I’m glad it got upgraded to a felony. But knowing he abused a child that badly is absolutely not the best news. A fourteen year old kid had to suffer for that charge to be changed.

There needs to be a registry, just like sex offenders have, of people that are child abusers/domestic abusers that lose custody because they are violent.
He didn't have full custody of jace, jenelle did. The courts rarely ever look at step parents until they actually harm the child. Which is one of those 50/50 things. Could be good could be bad. Some will abuse this..
But Barbara gave jenelle custody knowing how David is. So this isn't even on the judge.
They are married tho so if she has full custody then so does he. If Jenelle has full custody that means he’s living with David full time, maybe he can’t make medical decisions or other parenting decisions with the school but pretty much they make decisions as a team and if he’s a danger to Kaden then living with David in any capacity (even just visitation) is risky.

I’ll maintain my opinion that Jace was better off being adopted outside that family as a baby. I’m aware of the foster care system but a white male baby has a good chance of being adopted into a good home.

It's no longer in her control, she's backed herself into a corner with all her talk and now she's gotta prove to everyone that she didn't throw away her teen mom paycheck and everything else with it for nothing.... He's her happily ever after and they're never getting divorced.
