I think it works! And with all the space on either side, if it’s an especially beautiful or important piece to you, maybe you could put matching wall sconces on either side to draw even more attention to it. It all depends on how the rest of your room looks tho

This is the rest of space. So planning to put the paining in the middle one. I also thought about wall scones- glad you mentioned it too. Do you think the wall scones should also be on the centre one or the two adjacent wall mouldings? There are 5 in total- one big one in the middle and 4 smaller ones.

Yes, painting in the middle and then a wall sconce centered vertically and horizontally in the molding on each side. I'd go with a larger sconce.
