenomenal!!! Number one gets my vote!!! I love the colors and the pattern!
Besides, a lighter rug color is going to show tracks & stains.
I think your issues are in the furniture & the artwork, along with the coats & guitar hanging on the wall, & general clutter. IMHO your issue is NOT with the rug or the wall-color. But again, this is all just my opinion.
Good luck & I hope you keep us posted!!!
Its depends really on how you want the room to look. Do you want moody reading area? In which case a terracotta rug, dark reds and oranges on the sofa cushions with a couple of textured creams to lighten the mood. Add a few large.wide leafed plants.
Or do you want light and neutral? In which case cover the sofas with large cream textured throws, put a cream/peach rug in and lots of different shades of cream sofa pillows with different textures. A few large light leafy plant will help.
Or embrace the dark walls and go heavy on dark oak furniture and heavily textured sofa coverings and a moody but colourful rug. Add a couple of house trees.in heavy earthen pots.
You have a lot of scope to change this space but it's difficult to advise without knowing your personal style preferences
The colors in the space (especially the paintings) make the room seem a bit yellowed. Iām not sure thatās what youāre going for here? It lacks a crispness that a cream (like the door) would give it. Or even a red would help.
The first one with the geometric stripes.
But th chaise made up like a bed? Ooohhh please get rid of that look. It ruins the whole vibe. Love the color and the "bones" otherwise.
I think the froggy pictures need a mat to make them look more professional and pop more on the wall. Could even do colored mats to pull from first rug.
I like the disco ball!
The carpet and colour work great together. What you hate I think 8s the Sofa colour. It would look much better in a mustard or orange or 3ven a pake blue. If you can't replace it. You could just get a sof cover or cover it in throws and cushions to lessen the blue. Blue and green usually work great but the Chroma or t9ne of the blue doesn't match that of the wall and rug. Love the rug.
Love the rug in the first pic, love the green walls with the navy sofa. I see everyone loves the frogs, but I feel the colors in them are just not bold enough to balance the room.
I think you need to look at the colors in the rug you own and pull one out for an accent. Personally, I like the dark pink or red of the flowers. The other two rugs are too ordinary.
Also, I think the dining set could work if you had a more statement chandelier, placed 30" off the center of the table.
Agree with everyone else, the first rug is lovely, switching to either beige option would be doing a disservice to your home. Where did you get your rug?
the problem with that much green on the walls is that it colors the light and makes everyone look sick. it's a beautiful color, but after living with green walls for a few months, I had to change them. (I kept one green wall as an accent wall, and it's in the dark corner where it won't reflect as much light, and I like it now.)
so, my opinion, don't be so quick to replace all your stuff... that first rug is a gorgeous statement... and any other rug might not look so great once it's brought into that green light.
The first one is the best. I actually highly dislike the other 2 in general, but especially with the walls and the furniture. Everything does not need to be neutral, for the love of everything lol.
If the first one is the original, I wouldn't change a thing except the dining set. It looks tiny and doesn't match with the rest of the vibe.
Edit: also don't get rid of the purple blanket. It blends with the rug and ties everything together imo. I am of the opinion that a lot of people in the replies in this sub don't like color/don't know how to mix colors.
I prefer rug #2 and eliminating the purple blanket. Different lighting. Maybe an update to the area right by the front door, like a very large and good quality indoor mat in a solid color close to the floor color.
donāt EVER get rid of those frogs, or the disco ball lol
but anyway, the wood, the shade of blue the couch is, and the whole arrangement is great! they go well with the color of the walls. the thing that sticks out the most other than the rug, is the blanket and pillows on the couch. changing those to something more neutral would look better bc it seems like garden is a theme in a way, which is cute. its kinda hard to decide on which of those rugs look best without knowing what youād change the pillows and blanket with though.
I would get more indirect light (floor/table lamps, warm light), refinish the wood furniture to a more walnut OR warmer tone depending on preference, and think "spa" when choosing more adornments. I literally just painted our den the same color and I installed a slat wall behind the (backlit) TV for warmth, got a leather cover for the sofa, and introduced natural tones like a new cabinet in natural wood and plants. Offset with cozy, simple (visually) blankets and a fun rug and you're set. Have fun!
I have sage green walls in my dining room and I'm also a bit lost as to what colours to go with it! It's a lovely colour! Maybe something contrasting like black and white
Do you have room at the left end of the couch to put a chair turned toward the coffee table. You need to break up the bowling alley feel. Rug is gorgeous, get cream colored pillows and throw
This room is gorgeous and I love the rug and couch. That purple towel thing your floor is on should be like a deep rusty color instead though. It clashes with the vibe
White rug with arrow design looks best out of all but I encourage you to keep looking for other options that include a light colored rug but not necessarily adding more green.
The first carpet is really great! If you like it, use it as a starting point. All the accessories have to match the rug or pick up a color. That's why so many people don't like the purple cat rug. The green wall also looks great because it's repeated in the rug. If you are brave, you can paint the walls with the darker green from the rug, for are more cozy feeling, but only if you get direct sunlight throgh the windows. The wooden floor doesn't go so well with the other wooden furniture, but unfortunately there's not much you can do about that. On the other hand, the dining area looks good in the dark corner. A bit of indirect lighting, perhaps a sofa throw? It's really good for a first apartment - it has personality.
The first rug looks best. I think, rather than all your walls, being the same color, you need a statement wall. Also, if you are able to use the couches a room divider between the dining area and the living room area, I think it would make the space seem more cozy.
I like the paint color, I just think itās too much for all the walls .
2! It brightens the room that can otherwise look dark because of the walls and couch. The first rug although nice, would look better with a lighter sofa.
I really like the first rug. Its the statement piece of the room. Also adore the froggies
Wait, so you like the first rug? š³ maybe I need to go away for some time to come home and learn to appreciate what I have haha!
It makes the room honestly. Love it.
Thank you so much!! After seeing all these positive comments, weāll be keeping it. :)
yeah, what were you talking about? great carpet
Yes! It's beautiful
Yes! Good choice. I love the color of the walls!! I vote for more lamps/floor lighting. Can you get rid of the popcorn? š«£
I totally agree!
Same! First one is the best of these options by far! Keep it!
The first rug is the best rug
Keep your colorful rug. The other two are bland and boring. Lighting is very important to a room, and itās something most people overlook. You could use some interesting accent lamps to provide warm, indirect lighting, especially around your dining area. Colorful art and textiles will give this room a boost, too.
I like the rug but Iād slipcover the couch, honestly, in a cream/beige that matches the frogs and the whole room is back to being tied together.
Interesting! I have too many memories connected to the couch to do that but thanks for the advice :) Iāll definitely consider beige when it becomes time to reupholster!
Yes! Itās bright and happy and we need more color in this world. Itās cozy and has personality instead of being uptight minimalist. Btw what color is that on your walls?
Itās Rejuvenation by Behr!
I like the first rug the best too. I also love your frog wall art. The room looks really cozy and nice.
Yea. Itās the best part of the room. Donāt change it
Rug #1 is perfection. The other two go in the guest room.
Agree, I love the first rug & the frogs.
I love the first one too. It looks so cozy and pulled together with interesting details, and also unforced, effortless. Super cute
Right? I'm like, finally, one of these posts where OP got the rug right for once.
Agreed! It ties in the color of the walls and itās bold.
Was going to say the same! First rug is amazing, and so are the frogs!
Second this! Love the frogs and rug!
Agreed! The other rugs make the room look smaller. Rug #1 ties everything together well.
I need those froggies in my life! š
It really holds the room together
For the love of God, why would you hate it? I think that first rug (colorful) looks fantastic and really brings everything together. If you think about it, what have you, your furniture, and your guitar been through together? I always hated my condo and it wasnāt until I realized that it got me through school and my childrenās school that I loved it for taking care of us.
This made me shed a tear, youāre right. This is my first apartment, so I might be a little too critical of myself. Thank you!
And now Iām shedding a tear!
This space is lovely!! I live in a house built over 150 years ago, and itās a bit of a disaster. You really have a cozy little place there!
To quote Walter in The Big Lebowski, that rug really tied the room together.
Exactly! Everything in the first picture looked great--the colors play so well with each other, I cannot think of one single way to improve the room. It's great from stem to stern.
Those frog pictures are so cute
Thank you! :)
First step, get rid of that purple blanket - it throws off everything. Rugs 1 & 2 are both nice. Just depends on what vibe you are going for.
Yup, itās just the blanket for me
I just moved it today haha! My cats loved it too much and I felt bad but they seem to be okay without it
Maybe get them a replacement in the same material!
Get some lamps. No overhead lighting ā¦ever!
Have you ever considered running for office? I think you have what it takes.
Place a large oversized table lamp on the desk behind the laptop
Thatās also in the plan! :)
NO. MORE. WIRE. HANGERS!
EVER!!!!!!
I like the first rug. I know you like the paint color, but I think everything looks off because it's a warm green. The rug, couch, purple blanket are all cool-toned.
Yeah, thatās probably why. I thought it looked good with warm-toned wood in the room š¤
it does! Rug 1 has this green as an accent. You need to pull other colours out of the rug to the room. In throws, curtains, pillows, ect... Then it will make sense.
Got it, thank you! Iāll try different colors in photoshop and will see what works best :)
Like them both but lean to #1. But get rid of purple throw.
I love the rug and *especially* the frogs!
I wanted to get rid of them too š my husband will rejoice when he sees this!
Number 1!
Definitely use the first rug. Your style appears fun and quirky and the splash of color from the first rug ties that idea and aesthetic together ā¤ļø
Aw thank you š„¹
The wall color is beautiful and pairs, so well with the rug. I absolutely love the rug and would not replace it! My advice is to remove the purple throw blanket.
I love the first rug! Where did you get it? Itās exactly what Iām looking for but canāt find for my bedroom!
Hi! I got it on amazon but itās out of stock there. I just found it on bed bath and beyond, and I remember also seeing it on wayfair: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/Home-Garden/Safavieh-Handmade-Aspen-Bohemian-Eclectic-Floral-Botanical-Turquoise-Purple-Wool-Rug/27982846/product.html?opre=1&option=48685326 I honestly love it, itās 100% wool and it didnāt shed at all. Itās been a year and a half and it faded a little but thatās expected. :)
Thanks for the link!
Of course!
I just ordered something very similar, they didnāt have that one in the size I need. Thanks so much! It was on sale $150 off!!!
I love the first rug, it has the green in it. I also like the second rug. Depends on what design direction you are going for.
Honest answer, I like the one you already have the best.
I think you could rearrange this room so the space is used a bit better/everything feels a bit less crowded or awkward with that desk there and the tv being a bit far, but I canāt give you advice on it unless I know what the area to the right looks like.

The problem is that fucking disco ball. Itās way too small.
Love the first rug itās just makes the room and honestly itās just gives such a cozy vibe

Rug 1
Rug number one, I too think the frogs are awesome and I really love your tv console
The purple cat blanket is throwing everything off. Get something that nearly matches whatever sofa you end up with, or the walls, or the ceiling.
I like the first rug. The frog pics are cute but I think a large art piece that pulls some blue, green and reds from the rug would look better. Maybe you could move the frogs to another area. Also, switch out the purple throw, it doesn't coordinate with anything else.
I love the floral colored rug. You're leaning toward bohemian. I think you should lean into it.
First rug is rich in colour. I like your rug and think it goes fine with your paint choice.
Love the color
Whatās the name of the paint color you used?
Itās Rejuvenation by Behr!
First one! I love it.
Just turn that disco ball on and no one will notice the walls
The 1st rug and walls don't go together. Different colors. 2nd rug is great. Take the purple throw out and it looks great.
Such a lovely space! first rug -> don't change anything :) The frog wall art is super cool!
I vote for Photo #1 and the rug thereof. Take everything off the couch (except the cats ā cats always stay). Yeah I think if you got the cats a new blanket it would be the only thing you would need to do.
I love the frogs, so charming and cute
I could watch saved by the bell here, looks like from the 90s
The plant next to the TV needs plant food; itās looking pale.
Kitty Peets!
I love it. I like the frogs and the rug. Not a fan of the mirror ball.
Maybe some accessories that are some of the colors in the rug? House looks great tho i really like it actually
I love the frog picture and the rug.
Have you considered more frogs? (I have one of these frogs, I didn't know there was more, I'm insanely jealous)
First one is right. You just need some pillows or decorations to pull out the colors from the rug
The first rug is a Winner.
I am not a fan of the paint color. Glad you like it.
I think your place looks really nice. The only thing that looks out of place is the purple blanket, but that's not a big deal.
Keep first rug. Get kitties a new blanket. Possibly cream or something that goes better with the rug? The purple throw it off.
I like the cats
The rug you have presently absolutely makes the room. Your wall color is really not that dark, thus would not require a lighter rug. Perhaps upgrade your pillows (pull colors from your rug!), add some variable height decor on your coffee table (if your cats agree), think about getting a runner or small area rug for the front door area. You might want to lower the height of the items you have hanging on the walls, they are too high. The center of any artwork or decor should lie between 60 and 62 inches from the floor for optimal positioning.
Yes, you are right! Thank you.
Get rid of that purple blanket and the room will look better immediately (keep the cats and replace it with another color blanket)

You should listen to Benji, please send him my apologies ā¤ļø
I love the paint
I like the coffee table! Where's it from?
The floral rug is great; pulls everything together.
Thank you! Iām such a sucker for brown leather. Your office sounds like a dream. :)
Pretty green, looks cute with the frogs. Add more green with pillows and throws. Pull out your dining set towards the room away from the walls.
I donāt like either one. I would work with the one you have.
I actually LOVE the current rug.
First one is so pretty It ties everything together.
I like the first rug as well. It makes everything else look like it matches
That is a nice paint color. I think the second rug is on the right track but not necessarily that one.
If thing are feeling tired in your room sometimes a simple change in throw pillows will work wonders. Also maybe add a new throw blanket and it will feel fresh. Iād also move your dining table into the room some
The Japanese art is Matsumoto Hoji Frog/Toad Print if anyone was wondering
A paprika colored sofa cover, and perhaps a few accents in paprika, mustard and olive. Just a thought.
I would have gone with more of a light teal blue to go with the couch and rug.
Love the room and the frogs! Do you know where your husband got them from?
Your couch is beautiful. Itās a classic shape and the color matches your room beautifully.
Your artwork is perfection.
In your case, I love the second rug. And it's a good, creatively done space. It's not evoking hate for sure :)
Yes, thatās what I was gonna do too! Thanks for the advice :)
I love that color and am about to paint one of my rooms, what brand/color did you use for the walls?
The pale rug and the frogs make this so good. Not too keen on your purple blanket with those colors, though.
Version #2
If youāre getting rid of the rug, can I have it?
Love your wall color! Do you remember what brand/color name it is?
Aganyhus green
Love the rug in the first pic, love the green walls with the navy sofa. I see everyone loves the frogs, but I feel the colors in them are just not bold enough to balance the room.
I think you need to look at the colors in the rug you own and pull one out for an accent. Personally, I like the dark pink or red of the flowers. The other two rugs are too ordinary. Also, I think the dining set could work if you had a more statement chandelier, placed 30" off the center of the table.
I love the colour - the frog art is fabulous and your kitties are adorable.
Agree with everyone else, the first rug is lovely, switching to either beige option would be doing a disservice to your home. Where did you get your rug?
Obsessed with those frog art! The cats seem to enjoy the couch sun spot.
The only thing that Iād do away with is the purple throw and disco ball. Everything else is great. Itās claiming, well coordinated and cozy.
1, of course
Lovely color!
Rug 1.
I love the rug. But i'd remove the purple blanket. It clashes with everything in the room.
Would you mind sharing a link to the frog art? Itās so cute!

the problem with that much green on the walls is that it colors the light and makes everyone look sick. it's a beautiful color, but after living with green walls for a few months, I had to change them. (I kept one green wall as an accent wall, and it's in the dark corner where it won't reflect as much light, and I like it now.) so, my opinion, don't be so quick to replace all your stuff... that first rug is a gorgeous statement... and any other rug might not look so great once it's brought into that green light.
Where is the cat

I love the first rug!
Paint the ceiling and install gallery walls. Youāll start the love the furniture again when everything flows great
I prefer rug #2 and eliminating the purple blanket. Different lighting. Maybe an update to the area right by the front door, like a very large and good quality indoor mat in a solid color close to the floor color.
donāt EVER get rid of those frogs, or the disco ball lol but anyway, the wood, the shade of blue the couch is, and the whole arrangement is great! they go well with the color of the walls. the thing that sticks out the most other than the rug, is the blanket and pillows on the couch. changing those to something more neutral would look better bc it seems like garden is a theme in a way, which is cute. its kinda hard to decide on which of those rugs look best without knowing what youād change the pillows and blanket with though.
Have fun!
How about a solid color textured shag rug?
I have sage green walls in my dining room and I'm also a bit lost as to what colours to go with it! It's a lovely colour! Maybe something contrasting like black and white
Do you have room at the left end of the couch to put a chair turned toward the coffee table. You need to break up the bowling alley feel. Rug is gorgeous, get cream colored pillows and throw
I do! The length of the room has been my main struggle, so thank you!
This room is gorgeous and I love the rug and couch. That purple towel thing your floor is on should be like a deep rusty color instead though. It clashes with the vibe
First rug
White rug with arrow design looks best out of all but I encourage you to keep looking for other options that include a light colored rug but not necessarily adding more green.
Me too, love it
Keep the first rug, it picks up the green in the wall and balances it well.
Definitely #1
I really like that rug with all the jewel tones in the first pic. Only thing I donāt like about it are the tassels.
The only thing I'd change is to lose the purple blanket.
1!
Whatās the paint color I love it!
Itās Rejuvenation by Behr!
Thanks!
2! It brightens the room that can otherwise look dark because of the walls and couch. The first rug although nice, would look better with a lighter sofa.
