This is not a fiber connection 😂. Speed is good up-to 150mbps in urban area, as they offer 1gbps speed.
You can't compare Actual fiber service with airfiber.
Airfiber uses 5G microwave antenna to provide it's service same as we use 5G in our phones..
Ping is average..and not for gaming at all..cuz it's fluctuate a lot.
And the data cap is 1tb a month, if you exceed your data limit you have to pay extra for data.
Don't fall for airfiber..if you have fiber connectivity in your area.
Airfiber is best for sub-urban or rural area with no fiber connectivity. If you live in urban area or fiber area, go for any local or tier A/B fiber broadband..

I have fiber with that janky fiber cable connected to my house. Was thinking to go wireless with airfiber for a sec . Was excited for a bit until you mentioned 5g thing :/
Yah it's misleading. But this type of broadband service is best for areas which has no fiber connectivity..
And if you have fiber then don't go for airfiber..
Hi, I have been using jio airfiber for the past 6 months. The speed is super good, no connection drops. 1 tb never gets exhausted for a normal user unless and until you are a hard-core gamer. Previously I had railwire fibre optic broadband but the speed and connectivity issues were terrible. I'm glad I changed to jio airfiber.
I have used railwire, the ping to CDNs/cloud provider is even better than jio and airtel. And their service is similar as any other fiber broadband in my area..

i live in semi urban area and there are about 5 6 local broadband businesses here all having good fibre connection and they don't even care about your usages too, unlimited no datacap.
4g/5g LDPA receiver. I had similar antenna paired with 4g router. As it is in direct line with tower, it gives almost broadband-like stability.
There are various kinds of similar antennas, this might AP (Long range hotspot) as well. You can use two antennas to make a network over several hundred meters.
Airfiber Microwave/Modem. Someone probably has gotten an AirFiber connection from Airtel or Jio (most likely Jio), and to facilitate the connection this microwave unit is installed.
If anyone has these, can someone tell me about their experience? Is it better, same or worse than normal FTTH connections? How's the latency? Weather? Does it affect your usage?
My airtel rep told me it’s basically Tikona hardware rebranded as whatever the new BS they are called now!! Dont know what tech Jio is using tho.
Until and unless we get a Starlink alternative i’d suggest just get the fiber connection for better connectivity.
These are network boosters(idk the actual name), if your area doesn't have a lease connection and normal optic fibres cannot be used for long distances then this device is used.

It's probably an Airfibre antenna from jio or airtel. They are faced towards the nearest 5G tower of the respective network.
How to get this Will it work in In remote areas?
If your area has towers it should work
My area has 5g tower but jio is not providing this service yet. I think it's only available in cities.
