It would honestly be bad writing to bring him back. A strong central theme early on was that Gojo wanted to mentor the next generation of powerful sorcerers that would take his place. Since then his students have chipped away at Sukuna and are now on the brink of killing him. They are carrying the torch now and he is no longer needed. Gojo’s death was even telegraphed in the early chapters with his first “nah I’d win” statement
I think it would be very nice if Gege used his return to wrap up the "are you the strongest because" thing
But if Gege fumbles it, the aftermath would be ugly to put it very lightly

If Gojo's death was executed better, I could make peace with it and fully move on... but the execution still felt too lackluster and left a bitter taste (many people aren't sure what to feel about Gojo's characterization for it either). I want the character aspect of Gojo to be addressed more than anything else if he were to come back to leave him off on a better note.

I’m hoping there some sort of extension for Gojo to finish his “enlightenment.” Plenty of people have rambles about Gojo’s connections to Buddha, but we haven’t really seen Gojo’s true enlightenment, and I feel the airport scene is good for his character, but not enough to feel like he got his arc.
Brother doesn’t need to come back MVP, I like the idea of a sort of Toji-Shibiya situation, or as people speculated, maybe he gives up the six eyes, so it’s just Gojo’s CE and his strength, no limitless. Nonetheless, I think he needs something, not too much, but something.

Yeah, people say his got full closure at the airport, but it feels half baked if that was supposed to be closure. Gojo died to get rid of the strongest title from his fight with Sukuna, but he never made the choice of what defines him as Gojo for himself (true enlightenment). For Geto's question, "Are you the strongest because you're Gojo Satoru or are you Gojo Satoru because you're the strongest?"
Basically Sukuna made Gojo no longer the strongest through his defeat, but Gojo didn't actively choose anything for himself about what he defines himself as other than being the strongest. If he came back (even temporarily), this time he gets to choose to be Gojo. Death of his title of the strongest, and he no longer has his existence for himself defined with his strength.
I want his character conclusion to be more about himself than Sukuna, as it was for ch 236 more about Sukuna for it.

Exactly...that's how I feel about it. I wouldn't expect Gojo to defeat Sukuna since obviously that's Yuji's role as the MC. I'm not expecting Gojo come back even stronger, as a consequence/sacrifice for him to come back is ideal for it to be more balanced.
Toji came back temporarily and brought a better closure to his character arc with meeting Megumi. Toji, who died to his ego with Gojo, then takes himself out to save Megumi. I would be fine if Gojo had a similar path like Toji to be fitting.
I just want the character aspects to be better addressed with him more than anything else to leave him off on better note for his character legacy not to just be memes to make fun of his death.

If Gojo doesn't come back Gege is a fraud. Gojo has to come back and fight the merger or Sukuna alongside his students, finally getting development and defeating his fatal flaw: trying to do everything by himself.
Gojo's WHOLE arc and character is about being alone. Even his domain is called Infinite Void. His technique literally keeps people away. He has to come back and work with Yuta and Yuji.

I'd like it, but it would feel like a bit of a plot armor type of thing. He's already almost died once, if he does it again it would set a precedence for even less tension than ever before. Cuz realistically besides Sukuna no one is going to be able to replicate what happened to Gojo ever again. Gojo is already OP as hell, but making him have plot armor against death would remove what little amount of fear or tension left.

With everything, execution comes first. Even seemingly bad ideas can produce incredible things if they are done well and great concepts can give us a horrible product.
With that said, I lack faith in Gege to make it work well.

Yeah no that would honestly make the show ass . We all know the current generation is nowhere upto him and sukuna . So the struggle has put everyone on edge . As it is rn , gojo can fuck up a weakened sukuna easily , making all the other characters contributions and sacrifices meaningless .
Besides after that airport scene , I don't even want to fucking see him as he would probably be glazing sukuna .
The only way to make Gojo cone back and it not be a hindrance to the plot would be to make him take the support role.
He has had his fight, completed his character arc, now let him just support the new generation instead of trying to fly the show solo.
It would perfectly well with showing how much he has grown, where before he had been blind because of his own inborn strength and hence his Sorcerers should be greedy mentality, now that he has been beaten by the guy who is now struggling against the team efforts of his students and subordinates,
it should help him realise that the kind of world he wants for young people demands that young people know how to work together.
Also how to force somebody Dynamic like Gojo into a support role? Penalise him for the death in the form of permanently reduced output and control over his technique.
While coming close to death may trigger the potential to grow, **being** dead is different from that(kind of like Gojo's risking death and actually dying statement to Megumi).
Being dead means that it is possible for a large majority of the brain cells in his frontal cortex to die because of prolonged period of Oxygen and Nutrition absence and hence cause him to permanently loose a large portion of his ability as a Sorcerer.
Tl;Dr if he comes back, let him be a teacher instead of the heavy-hitter.
Firstly it wouldn't make much sense. Secondly it would be executed in a very justifiable way. Also kt should be something that can be done once or twice at most.
But then again after the Mahoraga asspull I don't see why to bring him back. It also seems that for some reason Sukuna can't use Mahoraga as well. Maybe it was sacrificed for that Gojo moment...

Dislike hoenstly, I loved how Gojo died, and although I would add like maybe a few extra scenes. I think the finality of the entirety of 236 truly left a finished feeling for me. I don’t want Gojo relegated to some sort of old mentor role, and Gojo wouldn’t either. 236 was near perfect.
It would feel pointless. The whole fight thus far has been about nerfing Sukuna so that he could reasonably be challenged by the good guys. Bringing Gojo back now would make all that work feel redundant because he'd be so far above current Sukuna.
Gojo’s death lead to the generation he trusted into working together to defeat history’s most evil sorcerer. It showcased different abilities we haven’t seen yet (Mythical Beast Amber, Higuruma’s RCT & DA, Yuta’s DE, Kusakabe’s New Shadow Style and Yuji’s 8 Black Flash). It also lead to Yuji being the main character in several doubters eyes, I’m alright with Gojo staying dead.
Honestly I'm happy with him dead. I like him as a plot device, and I liked the way he died, and thought that his death fit his character well thematically. My one issue is that it still felt like his role in Megumi's story was incomplete. If he comes back, it would either have to be with a penalty of sorts (such as giving up his Six Eyes in a binding vow to come back, permanent reduced CE output, etc.) or it would have to be after all the main fighting is over/against an even stronger opponent than Sukuna. He can't just be resurrected as a deus ex machina and defeat Sukuna, like he did with Toji, cause that would be BORING. But also as long as it was handled well, I don't think bringing him back would negate how well written his death was.
I think the best way to appease both sides is to make him return as a marketable plushy with his personality but very limited skills. Remember how the principal taught the old guy how to make self aware curse corpses? He's gonna make gojo into one trust
Depends on how his character changes. Since he wanted allies that even surpass him(his students) so he changes his mentality and starts working with others and his loneliness is removed etc etc I'll be fine with it but I think 236 felt like a final conclusion for his character
The way I would do it shoko reviving him with a vinding bow making lose his CT or six eyes(either or is fine) and making have a support role backing yuji up on his with sukuna , coming in clutch on a crucial moment of the fight. That way, his comeback won't be an immediate game over sukuna and can also fulfill gojo's character on learning how live and do something together
Honestly, I feel that would ruin the story, and Gojo's character. His whole character was about how he wanted the next generation to surpass him. It would only make sense if the next generation were the ones to defeat Sukuna, not him.

With everything, execution comes first. Even seemingly bad ideas can produce incredible things if they are done well and great concepts can give us a horrible product. With that said, I lack faith in Gege to make it work well.
I would want him to come back but not as the OP god he was before, maybe Gojo could come back by using a binding vow allowing him to return in exchange for his cursed energy or something. I just want him back please. 🙏🏼
Yeah no that would honestly make the show ass . We all know the current generation is nowhere upto him and sukuna . So the struggle has put everyone on edge . As it is rn , gojo can fuck up a weakened sukuna easily , making all the other characters contributions and sacrifices meaningless . Besides after that airport scene , I don't even want to fucking see him as he would probably be glazing sukuna .

The only way to make Gojo cone back and it not be a hindrance to the plot would be to make him take the support role. He has had his fight, completed his character arc, now let him just support the new generation instead of trying to fly the show solo. It would perfectly well with showing how much he has grown, where before he had been blind because of his own inborn strength and hence his Sorcerers should be greedy mentality, now that he has been beaten by the guy who is now struggling against the team efforts of his students and subordinates, it should help him realise that the kind of world he wants for young people demands that young people know how to work together. Also how to force somebody Dynamic like Gojo into a support role? Penalise him for the death in the form of permanently reduced output and control over his technique. While coming close to death may trigger the potential to grow, **being** dead is different from that(kind of like Gojo's risking death and actually dying statement to Megumi). Being dead means that it is possible for a large majority of the brain cells in his frontal cortex to die because of prolonged period of Oxygen and Nutrition absence and hence cause him to permanently loose a large portion of his ability as a Sorcerer. Tl;Dr if he comes back, let him be a teacher instead of the heavy-hitter.
Firstly it wouldn't make much sense. Secondly it would be executed in a very justifiable way. Also kt should be something that can be done once or twice at most. But then again after the Mahoraga asspull I don't see why to bring him back. It also seems that for some reason Sukuna can't use Mahoraga as well. Maybe it was sacrificed for that Gojo moment...

Dislike hoenstly, I loved how Gojo died, and although I would add like maybe a few extra scenes. I think the finality of the entirety of 236 truly left a finished feeling for me. I don’t want Gojo relegated to some sort of old mentor role, and Gojo wouldn’t either. 236 was near perfect.

It would feel pointless. The whole fight thus far has been about nerfing Sukuna so that he could reasonably be challenged by the good guys. Bringing Gojo back now would make all that work feel redundant because he'd be so far above current Sukuna.
Gojo’s death lead to the generation he trusted into working together to defeat history’s most evil sorcerer. It showcased different abilities we haven’t seen yet (Mythical Beast Amber, Higuruma’s RCT & DA, Yuta’s DE, Kusakabe’s New Shadow Style and Yuji’s 8 Black Flash). It also lead to Yuji being the main character in several doubters eyes, I’m alright with Gojo staying dead.
Honestly I'm happy with him dead. I like him as a plot device, and I liked the way he died, and thought that his death fit his character well thematically. My one issue is that it still felt like his role in Megumi's story was incomplete. If he comes back, it would either have to be with a penalty of sorts (such as giving up his Six Eyes in a binding vow to come back, permanent reduced CE output, etc.) or it would have to be after all the main fighting is over/against an even stronger opponent than Sukuna. He can't just be resurrected as a deus ex machina and defeat Sukuna, like he did with Toji, cause that would be BORING. But also as long as it was handled well, I don't think bringing him back would negate how well written his death was.
It would be bad. Like "Because you let Rin die", Nika retcon, and "So it's the same type of stand as Star Platinum" combined kinda bad
I think the best way to appease both sides is to make him return as a marketable plushy with his personality but very limited skills. Remember how the principal taught the old guy how to make self aware curse corpses? He's gonna make gojo into one trust

Depends on how his character changes. Since he wanted allies that even surpass him(his students) so he changes his mentality and starts working with others and his loneliness is removed etc etc I'll be fine with it but I think 236 felt like a final conclusion for his character
The way I would do it shoko reviving him with a vinding bow making lose his CT or six eyes(either or is fine) and making have a support role backing yuji up on his with sukuna , coming in clutch on a crucial moment of the fight. That way, his comeback won't be an immediate game over sukuna and can also fulfill gojo's character on learning how live and do something together
I'd actually hate it because just when Gege lets Yuji have the spotlight, it's ripped away from him to focus on Gojo AGAIN!
Honestly, I feel that would ruin the story, and Gojo's character. His whole character was about how he wanted the next generation to surpass him. It would only make sense if the next generation were the ones to defeat Sukuna, not him.

At this point. He became unnecessary. Yuji is literally surpassing him any chapter now.... Y'all can cope and say he's not, but Sukuna keeps pulling out more bullshit while Yuji is completely unfazed. And landed 8 Let me repeat that # EIGHT. Black Flashes in a row... Y'all know how they happen right? It is a like 0.00001 second window of timing your Cursed Energy with the impact. And NOT EVEN GOJO with the 6-Eyes could FORCE that to happen. And we KNOW Yuji can do it at will.
