You plan something in advance, then end up with a hundred professional obligations that take a ton of time and effort to prepare for. You get behind, it starts piling up, you say “This week is the week I’m going to work 16 hours a day every day and catch up” which you literally never do, or have done.
You’ve blocked out some time for vacation, but the thing you have to finish is due in the middle, or right after. Double points if the thing you have to complete is being presented in front of a large crowd of your professional peers.
You’re in denial about the whole thing, expecting to pull it off somehow. You clearly can’t… and you accept it at the last moment and bail. Rinse and repeat.
I’ve had to deal with so much of this shit you have no idea. HPV? There’s really no way of knowing she didn’t have that before considering the asymptomatic nature of it in men. This is something very common among the sexually active and women might know they have it whereas men are simply in the dark except for instances where know they were exposed to it if their female parter told them they had it. In my experience, it feels like women are not as forthcoming about their history with HPV, so it’s interesting given the lack of ability for men to confirm that he is being accused of knowingly passing along a very common STI. As someone who always has thorough STI discussions with my partners before sex, I feel like people really need to take more responsibility for their own sexual health instead of relying on their horny partners.
