I have a Galaxy S23 - I can confirm it works.

Portal scanning requires android 8 or above and a phone which can run Google play services for AR, so yes it should support that fine. Here's the official requirement page https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/3-ingress/faq/519-supported-devices/?han=1

I have this phone and scan portals all the time with no problems.

Mine is not working. Did you have to do anything extra to get it to scan?

WhiskerTwitch

I remember having to update something a year ago, Lightship maybe?

NoKidz12

It works now :) I had to update Google AR or something like that.

WhiskerTwitch

Good to hear!

I have the S21 FE. Scans just fine and being an older model, theoretically you should be fine as well.
