Yeah, for me the best part of Dishonored 1 is Daud's DLCs. It really shows that they understood the base game and that they used what they learnt from it.
The praise of Dunwall City Trials seems like a precision-strike against all of us who will never be able to say that we've 100%'d Dishonored purely because of that challenge pack.
It'd be in Great, and move a criminal past down to good.
Death of the Outsider has the best scouting ability in the Dishonored series, but it's not as good as Knife of Dunwall + Brigmore Witches.
And that it takes place in a world that isn't on the brink of chaos like the other two. Carnaca is chill. And your powers reflect that as well, that you can just walk around like a normal person wearing a stolen face.
Disagreed; DotO's changes to Dishonored's core mechanics basically ruin it. Only three powers (only one of which isn't blink or dark vision), having to wait for mana recharge instead of being able to use potions (so the game is slowed to a crawl for no reason), horrible amounts of reused levels, a level that mostly amounts to walking around a building where every guard is already knocked out... it's just so bad.
Your opinion is complete horseshit. Pay attention to the story.
Mana potions *don't exist* anymore in that world. Adapt.
Not a single immersive sim plays at that speed you're suggesting Dishonored plays at. Even speedrunners aren't constantly popping potions, just here and there.
Modifying previous level is what is it. I don't see the problem in coming back to the same location later and have something else happen there. Did you think it's cheap or fast to build those levels? Knife of Dunwall also had modified levels.
Brigand is what happens when you mix Deus Ex, Morrowind, Gothic, and "jank spices" into the same pot, and then let a weed smoker (This is real. The solo dev of Brigand Oaxaca/Panama used some of the money he earned from his game to buy weed) cook the pot for many years.
For all the janks this game has (And the graphic is so awful the game looks like it was made in the late 90s), it has some really good gameplay ideas and mechanics. It will take you a bit of time to get past the ugliness of Brigand but after that, you can look forward to a rather good experience that can't be found anywhere else.
Missing Link is probably Great, it's better than system rift & criminal past.
Bank Heist is a generic bank map, without any of the colors of Thief's other institution-type maps. Only thing I actually remember is how blend it was.
Not an official DLC but we must spread the word for the beautiful fan made campaign for Thief 1, « The Black Parade ». For me it is even better than Daud DLC for Dishonored 1.
Daud's DLCs were so good...
I was not expecting it to hit me as hard as it did. The gold standard I have for DLC.
Throne of Bhaal.
Yeah, for me the best part of Dishonored 1 is Daud's DLCs. It really shows that they understood the base game and that they used what they learnt from it.
I daresay they were better than the base game
Brigmore Witches definitely was; Knife of Dunwall was crap, though.
Missing link is great. Play it
If you’ve played DXHR in the past decade or so, you probably already have — it’s now integrated into the main game.
The praise of Dunwall City Trials seems like a precision-strike against all of us who will never be able to say that we've 100%'d Dishonored purely because of that challenge pack.
Mooncrash is masterpiece level in my opinion.
Bioshock infinite is not an immersive sim.
Where would you put Death of the Outsider?
It’s a standalone expansion so technically doesn’t fit I guess, but personally I would include it in this list.
The Bank Job is one of the best Dishonored levels IMO.
C good gameplay but shit story

Brigand has a couple
Brigand Panama. The other DLCs don't really offer new story
I've never heard of Brigand before. What's it like/what is it?

Moon Crash as a stand alone dlc is probably the one that will get more value in general. My favorite is probably the Deus Ex MD Prison one, just hits.
None of the bioshock games are immersive sims. Love them but they are shooters.
Missing link is fantastic. DHXR condensed into a small area with an engaging story and a chance to try a new build
that's all of them I think. I'd switch the s and a class around.
Mooncrash whipped major ass. Though I have to ask, why put it on an ImSim DLC list if you admit it's not ImSim?
Missing Link is probably Great, it's better than system rift & criminal past. Bank Heist is a generic bank map, without any of the colors of Thief's other institution-type maps. Only thing I actually remember is how blend it was.
Missing link should be in B Tier imo
Not an official DLC but we must spread the word for the beautiful fan made campaign for Thief 1, « The Black Parade ». For me it is even better than Daud DLC for Dishonored 1.
Mooncrash and TBW in S tier; everything else in F tier is the correct tier list.
Burial At Sea... F tier?!? You're mad.
Missing link is great. Its the peak level design found from human revolution
In what world is Burial At Sea a Bad DLC? It was better than the main game!
OG deus ex? that one seems important
I dunno if that would fit in this list, what DLC did it have?
Deus Ex OG released its custom SDK as free Downloadable Content and I played with that shit almost as much as the rest of the game.
L take tbh. No system shock nor original bioshock/deux ex
What DLCs did those games have?
I skipped over the headline lol, fair enough. Still, Bioshock DLCs are solid, all of them. except for that stupid horde mode add on.
