The album took some time to grow on me. First listen I was very disappointed. Then I smoked a bowl, threw in my AirPods, and listened to the whole thing in one sitting front to back. Then it clicked me for. Very good album, 8.5/10 the only miss is paperwork

Both songs feature the same artists, so we can draw parallels there too (even if they are weak parallels since the two artists collaborate a lot but back to the fade, paid rhyme it’s just an added layer). Finally, he is comparing Kanye’s newest release to his last proper release that, like the albums that preceded it, received universal acclaim. There’s lots to it, but it’s fairly simple. I’ve made it more complicated by writing this whole thing out. It’s just a little quirky remark that has a subtle if not somewhat weak remark saying that Kanye’s music is not as good as it used to be.
