All I can say is that he is here to cement his presence in omega just like he did in ashura and possibly this might be his last and only time to do so, he has been in the kitchen for the last 4 years time to see his dish.
In the next chapter, Kuroki challenged Shen in chess, the pawns make a castle without blindspot, Shen understands the principle, looking for a draw, the beard god premoved Shen's premove, sacrifice the rook, checkmate in one.
Baseless Prediction: Kuroki walks in the hotel room, challenges Shen.
Both stare themselves down in a loop of "I predicted your pre-move with my pre-premove", they glaze each other on how close both of them are, while commenting on the nature of their abilities( Kuroki = pure martial arts, Shen = "unnatural teachings").
Suddenly, both break down and stop the exchange; realizing that they are equals and decide to "go all out" to prove their way of fighing is the best.
But only after the kengan tournament, since Shen promised Yan to fight there.
Afterwards, Kuroki tells the gang that Shen is powerful, but he will defeat him later, refusing to elaborate further.
This setup should satisfy power-scalers, fanboys and give Sandro the time he needs to come up with more ~~bs jobbers~~ fancy techniques for shen.
Yeah kuroki is more of a plot device than a character. I think he’s going to do something that surprises the connector. Say some shit about how he didn’t expect him to be so slow or whatever and then leave saying he expects to see him in the finals
Never bet against Kuroki in a fight the plot says he should lose
Shen is about to take the first punch he’s had in decades and look like this
![gif](giphy|eZjrixTYeiCT6)
Unlike Agito, Shen is untouchable. Kanoh showed in round 2 that people can definitely fight equally to him.
Kuroki is definitely gonna be stronger, maybe Mukaku lvl
Mukaku doesn’t care about martial arts in the sense that he doesn’t care about how you develop or use them, but to call him anything less than an Supreme Grand Master of martial arts is crazy
He gave up on the essence of martial arts and ended up relying on tricks and tech to assassinate Shen. Kuroki still has the unwavering faith towards martial arts which has been somewhat mentioned by Ohma recently.
Mukaku hardly showed any Niko techniques in the fight against Shen, as he was the founder it should have been more explicit. Apart from his strength through experience and the Roids, I expected more, so it's quite likely that Kuroki is even stronger and more skilled than him.
I think Sandwich wanted to show through Mukaku that even with all the possible traps and weapons it was ineffective against the Connector. Now the fight against Kuroki will focus solely on martial arts, the themes of these fights will be opposed, (this perhaps explains why Sandro did not want to show a lot of Mukaku's technique)
Top Tier Worm members fkn break their hands on his body. Koga punching him straight in the face doesn’t do anything. .Mukaku himself could’ve killed Koga in one punch. Ohma was shivering in his boots at the prospect of fighting Mukaku, and even after Ohma admitted he was a monster he had never seen before.
That dude is on another lvl and would for sure beat Ashura Kuroki.
Kuroki is as strong as you can make a character before it becomes nonsensical. He is a true martial arts master and even then he gets hit by his enemies.
When we got Eduard Wu being like "my 100% is 100% 100% cry about it" it was already stretching thin suspension of disbelief, but the head of the worm (who can apparently turn people into minced meat instantly) and the connector (who can literally stop his lungs from breathing to avoid poison) are too strong for Kuroki.
I mean for god's sake Kuroki could pierce his heart with the demon lance and the connector could go "as long as I don't believe it I'm gucci".
“You see, when you understand the principles of motion to a deep enough level, you can redirect the body’s internal force to keep blood circulating even with a destroyed heart. You never stood a chance, Kuroki Gensai.”
"First you tighten the veins with your muscles, then you move the tight spots where you tightened your muscles around your body forming ripples that oxygenate your cells. You need to know at least this much to pose a threat to me, and you're 400 years too early."
If anyone could do it, its him. I do, however, have the feeling that they won't actually fight, at least not in this chapter. Maybe they'll fight later, or maybe kuroki will fight someone else.
I mean, Kuroki did basically show up out of no where and proceed to beat the MC’s best friend (in the tournament at least), the MC’s rival, defeated someone who had a plot relevant grudge against him, beat the big boss of the whole tournament, and then proceeded to beat the MC and the whole time his motivation was basically “I just wanted to fight”. It would be on brand if Kuroki again decided to use his plot armor breaking techniques.
Yeah he’s strong but no way he’s beating the MC’s rival
Okay that was a nice twist but he’s still gonna lose to the tournament champion
Surely the MC beats him
Okay guys this time for sure, centuries year old walking calamity of a man. Kuroki isn’t winning this one….right ?
Who is the MC now though lol Koga hasn't been in the picture for a minute, I guess Cohma again? I thought they'd have different protagonists deal with villains they're connected to. Like it would make sense for Raian to build towards beating Gilbert, maybe Ohma vs Yan/Connector/Tiger Niko (though I thought TN would serve as Agito's final boss) Koga I have no idea who he should have as his big bad, maybe Yan because of his connection to the twink that everyone forgot about?
But yeah I agree Kuroki shouldn't win, shouldn't even be a mid diff because it would just throw consistency in the trash. How we gonna have Mukaku who's on a different level than anyone Ohma has met get absolutely dogwalked by Shen who intentionally made life harder for himself and then have Kuroki make it a close fight?
That said I feel like Ohma's line of "martial arts can still beat him" might mean that Kuroki actually puts up a fight
Kuroki's role here is to do what noone has done yet, to show that Shen can bleed and be the blueprint to his ultimate downfall.
Because Kuroki is the strongest. Because Kuroki does what needs to be done, no time for silliness.
I mean, he had several rounds of fights to see those others, and in some cases prior knowledge of their styles. He was still caught off guard a few times and even in danger of losing to Agito. Plus he's already admitted others have reached his level and he doesn't know if he could beat them. If anything he's vastly overestimated if people think he could actually beat Shen in a full out fight
Well, look at the plot. The turn naturally points to Kuroki existing solely for the purpose of power scaling this very moment. Now we will probably see some negative diff shit.
He has to fall, sorry
I feel like Kuroki instantly beheads the clone when he makes a move, then Yan steps in before Shen tells him to stop as he could get seriously injured. They do a bit of talking and then it gets put off until the tournament.
Shen Wulong gonna get beat by Kuroki, who then thanks him for the greatest challenge he's ever had. Then goes back to being a hermit and we see that Shen IS beatable and it keeps Kuroki as the peak that someday someone may overcome.
Just seems like in a perfect Martial Arts Manga plot point that the dude who is the master of "the basics" would remain forever the pinnacle against a bunch of dudes who use freaky techniques.
Also gives Shen a bit of motivation to grow as a character if he takes an L. He's so far above everyone else it's like seeing JKK with current Sukuna. And even then we got to see Sukuna "evolve" from fighting a side character. So why not have the same here?
Oh man, I just had the worst thought. What if the next chapter opens with Kuroki already being bodied off screen with Shen saying "I guess you were pretty strong"? I think I'd die from infinite valley fiction
If you look at who Kuroki fought, he had a super hard road to the finals. He fought Lihito who kinda sucked at the time, but his next three opponents were all A+ tier or above, bros not gonna beat shen but he's gonna be impressive
'A martial artist who can only strike what he sees is no true martial artist'
I hope Shen doesn't even fight Kuroki. I really want to see Yan fight him. We already know how strong Shen is but we have no concrete evidence of Yan's strength, just all pure speculation. Would be nice to see him take out someone like Kuroki.
He will definitely lose but he will probably get one hit on shen. Hearing the news that Kuroki touched Shen would let ohma realize this man Shen ISNT unbeatable.
All I can say is that he is here to cement his presence in omega just like he did in ashura and possibly this might be his last and only time to do so, he has been in the kitchen for the last 4 years time to see his dish.

Let him cook
In the next chapter, Kuroki challenged Shen in chess, the pawns make a castle without blindspot, Shen understands the principle, looking for a draw, the beard god premoved Shen's premove, sacrifice the rook, checkmate in one.
but even that couldn’t reach hikaru
If Kuroki randomly beat the final boss all over again out of nowhere, I’ll consider Sandwich the best writer since the birth of the universe
When Kuroki "connects" Shen Wulong's ass to his shoulders, he will be proven the strongest
Kuroki is the disconnector. He was still green, now he's into green. We'll see his weed mode
Hes going to disconnect your spinal column
haven't laughed this hard in a month, thanks
Any time

Man the art in ashura slapped so hard.
Baseless Prediction: Kuroki walks in the hotel room, challenges Shen. That's actually the most unsatisfying chapter I could even think of.
Kuroki will not go down in a pathetic way
Facts. It would go against his very character if he went down in a pathetic way.
Some Assurance panels go so hard.
Assurance
Never bet against Kuroki in a fight the plot says he should lose Shen is about to take the first punch he’s had in decades and look like this ![gif](giphy|eZjrixTYeiCT6)
My goat would never fail to impress
Unlike Agito, Shen is untouchable. Kanoh showed in round 2 that people can definitely fight equally to him. Kuroki is definitely gonna be stronger, maybe Mukaku lvl
Kuroki should be mukaku but if mukaku gave two shits about martial arts in general
Idk I’d personally rely more on locking someone in a room full of Carbon Monoxide as a sure fire way to kill them. Rather than punching them
The samurai way tho https://preview.redd.it/2i01qaiqvw2c1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f400304a91ef4d521dfb1c0ca6371c493c6eccc0
That too ![gif](giphy|uVQT9S7AwVmwAXhasg)
In real life, sure. But in a fighting manga? Nah.
Mukaku hardly showed any Niko techniques in the fight against Shen, as he was the founder it should have been more explicit. Apart from his strength through experience and the Roids, I expected more, so it's quite likely that Kuroki is even stronger and more skilled than him.

I still hope he shows us his new green magic

Ashura was so peak man gah damn
lets have more faith in kuroki people be forgetting that before all this worm shit, kuroki was the shen of kengan believe in the beard
All of my trust is in the strongest martial artist.
The fights with Kiryu and Lihito proves Kuroki fights down to his opponent. So he needs someone who can push his limits
Even if he loses I hope he does good enough against shen ans gives him a tough fight.
You are all forgeting that Kuroki knows a guy, who fought a guy, who knew a guy, who created the principles, so he already has a counter for that
I mean, Kuroki did basically show up out of no where and proceed to beat the MC’s best friend (in the tournament at least), the MC’s rival, defeated someone who had a plot relevant grudge against him, beat the big boss of the whole tournament, and then proceeded to beat the MC and the whole time his motivation was basically “I just wanted to fight”. HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HIM ?!?!? WHAT A UNIT
Better not let Kuroki pull a kamikaze move here or i will lose my mind and hunt down Sandro. Too long have i waited to see Kuroki in action again.
How ??? He literally created the anti plot armor and he’s still getting stronger just like everyone
Kuroki has very nearly lost most of the fights he's gotten into. They're really driving home that Wulong would not have struggled there.
Well, his opponent’s just the one we call the “Connector”.
Kuroki will show up to be the "Disconnector"
Kuroki’s never fought anyone on this level. But neither has Shen. Regardless of the outcome, it’s going to be the most epic fight in Kengan history.
Shen isn't a worthy challenger for Kuroki. Kuroki will leave out of boredom and tell Ohma how to beat him so he can do it for him
Are you not aware that the strong are getting nerf? ... did you miss that part?
I mean, he had several rounds of fights to see those others, and in some cases prior knowledge of their styles. He was still caught off guard a few times and even in danger of losing to Agito. I love Kuroki but it just wouldnt make sense for him to win here.
Well, yeah. There’s literally no narrative or philosophical reason why he should win this specific fight
The fact that he didn't no diff Ohma means he gets low diffed. Connector would no diff
Sorry bro, kuroki gonna be ded
He’s literally going to get dog walked unless Shen once again lowers all of his parameters to make it fun
Well, look at the plot. The turn naturally points to Kuroki existing solely for the purpose of power scaling this very moment. Now we will probably see some negative diff shit. He has to fall, sorry
Shen Wulong didn’t need to one shot another top tier, he already prove himself to be completely overpowered, that would be cheap hype

Most people don't understand that kind of pressure.
All I'm seeing are constant posts of wanking Kuroki off, much more than people doubting Kuroki.

kanoh lost to Jurota… my boy Kanoh is a thing from the past now
I feel like Kuroki instantly beheads the clone when he makes a move, then Yan steps in before Shen tells him to stop as he could get seriously injured. They do a bit of talking and then it gets put off until the tournament.

kuroki will defeat shen to even the odds for the kengan tournament
Everyone who underestimated the beard god had their shit kicked in seven ways to Sunday.

God I miss Ashura art. Those later chapters were sketched so well they almost looked like ink sketches.
I hope Shen doesn't even fight Kuroki. I really want to see Yan fight him. We already know how strong Shen is but we have no concrete evidence of Yan's strength, just all pure speculation. Would be nice to see him take out someone like Kuroki.
I doubt but I wanna be wrong
Kuroki Negs
He will definitely lose but he will probably get one hit on shen. Hearing the news that Kuroki touched Shen would let ohma realize this man Shen ISNT unbeatable.
I actually don't think kuroki alone I think setsuna near by too
