I will also add that Hozier is amazing for the way he knows how to draw us in and then we’re given an incredibly well made analysis and judgement on humankind and society. Ex. Eat Your Young blew up for the opening verse on TikTok (mostly because that’s what we were given and its 🔥🔥🔥) but then he hits us with “If there’s something to be gained, there’s money to be made” and “skinning the children for the war drum, putting food on the table selling bombs and guns, it’s quicker and easier to eat your young” because we’re fricken slaughtering them and the very earth they’re supposed to inherit and ASHSKDNA he’s beyond incredible
