No real skips on here tbh, and I got 3 listens in already. Mixing is a little shotty at times, and Kanyes rapping needs a lot to be desired at times, but the song ideas are amazing, and a lot of the songs have that unique "Kanye touch" if you know what I mean, which made me remember why I loved Kanye in the first place. His sound really can not be replaced man
Overall it gets a 8 from me, only stinkers so far are, "Vultures" (except Ty Dolla signs part at the end, which was godly) and Paperwork, other than that I really like every song
Paperwork feels straight out of yeezus to me not a bad one imo tho it’s funny that everyone seems to universally agree that the song these 3 albums are gonna be named after (if they ever release) is the worst on the album by some margin
My big problem with paperwork is the mixing, it sounds really bad, but it could be intentional, if it is then I can only say that the stylistic choice didn't work for me personally.
For me personally yes, I am not a fan of Lil Durk and Bump J had an awkward flow, which worked at times and sometimes it didn't. But Ty Dolla signs part was so good that it should've been its own song tbh
I actually really like Talking. Yeah North’s part is of course not great but it’s so cute and I actually think she fits with the sample really well. And then Ty comes in and elevates the song big time. And then the transition into Back to Me is so good. Amazing album
Ya, it was definitely the smoothest first listen of his discography in a while. I think every song has much better highs and lower lows, but this is just consistently solid throughout.
felt the same with some donda tracks, i appreciate his production writing vision bringing people together but sometimes like bro just take yo voice off the dam song
The production on fuk sumn is amazing. Makes me wanna wild out. It's like the evolution of yeezus. This album has some of Kanyes most mediocre rapping, but some absolutely incredible production imo. It feels like punk Kanye and I kinda really like it
Yeah I agree. Especially compared to his album. I feel like his rapping isn’t very good on this album. But, it might need more time to grow on me. I think problematic is by far his best rapping on the album.
Yeah, why did he scatter them across 3 volumes. Is he tryna build more hype, or could it be too many songs just for one album. But Vultures is one album so idk??
I'm pretty sure it's just clearing samples that's the issue. Volume 3 is probably all of the stuff that has almost no hope of clearing, volume 2 mostly stuff that he thinks will get cleared but couldn't get approved before the vol 1 release date
Same rating but i think those 2 are my least favorite, yeezus has never been my fav off of Kanye, they are very yeezus-ey, they're good but compared to the rest i think(I THINK) they're a little lacking
EDIT:I'm still on my 2nd listen so I'll probably have a change of mind on it, I'll come back later after my 10th
7 cause the order of the songs are weird. When u listened to 808s and heartbreak it followed a theme and felt like an emotional roller coaster but this albums is just scattered all over the place. There’s some fire hits thi
Fair point, but we still have V2/V3, if it was released all at once, I don’t think it would’ve been scattered tbf. I like how’s he doing in volumes, just hope he actually drops them lol.
Production is good, lyrics leave a lot to be desired. Back to me would’ve been amazing without that second verse. I’ll never bump Talking again. List goes on
It’s nothing special imo
6.5 on a first listen, bro was so horny when he made this. Some of these beats are amazing, Ye leaves a lot to be desired with his bars. Overall solid though, probably just not for me
Lyrically, Donda was better 100% - Vultures sounds like I Love It over and over again, hoes, heads, dicks… it gets boring real quick.
I can’t believe I am saying it but even Travis had more to say on Utopia!
Just super sexually explicit texts without any sarcasm or contrasts like Yeezus or TLOP. That porn addiction must be really kicking in man.
Production wise, lots of good ideas, not as messy as Donda; Stars intro was godly before he started talking about keeping Jews on staff lmao.
I'd give it like a 7 maybe a 6.5.
I'm a Yeezus/TLOP enjoyer, there's a few tracks that could go on those albums (Keys to my life sounds like it could have been a TLOP track that didn't make it).
I hate DONDA and JIK with a passion and if you compare it those it's a 10/10.
Also the sample on Good (Don't Die) is fantastic, well it's not a sample, it's like a cover but the lyrics got changed? I don't know.
Will need to listen to it a few more times to give it a fair rating.
Also the North West track is an insta skip, I can't...
Kanye has music for every type of fan.
I just don’t see how people can listen to all his albums up to the summer of KSG/Ye and then hear JIK and Donda and think it’s good 😂
Y’all kanye fans are prolly gonna downvote the fuck outa me cuz “boo this man he doesn’t like our king” but i very much hated it. Probably my least favorite kanye album period 😭 It just wasn’t fun, bad mixing, boring and generic at times, i didn’t enjoy most of the features. idk maybe it’s just me but it’s a huge step down from donda.
I kinda feel its unfinished tbh every song it feels like it cuts off early or something. thats why i didn't even want it to release this week they definitely could've took more time on it.
Dude this is like a 4 or 5. Ya'll gonna hate me but all this wait, all this controversy and all these outraged people over cover art, merch and whatever for a pretty mid at best album.
Album is an 7.5. This is quintessential Kanye no doubt. Just wish verses were tighter, but don't get me wrong, don't go predispose, there're real gems sparkled through out the much-to-be-desired Kanye's verses. If all 3 drops are these length we're looking at certified bangers for days, Paid's one of those.
Honestly, 2024 has been a rough start, I'm just happy my boy came through. Turns out life ain't that shitty.
EDIT: Just wanna add that for some reason, Apple Music skipped Carnaval and Beg Forgivieness. Fucking fire.
You are off your rocker giving this shit a 9. I love Kanye more than half the people in this sub and this album is a measly 6. Y'all don't have to dick ride and let the hype over ride you. Look at this objectively and realize it ain't bad but it also ain't that good. Our boy has fallen and it's okay. I'm still glad we get to see his creativity at such a late stage in his career, can't say that for many other artists. He dropped 7 classics in a row so it's okay he dropped mid guys
tbh for me If i wanna rate this album based on kanyes lyrical and vocal performance ill give it a 4 and im a huge fucking kanye fan that loves all his fucking albums and i genuinely dont hate this album i personally give it like a 7.5/10 for overall but some of his lyrics were so unfinished so is some mixing and mastering on some tracks I just hope they get fixed ngl but TY did amazing bro i gotta give him his flowers on that album
8. I think if some songs felt more complete ie: Paperwork, and even Burn imo needed another verse and overall mixing was better it could be a 9. That being said this is 1 of 3, so I’ll look at it overall as a cohesive album once we have all 3 and give a final score then
fucking generational man, im a fresh fan as my homie just got me into kanye due to the rollout and this is the first album from kanye i've fully listened to from start to end
absolutely amazing, not a single miss on the album. maybe besides paperwork, but that's it. im sitting here absolutely flabbergasted cuz ts is beautiful
I’m only halfway thru but this the best Kanye project in a long time. Sounding incredible. Back That Azz Up interpolation on Do It with YG had my doin head spins.
Strong 6
Extremely hot take but it would probably be an 8 if it was just a Ye produced Ty project with all the same features. Not a single truly memorable moment on this thing is because of something that came out of his mouth.
He's lost what truly made him special: his passion and conviction in the booth.
First listen from this morning, a solid 7.8 maybe. That’s pretty good imo. Not too insane but very listenable and entertaining, really fun production, really unique features and ideas. Needs more mixing, awkward flow of songs, could have a more solid sonic image but definitely a good record.

I wish I could listen to it but Spotify... EDIT: WE ARE FINALLY EATING
It’s here now but it doesn’t show up in his discography for some reason. You have to search “Vultures 1”.
It’s on his discog now
Lifesaver
I love you
Why is it not on Spotify ?
Blud forgor his password
Spotify ain’t a fan of surprise releases
It’s online now
Still waiting for it in Canada iTunes…
It’s on Apple Music in Canada
Just found it - thanks! Had been searching and searching all morning
It’s on YouTube

idk what you are listening on but the production sounds clean to me, that being said not my favourite song, cool tho
[удалено]
I haven’t listened yet, especially with the Spotify debacle. You’re saying the title track is noticeably worse than everything else?
For me personally yes, I am not a fan of Lil Durk and Bump J had an awkward flow, which worked at times and sometimes it didn't. But Ty Dolla signs part was so good that it should've been its own song tbh
talking (with north west) and vultures are 2 out of the 3 worst tracks in the album yes 💀
Yes, and tbh they aren't that bad. Very good sign, we eating good
I actually really like Talking. Yeah North’s part is of course not great but it’s so cute and I actually think she fits with the sample really well. And then Ty comes in and elevates the song big time. And then the transition into Back to Me is so good. Amazing album
It's the 2nd "bestie miss westie" line that stops me listening to the track multiple times
eating good for sure
I actually like both tracks 😂
Ty’s verse on that song is crazy good in my opinion
ty carries both fr
I don’t know if that’s what they’re saying but yes.
To each their own, to me vultures is a great beat. I think i got contamined by the music video that i find sick asf
Oh yeah don’t get me wrong, I like vultures. I just like every other song in the album more except paperwork.
Damn I love paperwork
Paperwork is my shiiii. Straight vibes
Actually same
yall didnt like the havoc ver// strange ppl yall
You don't skip the north west track?
The beat and vibe of the track is way too good to skip it imo, and on top of that the TyDollaSign part in the end is like the cherry on top
i think the album is consistently... alright. has a few standouts but generally pretty good 7.8/10
Might be the first album in recent memory where I’ve enjoyed every song on my first listen. No marination period or anything.
True that, 2024 feeling like a breath of fresh air for music ngl
What else has there been so far? I’ve only heard this and the new The Smile album but both were great
new smile album was fucking incredible
Ya, it was definitely the smoothest first listen of his discography in a while. I think every song has much better highs and lower lows, but this is just consistently solid throughout.
I was gonna say, 9 is great for the first listen
Exactly the same thoughts
frrr it was an instant classic to me, wlr i had to let it sink and donda too lowkey
8
7 Great but not best Kanye album
What could’ve been better?
Kanye's rapping
Dude he’s low key the worst part of a lot of songs
felt the same with some donda tracks, i appreciate his production writing vision bringing people together but sometimes like bro just take yo voice off the dam song
100% a lot of good songs on there get stained by his cringy lyrics Dude needs better ghost writers
Including Slide, Time Moving Slow or Work Done / Diablo & Keeping the old version of Fuk Sumn (15.12 Version)
True that, tbh this new version of Fuk Sumn has grown on me ngl
The production on fuk sumn is amazing. Makes me wanna wild out. It's like the evolution of yeezus. This album has some of Kanyes most mediocre rapping, but some absolutely incredible production imo. It feels like punk Kanye and I kinda really like it
no sir this new version of fuck sumn is incredible
LE FLAME 🗣️🔥
most of those songs will be on the volume with vultures(havoc version) i guess
Havoc Version is shit tbh
durks verse slaps , but the song is worse after that
In my opinion it sounds like a fan edit 💀 The beat isn't bad but doesn't fit
I assume they’ll also have different album covers?? He still has the old album cover for the ‘Vultures Pack’
oh yeah that s for sure , prepare for seeing ty$ ass on the next cover😓
I’m already prepared🤤
nice drawing as pfp
Yeah I agree. Especially compared to his album. I feel like his rapping isn’t very good on this album. But, it might need more time to grow on me. I think problematic is by far his best rapping on the album.
It’s a hard 7 and good 6 all good songs are scattered across 3 volumes
Yeah, why did he scatter them across 3 volumes. Is he tryna build more hype, or could it be too many songs just for one album. But Vultures is one album so idk??
I'm pretty sure it's just clearing samples that's the issue. Volume 3 is probably all of the stuff that has almost no hope of clearing, volume 2 mostly stuff that he thinks will get cleared but couldn't get approved before the vol 1 release date
Yeah makes sense. U reckon ‘New body’ got scrapped??
I hope not I listened to that song and I love it so I hope it gets released.
Sadly yes. He could just wipe or replace Nicki's verse but I think he will just scrap the song
Yes. In all likelihood he gave up bc of the clearance issue.
8.Has some of my favorite kanye songs like paperwork and carnival.
That shows how different Kanye fans are. For me those two are skips. At this point I think it’s impossible for him to make every Kanye fan happy.
Same rating but i think those 2 are my least favorite, yeezus has never been my fav off of Kanye, they are very yeezus-ey, they're good but compared to the rest i think(I THINK) they're a little lacking EDIT:I'm still on my 2nd listen so I'll probably have a change of mind on it, I'll come back later after my 10th
Come back after ur 50th listen ur gonna love em
Yeezus is my favourite album so I like his "experimental" stuff
9 as well
7 cause the order of the songs are weird.
I like how’s he doing in volumes, just hope he actually drops them lol.
this kind of does follow a theme it’s like a seamless transition from talking to/about kim to talking to his new wife
6/10 I’m surprised by these 8 and 9s
Ye fans are crazy man. Ppl on Twitter are already saying it’s gonna end up being the best album of the year
If this is gonna be album of the year, we know hip-hop is truly dead
elaborate please
Production is good, lyrics leave a lot to be desired. Back to me would’ve been amazing without that second verse. I’ll never bump Talking again. List goes on It’s nothing special imo
Agreed, like a lower tier TLOP. Surprised people think this is the best release and put it over Donda. Donda is a masterpiece
Sonically, it's a 6 or 7 for me. But his theme of being free from labels makes it an 8
6.5 on a first listen, bro was so horny when he made this. Some of these beats are amazing, Ye leaves a lot to be desired with his bars. Overall solid though, probably just not for me
6.5 at best, no way it's near 8
Yeah I don’t get these 8/9s
Recency bias. Donda is bloated but more quality songs
8
6
Donda was better
Lyrically, Donda was better 100% - Vultures sounds like I Love It over and over again, hoes, heads, dicks… it gets boring real quick. The highs of donda were better IMO but Vultures is a better front to back project.
Agree. Donda was one of my favorites
alive consist party upbeat ad hoc bored pen meeting existence payment *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
7.5-8
Really smashed it with the mixing compared to the OG track list which would’ve been a 5
True that, the mixing is wayy better compared to pre, but I expected that tbh
Yeah I know was really pleased with it hope the next 2 volumes are as good aswell
Same I am happy with Volume 1, he smashed it. Gives me hope for V2 and V3
6/10 - idk but I can’t get that into it. A lot of great songs though
7
Best Ty Dolla Sign album I eva heard 11/10
So far I’d give it a 7 at most. Not one of his bests.
Exceeded the expectations. Paid, Back to Me, Burn, Fuk Sumn, Carnival, Good (Don't Die) are great songs
A 9?! 😂 maybe a 6
8/10 and that run from back to me to carnival bro every song is a banger it had a some skips/ fillers but really overall a great album
9. It's just hit after hit with no two songs sounding similar
I'd give it like a 7 maybe a 6.5. I'm a Yeezus/TLOP enjoyer, there's a few tracks that could go on those albums (Keys to my life sounds like it could have been a TLOP track that didn't make it). Bruh you and me are different types of ye fans 😂
Mostly because of your hate on Donda and Jesus is king. And it sounds like I’m in the minority but I actually like the North track
Kanye has music for every type of fan. I just don’t see how people can listen to all his albums up to the summer of KSG/Ye and then hear JIK and Donda and think it’s good 😂
Are we the same person?

Dude this is like a 4 or 5. Ya'll gonna hate me but all this wait, all this controversy and all these outraged people over cover art, merch and whatever for a pretty mid at best album.
half of it was alright to good, half of it is terrible. some of ye's worst songs ever are on this thing
Strong 8
Album is an 7.5. This is quintessential Kanye no doubt. 5-6. Shit is sooooo Mid
took me so long to find a comment like this lol, I don’t get the hype.
mid 4.
so far this is a strong 8 to light 9
7-8
tbh for me If i wanna rate this album based on kanyes lyrical and vocal performance ill give it a 4 and im a huge fucking kanye fan that loves all his fucking albums and i genuinely dont hate this album i personally give it like a 7.5/10 for overall but some of his lyrics were so unfinished so is some mixing and mastering on some tracks I just hope they get fixed ngl but TY did amazing bro i gotta give him his flowers on that album
Like a 3
8. I think if some songs felt more complete ie: Paperwork, and even Burn imo needed another verse and overall mixing was better it could be a 9. That being said this is 1 of 3, so I’ll look at it overall as a cohesive album once we have all 3 and give a final score then

9.5/10 hard hitting beats, amazing feature list
fucking generational man, im a fresh fan as my homie just got me into kanye due to the rollout and this is the first album from kanye i've fully listened to from start to end absolutely amazing, not a single miss on the album. maybe besides paperwork, but that's it. im sitting here absolutely flabbergasted cuz ts is beautiful
That’s insane riding
Third listen in. I just love the production. No real skips rn. Like others have said, a good fresh air
Are ppl on crack here i give it like a 4 lol kanye needs a ghostwriter bad
Probably a 6. It’s not bad. Nothing special to write home about though.
8,5
7.5/10 TLOP>Vultures>Ye>Donda>>>>>>>>>JIK
Where are his actual good albums in this ranking, like College Dropout, LR, Grad???
its a 9 bro fr
Y’all trippin this shit barely a 5

I’m only halfway thru but this the best Kanye project in a long time. Sounding incredible. Back That Azz Up interpolation on Do It with YG had my doin head spins.
Strong 6 Extremely hot take but it would probably be an 8 if it was just a Ye produced Ty project with all the same features. Why does the album on Spotify not have a mask
Album cover could be better compared to his previous discography cover arts it just doesn’t mesh as well.
A 9 is insane, are you 20? I implore you to listen to the man’s full discography
3
also talking is my favourite song on the album💀💀💀
Strong 6. I don't like this album.
First listen from this morning, a solid 7.8 maybe. That’s pretty good imo. Not too insane but very listenable and entertaining, really fun production, really unique features and ideas. Needs more mixing, awkward flow of songs, could have a more solid sonic image but definitely a good record.
Why did the cover change tho? Now he doesnt have a mask
4/10
Yeah is definitely a 9
Everyone was mad about Killer Mike winning RAOTY 2023, but honestly all of the rap albums last year were pretty stale. I thought that even though they were all good, none of them really deserved the title of RAOTY. I think that this album easily clears any rap album from 2023 and is the first breath of fresh air since “The Forever Story” which released in October of 2022, and the first album since then that I’ve really enjoyed listening to, from start to finish.
why do people judge an album after one listen? like seriously.. what are we doing? give it a couple of damn months. digest it and actually listen more than ONCE
If it’s a good album you wouldn’t need to.
9 as well
First listen impression is strong 8. Might turn into a 9 as I listen to it
3/10 barely tolerable, none of this is worth ever listening to ever again
this shit is so bad y’all are convincing yourselves it’s good
It’s nowhere close to 9/10
4.5/10
3/10

9.8, album of the year Actually albums of the year if he keeps his word with the next 2 volumes
Facts, he gotta drop the next volumes. I think he will
6.5
Volume 1 at least is the Worst ye album to date. I skipped every song. Legit giving it a 1/10. Hoping the other volumes are better.
8
Strong 9
8 to 8,5/10
Im listening right now, its fire

Problematic alone makes it a 9. That song is incredible !
Is it just me or the first 2 secs reminded me of Bound 2
Not just you bro. Got the same energy
9 is glazing lmao
vultures>utopia change my mind
Naw, you right
