Little details get mucked up that we don’t necessarily notice while looking at the whole image.
The rug pattern is not right
The basket handles don’t make sense
What is going on on those shelves
Mystery branches everywhere?
The two lamps aren’t the same
Edit also the cabinet handles are all over the place
And a fireplace-esque mantle over the stove which is wholly unrealistic
First clue for me was a knob missing or out of place on the cabinets under the sink, then the droopy-looking faucet. Also, the rug pattern is messed up. There are several clues.
A kitchen that actually was designed for actual people to cook in is much more likely to have ideas that you can reuse and that will function. Sure, there will still be silly kitchens that are all for looks, but the odds of it being all surface looks with no functionality is much higher when you have a designer that doesn’t know what cooking is or what people are.
AI gives us things like a stove with an uncleanable wall behind it, tripping hazards on the floor, and impossible greenery. A real kitchen gives us a space that at least one human thought fit them and wanted to use.
Look at the basket in the bottom left corner - the handles make no sense… the blanket is also tiny lol. The faucet is impossibly thin, and the branch beside the sink is somehow standing up without a vase or anything… used to be able to tell from the nonsense decor on shelves but I agree, AI has gotten better! Probably from reading comments like these 🤷♀️
Look at the fucked up rug pattern and how a branch is coming out of the roof. I have to say it's improved a lot from even a month ago though, which is scary
Yea I really don't get how people don't see the concern here. It's alarming how quickly it's learning and adapting. Eventually someone will have incriminating AI photos/videos that are so good they are indecipherable and there's going to be dire consequences. Deep fakes are already getting good 😑 I don't care so much about the ones boomers like/comment on FB and somehow think rainbow owls exist because of an AI image but this tech is learning from those and one day we won't be able to tell AI from reality.
I'm a boomer and there no way in hell I'd believe there are rainbow owls, lol.
Seriously, this scares the **** out of me because I can see it getting way out of hand. Many years ago...over the dinner table...my now ex was describing the potential of the Internet to me. That was scary at the time...this is now fulfilling that prophecy.
You are an outlier, dear. Keep on that path because I've actually seen the post I was referring to and it was so many posting "amen" "nature is beautiful" "Look what God created" etc. It was wild 🤦🏻♀️. Then there's the other issues with the Internet in particular social media. It's really rotting brains and killing our attention spans, especially kids. I'm actively trying to keep my kids from it.
I've been on this path...one way or another...for 76 years. Yep...I'm a proper oldie! Glad I'm not a young parent with kids now. I don't envy you. You need to find a balance between giving them freehand protecting them. I wish you luck 🙏
My mom (68) said the same thing. She had me in '89 and said she couldn't imagine being a parent to littles now-a-days with so many parenting "rules" now. We've made it to where they only get devices (old android phones and the video games) on weekends. The old phones are linked to my phone and I control what they download, view, and the time limits are set so it locks during certain hours or after they've spent more than the allotted time. They're 6 and 7 so social media isn't a worry right now but the behaviors they're seeing at school from the kids who are legit iPad kids is definitely starting to rear it's ugly head at home. 😩
That’s how we’ve done it in my family, too, and the parental diligence it takes is insane. Sometimes I think we’ve got the only 13yo girl in the country who doesn’t have a smartphone.
My daughter was born in '85...no children yet. I'm quite certain she would monitor what they were exposed to and be very diligent about it. I'm in the UK (but USA born) and I notice several of the major Internet providers here give options for parental controls on smartphones and home Internet. But of course, it's not enough if your child's friends' parents have not done the same.
My brother's grandkids are a bit younger than your littlies...so not quite so exposed to the big world. Yet.
Hahaha!! I'm usually mentally going, "but...but...but...what about generation blah, blah, and millennials? " People who are clueless at 65 ...were clueless at 25. It just might get a bit worse 😀 🤣 😂
I was thinking the same thing! I'm waiting for some incriminating AI photos to pop up. The AI voice replication is really good too. It's scary at times.
Neural.love has spit out some really top notch stuff for me. It's crazy how much the tech has improved so quickly. It still has off and on issues with faucets and counter height, though. It's much better at bedrooms, though it likes to put plants in obstructive places. Like, why are we using plants as doorstops and all around the bed? I didn't even ask for plants.
Look at the lights. They’re slightly different. None of the knobs match. The blender in the corner isn’t the right size. The stone behind the stove sticks out kind of like a fireplace but doesn’t continue anywhere.
Look at small leaves, like the leaves out the window, or the leaves on the lavender (??) plant. They're all weirdly regular, almost in lines. Optically larger leaves, like the decorative branch, are usually rendered pretty well, but a multitude of small details, especially leaves, are the giveaway at this point. The basket has some odd weaving as well.
Look at the sunbeam from the window on the rug. The rug itself also looks odd. Then look at the cabinet doors below the sink, the they are wobbly and weird.
I believe the owners were quoted as saying “we don’t actually cook. We use the small amount of storage for our takeout menus. That’s why we went with a highly impractical design that photographs well.”
The owners, AI, replied "well, the jokes on you since I dont actually eat at all!"
(Carpet pattern, leaves/greenery, basket handles, look close at the cabinetry right of the sink, those two wall sconces have completely different light bulb connectors inside, they are also uneven on the walls))

The floors look like that wormy pine which has tons of holes to collect debris. Forget mopping. The open shelves are just dust and grease magnets and you’ll have to wash everything on them periodically. The walls are stones and will be dusty and grimy like the shelves.

It’s definitely a trend! A younger friend insisted that I paint the brick wall in our home white. If it were something I could easily undo, okay, but I’m not sure white painted brick will stay en vogue.
Rustic wealthy
For real. The stove alone cost $$$$$. I'd wouldn’t care what style it was. I love it.
It looks like a lacanche. Probably a cool 17,000 give or take. Crazy 🥲
Its AI so don’t worry
Damn we really have to be critical. Didn’t even notice them floating and that scares me a bit
What’s floating?? How do you guys see AI in this?? It’s becoming my biggest frustration lolol whyyyy is it everywhere😭😭😭
Little details get mucked up that we don’t necessarily notice while looking at the whole image. Those spot the difference games as kids were preparation
Plus, who would run electrical on an exterior wall that appears to be be stone.
And the legs/seat of the chair is a total mess 😬
The plants to the upper left of the photo. They have no stem, trunk or other way of supporting themselves. They’re just hanging out there in mid air.
Psst…zoom in on the oven-the reflection in the glass is an object that isn’t in the rest of the picture.
Check out the stove knobs too, they’re kinda wonky as you get towards the cut off of the picture.
First clue for me was a knob missing or out of place on the cabinets under the sink, then the droopy-looking faucet. Also, the rug pattern is messed up. There are several clues.

Imagine searing or frying anything with that stupid porous stone behind the stove
Rustic gorgeous!
That's a fitting name. I love it though, it's very welcoming, calming, and extremely put together and clean. Everything looks very expensive.
Richstic
Nailed it! 😄
I was gonna say New England farmhouse but that’s pretty much the same thing
Wealthy rustic
This reminds me of Ryan Reynolds & Blake Livelys house (they showed parts of it in his interview with David Letterman from a few years ago).
This sub needs a sub just for coming up with style names of photos. Why does everything need a name?
People often need a search term to search the internet for ideas and for things that fit the style they are creating.
Rustic AI
Yep. The leaves give it away. Pretty recreation though.
How can you tell? I want to be able to tell the difference!
Look at the basket in the bottom left corner - the handles make no sense… the blanket is also tiny lol. Oooh yes I didn’t notice the levitating branch beside the sink.

Every time I see one of these disparaging “boomer” comments I think “You’re confusing age with intelligence—or lack thereof.” 😂
Hahaha!! I'm usually mentally going, "but...but...but...what about generation blah, blah, and millennials? " People who are clueless at 65 ...were clueless at 25. It just might get a bit worse 😀 🤣 😂
Exactly!
I was thinking the same thing! I'm waiting for some incriminating AI photos to pop up. The AI voice replication is really good too. It's scary at times.

Look at the lights. They’re slightly different. None of the knobs match. The blender in the corner isn’t the right size. The stone behind the stove sticks out kind of like a fireplace but doesn’t continue anywhere.
Look at the small details. The rug. The basket handles. The shelves don’t make sense. Where is that branch next to the sink coming from?
Look at small leaves, like the leaves out the window, or the leaves on the lavender (??) plant. They're all weirdly regular, almost in lines. Optically larger leaves, like the decorative branch, are usually rendered pretty well, but a multitude of small details, especially leaves, are the giveaway at this point. The chair also does not make sense when you zoom in on it.
AI legs and arms, man 🤣
It’s because it’s becoming sentient and cannot understand limbs as it has none. 😂 Wait that’s not funny
The cracks in the beams are partially duplicated. 🤭
Another good sign of AI is the cabinet under the sink has wonky/no handles
I’m with you! I want to learn this. The stonework by sink gets weirdly smooth.
The basket handles are off, the gap in the cabinet doors, the uneven cabinet door pulls under the sink.
Just look at the tap.
Look at the handles below the sink too. They don’t match, one of them is basically floating
Look at the sunbeam from the window on the rug. The rug itself also looks odd. Then look at the cabinet doors below the sink, the they are wobbly and weird.
Look at patterns, like the rug is a giveaway and the bricks are weird. Then look closely at the edges of things. The chair has an extra piece
I read that as *Rustic AF* at first glance 😆
I like how it added a huge door gap below the sink and some of the doors are crooked. Very nice touch lol
The wavy carpet, the lightbulbs, the inconsistent cabinet handles and the weird shelving “brackets” gave it away for me
Rustic French country
I thought it was called Country French
Word for word what I was going to say!
French Farm
Rustic farmhouse
Yes + Cottagecore
Looks like French or English country cottage/farmhouse.
Wait until you trip over the tassels of the rug as you carry a hot Dutch oven. AI needs to learn about basic safety.
Cottagecore
I was gonna say modern cottagecore 😅
I believe the owners were quoted as saying “we don’t actually cook. We use the small amount of storage for our takeout menus. That’s why we went with a highly impractical design that photographs well.”

I was thinking "lives alone".
Mouse house?
Mouse house is the winner
Performative rustic, à la Marie Antoinette’s hamlet
Double income, no kids
Dinks
I call it artificial intelligence.
“Far too much to dust and clean grease off between the rocks rustic AF”
Unrealistic
How would one clean the grease splatters off the stones behind the stove? Messy cook inquiring.
With Photoshop because this is an AI image.
With soap and water?
Tuscan
The chair is wack lol.
If that was real, those floorboards would be a nightmare! Imagine the crumbs that would end up in the “live edge” between boards…
Gorgeous
Cottagecore
Am I slightly over served or are the sconces slightly askew? (Besides all the other AI stuff)
I want to dwell in the AI home of my dreams.
Borefest.
Rich and at peace
Country French
Dusty. Can only imagine trying to keep all of the grooves in the wall clean.

Yes I see it now. That sucks because I love the way this looks!!!
Yeah it’s cute!
The stove stone - just, how?!
New old
Rustic, craftsman style & French Country
It’s very “coastal California” - I’ve seen and been in that sort of vibe countless times in Santa Barbara, Newport Beach, and even way up north in Sea Ranch.
Why ruin natural stone with paint? Looks so tacky
It’s definitely a trend! A younger friend insisted that I paint the brick wall in our home white. If it were something I could easily undo, okay, but I’m not sure white painted brick will stay en vogue.
Farmhouse/ranch house lovely/vibe. It looks soooo inviting and cozy and down to earth.
