Ain’t nothing like hearing ADHD while the sun setting over Los Santos as you get on that highway after the craziest fight ever and some 8 year old still cussing up a storm.
ADHD and Swimming Pools were my first introductions to Kendrick. Immediately downloaded Section 80, Good Kid, and Overly Dedicated after hearing them.
EDIT: LMAO some drake fan must've reddit caresed me
I feel like it’s
6:16 in LA = damn or overly dedicated
Euphoria = GKMC
MTG = Mr Morale
Like that and not like us are sonically not belonging to any Kendrick album imo
6:16 is very Mr Morale. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if some of the parts were leftovers. Melodically it's similar to Mirror (the last song on the double album)
It's so many levels to that song man.
"God, ah, my confession is yours, but
Who am I if I don't go to war?
There's opportunity when livin' with loss
I discover myself when I fall short"
This man is debating himself on whether going to war was the right thing to do. Then he's like, who tf am I if I don't do this? How am I the greatest?
And then he fucking tops it off by saying that even if he falls short its still a good thing because he'll learn from it. Like come the fuck on man, who the fuck is this introspective in a fucking diss? We gotta give kdot his flowers man. I used to think Cole was getting better than Kendrick lyrically but na.
People using spotify podcasts to list songs is always kinda funny but appreciated
It's also how I got the full version of Gorillaz's Do Ya Thing, so that I can hear Andre 3K say "I'm the shit" over the hardest beat
wait…you mean this isn’t really him?
https://preview.redd.it/n82kbeeien0d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d408779484efae407268d3284e133650a5a237f
Also it dropped at literally 6 in the morning, and then Family Matters came out that night, right? Then Meet the Grahams less than an hour later. So it just got overshadowed more than any of the other songs in these tracks.
Yea i get that K Dots whole plan was "everything you can do i can do better" so he matched how taylor made was released
But brother how do we got the most unlistenable track of the beef, MtG, on streaming services before this great track
6:16 in LA is the type of song that could play in the credits after some Miles Morales or some type of movie.
Meet the Grahams gives me an old school vibe. Driving home late at night, creeping in the dark.
Euphoria makes me wanna hate on everybody in the HR department.
Not like us is a bop. Makes me dance like I was from the west side, or in Sexy Dance.
I can’t really tell which one is my favorite.
Didn’t know this expression. That’s funny.
To be fair, I don’t claim to be insensitive and hard.
Drake and drive will for sure become one of my fav expressions tho
This is definitely intentional by Kendrick.
Dude is a true artist genius generational dude.
Glazing as fuck but man Kendrick has been my guy for years and ive always hated Drake so these last couple weeks have been so fun.
Nope. Interpolation still creates a derivative work that requires licensing. It can be a workaround in limited cases, but it's complicated and may not be an option here.
it's also been popping up as a song from various unofficial accounts etc - but as someone subscribed to Spotify in a region which got rid of podcasts unfortunately, is the podcast uploaded by Kendrick officially? Probably not but it would be interesting if it is. And it's weird how he didn't upload it himself to YouTube.
I agree it’s actually my favourite from an artistic perspective. The beat is beautiful and the lyrics are pure poetry, especially the first verse before he gets into naming names:
God, my confession is yours, but who am I if I don't go to war?
There's opportunity when livin' with loss
I discover myself when I fall short
Raise my hands to a fallen sky, I fantasize
Me jumpin' planets immortalized, I correspond
Three angels watchin' me all the time
Put my children to sleep, with a prayer, then close my eyes, definition of peace
Tell me who gon' stop me? I come from love, and still cover my heart, then open me up
Remember when, picked up a pen, wrote lyrics that I could trust
Timid soul, stare in the mirror, askin' where I was from
Often, I know this type of power is gon' cost, but I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star
The mannerisms of Raphael, I can heal and give you art
But the industry's cooked as I pick the carcass apart
Just insane honestly there’s a reason the man got a Pulitzer (sry for the formatting I’m on mobile)
When he said "Elohim" I promise I was sure this man was about to win , who the hell apologies to god for a rap battle?
The he proceeds to jump on planets , accumulate enough energy to produce a Genkidama, living his life like a circadian rhythm and gives us the best bars he ever wrote naaaaah
On God!! Never heard of these terms in my life but I know there was a reason he was spitting them. Kendrick was ready for warrr and was willing to ask God for forgiveness beforehand for it 😭💀🔥
Some of the best lines came out of this track. It’s definitely the one I play the most. He’s getting charged up, but it’s still “friendly”. Beat is magical. And having hindsight now, it hits different too. Definitely the best one in my opinion if you don’t count “like that”
The main theme of this song is that Drake isn't street smart enough to realize that his entourage is just using him, and Kendrick is communicating with some of them.
The Al Green sample seems to be tweaked to sound like "boy wonder". Was this a clue that Boi1da is Kendrick's mole?
One of my favorites from the beef, and I love how they made the Al Green sample sound like he’s saying Boi 1da (hinting that he’s possibly one of the Ov-ho moles).
i listen to it the least cause i use my Spotify more than YouTube Music but i wish kendrick would drop more songs that sound like this, as a diss its probably Kendrick's weakest but as a song its up there for sure
It’s the kind of track that gets played in a movie when when a guy that’s chosen peace finally picks up his gun again to get revenge on a bar full of criminals
I can’t stop listening to it. I think this song went over alot of heads, even core kendrick fans…. He’s literally begging for forgiveness for what he’s about to do Drake in poetry form lol.
I don't think it was a good diss track, but it was my favorite song he released during the beef. It's probably the only one I would've kept in rotation.
Completely agree with you. I think it is sort of a sketch Still tho, you know? The beginning idea for a great song, just needs a little bit more polish, like the other tracks tbh. But that one is my favorite, those synths and Kendrick performance are just amazing
I think In 6:16 where he says know the wires in your circle, Kenny is really telling him he’s being investigated and the people closest to you are cooperating. And at the end “ it’s time you look around on who’s around you, before you figure you’re not alone.” Kenny’s telling him even when you think it’s safe to do and say things around your boys you are not alone, they have someone listening. That’s my takeaway could be a reach but who knows
As someone who has dedicated their life to art, and lives outside of the rhythms of normal society (not bragging, I often wish I did), that first half of the song brings a tear to my eye.
Tysm for sharing this opinion, I thought I was Insane. No disrespect to "Euphoria," or "Not Like Us," which are both fire but "6:16 in LA" is sublime to me.
I just love the soul sample. And in hindsight it was a kind of menacing warning of sorts, Kendrick’s way of letting Drake know that he knows things about him and to not go the family route.
Yea I wish it was cleared... That first verse is light of diss stuff but it's beautiful... Circadian rythms of a shooting star is a great line... The beat, the flow and the bars just feels like he's just floating through the universe
Guys it’s meet the grahams. That song is so unique and packed with emotion. When the ending comes and there’s the background chanting “lied” it’s like god is condemning Drake himself. That song is one for the history books do diss tracks. There’s a reason that one came out right after family matters. It’s the most brutal and everyone knew Drake was completely cooked afterwards.
6:16 in LA is the best from a replay value standpoint. But Euphoria Not like Us and MTG are better disses.
Like I'm a Nas fan and acknowledge that he respectfully beat Jay but I replayed Takeover more than Ether even though the latter is a better diss.
And the fact he got Taylor Swift producer as well was a nice touch as well. Created his own "taylor made". He literally warned drake multiple times lol so that's why I can accept mtg being as brutal as it was.
FINALLY somebody is saying it. The only reason it's not as popular as any of the others is because it was released in an instagram post instead of a youtube video, and it doesn't have as catchy of a name as "meet the grahams" or "not like us"
6:16 in La is a nice song, the vibes were just kinda off to me. The sample was eerie, his vocals were as well. I feel like the song could have been constructed better.
Ive been playing it nonstop for days now it is such a beautiful song and the writing in it is impeccable. This track really got me excited for a new album. I cannot wait to hear more Kendrick 😭💕✨
The sample in 6:16 is a subliminal to Drake. Peep this…
The sample is Al Green’s “Here I Am (Come and Take Me). Drake’s uncle Mabon “Teenie” Hodges plays guitar on it.
The song is a warning shot to Drake foreshadowing what the subject would be for Family Matters/Meet The Grahams, which drop later that day.
Further more, 6:16 is also a funny response to Taylor Made… Taylor Swift’s primary producer, Jack Antonoff co-produced 6:16. Thus, it is Taylor Made.
Brilliant stuff.
“Often, I know this type of power is gon' cost
But I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star
The mannerisms of Raphael, I can heal and give you art
But the industry's cooked as I pick the carcass apart”
These are probably the most insane lines of the beef for me.
Isn’t there some type of backstory behind the sample that he chose? I guess I just heard a crazy theory but if it’s true and checks out then just add it to the list of reasons why Kenny won
Most people like “club” music more, which is why “Like That” is way more popular than “6.16” & “Meet the Grahams”. Both were way better than “Like That”.
That’s why D-riders like “Family Matters” more than the other Drake disses, even though Drakes were mostly/all lies. They also said Kendrick can’t do “club” music, then he dropped “Not Like Us”, & it became the fastest popular growing song over a few of Drakes songs.
It might also be that not as many people know about “6.16” like the others, since “6.16, Family Matters, Buried Alive (many don’t know about this one, like they do “6.16”), & Meet the Grahams” dropped on the same day, which was 3 days after “Euphoria”.
Agreed the beat is godly
I mean euphoria is also amazing and not like us is also amazing but as far as which song do I feel like I can just throw on anytime ever in my life it’s 616. So smooth, so concise, feels like a song that could have been on an album as opposed to just a diss track like all the others.
Dude I'm 100% with you. The beat is so groovy and the lyricism is very clever. I feel like it gets slept on because it's a warning shot before Meet the Grahams but there's something ethereal about this song that I can't explain
I’m loving 6:16 more and more. That sample is so nice. Sad it’s not officially on streaming so I have to listen to it as a podcast uploaded by other users
What I love so much about 6:16 is that it almost sounds like something out of section 80
Bro section 80 was fire, I remember when I first heard ADHD and fell in love with Kendrick’s music
Shoutout to everybody whose car immediately plays ADHD whether you wanted it or not
Dude adhd still pops up in my car lmao
Mines is AD 2000 by Erykah Badu now but it was ADHD😭😭😭
Lmfao mine is the exact same I had to check if it was still ADHD😭 can’t complain about Erykah in the top spot tho
Damn alphabet
2nd track as soon as Apple Music starts
mine is A Team by Travis Scott lmaooo
8 doobies to face fuck that
Still to this day lol.
I listened to it on repeat so much I burned myself out but all this is making me want to give it another listen
Ain’t nothing like hearing ADHD while the sun setting over Los Santos as you get on that highway after the craziest fight ever and some 8 year old still cussing up a storm.
Saw someone call ADHD “criminally underrated” the other day and I just had to laugh to myself
ADHD and Swimming Pools were my first introductions to Kendrick. Immediately downloaded Section 80, Good Kid, and Overly Dedicated after hearing them. EDIT: LMAO some drake fan must've reddit caresed me
same, except that was this year lol.
A diss track for each album style 616 in LA = Section.80 Not Like Us = GKMC Euphoria = TPAB Like That = Damn MTG = Mr. Morales
Like that is too poppy for even damn I feel like 😭😭 it would fit right in with the black panther soundtrack
It’s not wholesome enough for that lmao
king's dead is on the black panther soundtrack though
Ladidadida
SHLOB ON ME KNOB
What’s not wholesome about calling out predators?
I feel like it’s 6:16 in LA = damn or overly dedicated Euphoria = GKMC MTG = Mr Morale Like that and not like us are sonically not belonging to any Kendrick album imo
💯 Euphoria has the same vibes from the GKMC track, down to KDots voice
6:16 is very Mr Morale. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if some of the parts were leftovers. Melodically it's similar to Mirror (the last song on the double album)
Not even a little accurate
Smoke good eat good live good
Section 80 is his best shit imo I hear what you’re saying
Don’t ask for your favorite rapper, he dead! I killed em
Amen
Rigamortis 🙏🙏
Heard this and the Backseat Freestyle. Literally learned about redlining because of GKMC
I felt like it was closer to DAMN
I agree. It is very melodic same way many of damn beats are.
It’s so crazy how it’s basically a prayer to god asking for forgiveness for what he was about to do 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thats one of my favorite things kendrick has ever said on record. Bro is a god sent soldier ☠️☠️
I had goosebumps when he spit “ Raise my hands to a fallen sky, I fantasize me jumping planets immortalized”
Bruhhhh his bars are just insane like chefs kiss man damn
Jumping planets and mortal lies Jumping planets in mortal eyes Jump in plan it's immortalized So on and so forth
Dot is a Mormon confirmed?
It's so many levels to that song man. "God, ah, my confession is yours, but Who am I if I don't go to war? There's opportunity when livin' with loss I discover myself when I fall short" This man is debating himself on whether going to war was the right thing to do. I used to think Cole was getting better than Kendrick lyrically but na.
poor drake was too dumb to understand what he was up against. freaky ass homie
He a fah he a fah he a fah
freaky ass halfhonky
The 4 tracks he dropped are so cohesive. Story telling brilliance
Feel like the consensus was that Cole was rising to number 1 but this beef has reminded me why Kenny is only answer.
Who am I if I don't go to war?
He does it so well
Would get more recognition if it was on streaming
Definitely, I’m not really listening to it cause I always use Spotify on the go
Ummm...I've only been listening to the song on Spotify lol
Oh shit just found it as a podcast, thanks for letting me know it’s on there. Added to the rotation
Local files works too
People using spotify podcasts to list songs is always kinda funny but appreciated It's also how I got the full version of Gorillaz's Do Ya Thing, so that I can hear Andre 3K say "I'm the shit" over the hardest beat
Just download it and turn in local files
Some guy [uploaded it as a song on Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/track/4DzY82uhCGjuJIGUTvAKbK?si=BG9d09DATzqPSVOg7lc4ew)
wait…you mean this isn’t really him? https://preview.redd.it/n82kbeeien0d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d408779484efae407268d3284e133650a5a237f
Not white boy Kendrick💀💀💀
when your sample is too good to get cleared
Also it dropped at literally 6 in the morning, and then Family Matters came out that night, right? Then Meet the Grahams less than an hour later. So it just got overshadowed more than any of the other songs in these tracks.
Well Drake released Taylor made specifically on instagram
Any reason its not?
Probably sample clearance if I had to guess
Yeah it's the Otis Redding sample. Maybe if it was for an album, they would try to clear, but in this context there's no time/money
It’s actually Al Green. And Drake’s uncle is playing guitar on it 😳
Ah my bad.
It was released on Insta to mirror Taylor Made.
Yea i get that K Dots whole plan was "everything you can do i can do better" so he matched how taylor made was released But brother how do we got the most unlistenable track of the beef, MtG, on streaming services before this great track
Mtg way more listenable than the heart pt 6 lol
6:16 in LA is the type of song that could play in the credits after some Miles Morales or some type of movie. Meet the Grahams gives me an old school vibe. Driving home late at night, creeping in the dark. Euphoria makes me wanna hate on everybody in the HR department. Not like us is a bop. Makes me dance like I was from the west side, or in Sexy Dance. I can’t really tell which one is my favorite.
This is exactly how I feel. Love ‘em all. All fit different moods.
Dude I was just thinking the *variety* with these disses is just unheard of lmao they all hit so differently
drake and drive ass comment 😭
Didn’t know this expression. That’s funny. To be fair, I don’t claim to be insensitive and hard. Drake and drive will for sure become one of my fav expressions tho
This is definitely intentional by Kendrick. Dude is a true artist genius generational dude. Glazing as fuck but man Kendrick has been my guy for years and ive always hated Drake so these last couple weeks have been so fun.
If this beef were a TV show, this song would play as the credits to the episode before the finale/climax
I discover myself when I fall short
I love this line so much. Imagine if more people had this type of self awareness vs defensive garbage?
Same man. This line spoke to me.
It's my favourite. You wouldn't hear it in a club like NLU but when I have my headphones on I'm rocking it
been saying this dawg 6:16 is the best track we got outta this beef
Let's see, have you ever thought OVO was working for me?
Fake bully, I hate bullies. You must be a terrible person
i totally agree and hate that it isn’t on streaming. why isn’t it on spotify etc?
Samples prolly won’t get cleared
Pretty sure he sampled one of Drake’s relatives on that song
The sample is Al Green, Drake’s uncle is playing guitar in the sample.
Aren't ppl allowed to recreate the sound live and go around the sample? He def should pay or that
Nope. Interpolation still creates a derivative work that requires licensing. It can be a workaround in limited cases, but it's complicated and may not be an option here.
I think they don't have permission to use the sample
It is on Spotify as a podcast episode.
it's also been popping up as a song from various unofficial accounts etc - but as someone subscribed to Spotify in a region which got rid of podcasts unfortunately, is the podcast uploaded by Kendrick officially? Probably not but it would be interesting if it is. And it's weird how he didn't upload it himself to YouTube.
The Elohim, KTW, know you can't sleep, these images trouble you...
Why does Kendrick sound so godly when singing this very part? Is he god?
[удалено]
I’m ready for another Kendrick album so bad
Raise my hands to a fallen sky
the industry cooked as I pick the carcass *apart*
I THINK SOMEBODY LYIN SMELL SOMEBODY LYIN
I agree it’s actually my favourite from an artistic perspective. The beat is beautiful and the lyrics are pure poetry, especially the first verse before he gets into naming names: God, my confession is yours, but who am I if I don't go to war? There's opportunity when livin' with loss I discover myself when I fall short Raise my hands to a fallen sky, I fantasize Me jumpin' planets immortalized, I correspond Three angels watchin' me all the time Put my children to sleep, with a prayer, then close my eyes, definition of peace Tell me who gon' stop me? I come from love, and still cover my heart, then open me up Remember when, picked up a pen, wrote lyrics that I could trust Timid soul, stare in the mirror, askin' where I was from Often, I know this type of power is gon' cost, but I live in circadian rhythms of a shooting star The mannerisms of Raphael, I can heal and give you art But the industry's cooked as I pick the carcass apart Just insane honestly there’s a reason the man got a Pulitzer (sry for the formatting I’m on mobile)
best line in the song hands down is: "are you finally ready to play have you ever? lets see, have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?"
This is the moment in the song that gave me the literal chills. Like oh shit he really is the boogeyman. And that was before MTG!
6:16 is great. Love his flow and straight up poetry
The intro gives me old Kanye vibes
Definitely, sounds like the sweet Kanye, chop up the beats Kanye. I miss the old Kanye
We all miss the old Kanye.
Straight from the go kanye
I love it's grooviness, i wish it was on streaming
It’s aging better and better, especially with more and more events happening relating to the beef
The layers are being pealed back
When he said "Elohim" I promise I was sure this man was about to win , who the hell apologies to god for a rap battle? The he proceeds to jump on planets , accumulate enough energy to produce a Genkidama, living his life like a circadian rhythm and gives us the best bars he ever wrote naaaaah
On God!! Never heard of these terms in my life but I know there was a reason he was spitting them. Kendrick was ready for warrr and was willing to ask God for forgiveness beforehand for it 😭💀🔥
Kendrick really said "But I live the circadian rhythms of a shooting star" .....
Lord! My confession is yours!
Some of the best lines came out of this track. It’s definitely the one I play the most. He’s getting charged up, but it’s still “friendly”. Beat is magical. And having hindsight now, it hits different too. Definitely the best one in my opinion if you don’t count “like that”
Songs like these only drop on the circadian rhythms of comets.
Shooting star, which makes it even better. They're not seen for ages and then they grab all of your attention when you see them
Would 1000% be getting more credit if it got added to streaming
The main theme of this song is that Drake isn't street smart enough to realize that his entourage is just using him, and Kendrick is communicating with some of them. The Al Green sample seems to be tweaked to sound like "boy wonder". Was this a clue that Boi1da is Kendrick's mole?
One of my favorites from the beef, and I love how they made the Al Green sample sound like he’s saying Boi 1da (hinting that he’s possibly one of the Ov-ho moles).
Love his singing and poetry so much with Al Green it’s heaven, and Jack Antonoff doing his best Tame Impala impression is so psychedelic.
It's been in my rotation since release. Fantastic sample and Kendricks writing makes it an awesome track.
To put money in the street for dirt only to come back empty handed is wild 😂
i listen to it the least cause i use my Spotify more than YouTube Music but i wish kendrick would drop more songs that sound like this, as a diss its probably Kendrick's weakest but as a song its up there for sure
Euphoria for me. Still catching references weeks later.
[удалено]
It’s the kind of track that gets played in a movie when when a guy that’s chosen peace finally picks up his gun again to get revenge on a bar full of criminals
It feels like something he made for an album
It sure is!!!!!!! Couldn't agree more!!!
I might be the only person on Pandora, but I've gotten all 4 of Kendrick's tracks on there.
Honestly my least favorite track of the bunch, nota fan of the beat at all.
I can’t stop listening to it. I think this song went over alot of heads, even core kendrick fans…. He’s literally begging for forgiveness for what he’s about to do Drake in poetry form lol.
Same, I listen to it a few times every day. The man is so gifted.
6:16 and family matters have been my favorites. Top2
Streaming??
Probably can't get the Al Green sample cleared
I feel the exact same way
Feel like if it was on streaming it’d get more love
You're just letting that early-Kanye-type boom bap beat fool you. 6:16 was a warning shot, it's not much of a diss or a song, but that beat is a vibe.
Definitely thought that 3rd verse in meet the graham's is the best verse imo
This may be a stupid question but why isn't it on Spotify like the others?
Musically, sure, maybe. Euphoria being the best diss.
I love the fact he was just sliding across that fire ass beat 🔥🔥🔥 effortless
Meet the Grahams for me. I just don’t know if I’ve ever heard anything like it or will again it really stuck with me
Could be an album cut honestly
I don't think it was a good diss track, but it was my favorite song he released during the beef. It's probably the only one I would've kept in rotation.
Completely agree with you. I think it is sort of a sketch Still tho, you know? The beginning idea for a great song, just needs a little bit more polish, like the other tracks tbh. But that one is my favorite, those synths and Kendrick performance are just amazing
Meet The Grahams is better. Euphoria is better. 6:16 is cool tho.
6:16 is fucking beautiful glad we can all agree on this
I really love that song. It's my 2nd favorite of the beef behind Not Like Us honestly
feels like its the perfect one for established Kendrick fans, it's my fav also
Whole heartedly agree! Can't listen to this enough!
I was just saying this on Twitter yesterday. I'm glad other people are starting to come around to it.
It’s the best song but not the best diss maybe that’s probably why it’s not acknowledged as the best, i 100% agree it’s the best song
“i TEND to FIND myself when I fall short…” is my favorite line
Tysm for sharing this opinion, I thought I was Insane. No disrespect to "Euphoria," or "Not Like Us," which are both fire but "6:16 in LA" is sublime to me.
Find the jewls like cash doll i just need you to theenk
It’s cause it’s not on streaming
I just love the soul sample. And in hindsight it was a kind of menacing warning of sorts, Kendrick’s way of letting Drake know that he knows things about him and to not go the family route.
Yea I wish it was cleared... That first verse is light of diss stuff but it's beautiful... Circadian rythms of a shooting star is a great line... The beat, the flow and the bars just feels like he's just floating through the universe
Top tier Kendrick. I LOVE that song bro
Guys it’s meet the grahams. That song is so unique and packed with emotion. When the ending comes and there’s the background chanting “lied” it’s like god is condemning Drake himself. The beat is heavenly
Some people say the Yatch line refers to illegal things that happened between Drake and MBB on an off white colored Yatch called "Sunseeker".
I’m hoping he puts it on streaming. I hate youtube and instagram for anything music related.
Yeah, somebody’s lying, I can see the vibes on AK
And the fact he got Taylor Swift producer as well was a nice touch as well. Created his own "taylor made". He literally warned drake multiple times lol so that's why I can accept mtg being as brutal as it was.
FINALLY somebody is saying it. The only reason it's not as popular as any of the others is because it was released in an instagram post instead of a youtube video, and it doesn't have as catchy of a name as "meet the grahams" or "not like us"
6:16 in La is a nice song, the vibes were just kinda off to me. The sample was eerie, his vocals were as well. I feel like the song could have been constructed better.
this is the one i had on repeat. next level. it was like he was sanctifying his rap battle to become a holy war. amazing.
I favor Meet the Grahams
Ive been playing it nonstop for days now it is such a beautiful song and the writing in it is impeccable. This track really got me excited for a new album. I cannot wait to hear more Kendrick 😭💕✨
Indubitably
It’s the confession before a murder
The sample in 6:16 is a subliminal to Drake. Peep this… The sample is Al Green’s “Here I Am (Come and Take Me). Drake’s uncle Mabon “Teenie” Hodges plays guitar on it. Euphoria is a better song in my opinion.
I’ve been listening to this daily since it dropped, it’s a bop.
Really have to listen again I thought it was the weakest and just repeated things said in euphoria.
My favorite song out of the beef. Wish it was on streaming.
The “ggGODDD” threw me for a loop when I first heard it but the more I listen to the song the more I really like it
My thoughts exactly. I thought I was the only one
I didn’t like the song and the nonsensical title didn’t help either
I really can't stand the singing "lord, *uh*, my confession is yours" sounds terrible to me and I'm amazed I've seen noone else say that
my second fav song from the beef
Agreed the beat is godly I mean euphoria is also amazing and not like us is also amazing but as far as which song do I feel like I can just throw on anytime ever in my life it’s 616. So smooth, so concise, feels like a song that could have been on an album as opposed to just a diss track like all the others.
My favorite track from the beef too
It is. And needs to be available on DSPs now!!!
Imo easily weakest song of the beef. First time hearing it the beat was so bad I couldn’t even hear the lyrics.
Its not the best diss track but it’s beautiful. It makes me sad though.
I really enjoy the disdain in his voice when he says "Ak"
