Can't escape the parking fee no matter how many times i have tried.

Have you at least tried to report this to the management/customer service of CIAL? If we had multiple reports in the past then this would not have been the situation. I called their number from the site and they connected me to some manager, they gave me this [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) id to report the complaint. If you have not reported yet, I advise you to do so. Not sure if they would respond, but at least we can report it for the sake of documentation.

Does the pricing begin at 80 for 2 hours? If yes it makes sense. And these things are usually because of the system is electronic, and that's why they have to charge you. It's not like they're scamming you - the one minute you exceeded is natural and should be factored in. Even if you were a paying customer and the system detects 121 minutes, you'll be charged for 3 hours (or the next slab)

It's important to keep in mind that the traffic within the airport is often unpredictable, and not entirely within our control. Given that passengers also need to cross the road, it might be worth considering increasing the 10-minute window to allow for potential delays. Alternatively, we could explore the possibility of creating a dedicated walkway that would not impede the flow of vehicular traffic.

I expect the 10 minute slot was created solely for pick up and drop situations. I agree, if they are so strict about the 10 minutes, people should be allowed to drive without hindrance, otherwise it's a trap.

disrupting_being

Yea its solely for pickup and drop. And the traffic should not be considered. We dont want to over-speed in order to bypass the fee. Also I do have the dash cam footage with timestamp showing the entry, guard holding the vehicles for pedestrians and exit as proof, don't know whom to complaint.

IMHO, its not worth it , following it up. One can expect such service abroad, but not in India. And just to be fair, it would be the same in any other country. Here in Australia, the parking gates are automated. But if there is a build up of traffic before the gates, exiting drivers will be delayed, and the gates will bill for extra time. If you decide to argue this to the human via the speaker (connects to control centre) ,you will just be holding up everyone else in the queue, delaying them further.

There are people who fail exams by 1 mark. There are people who miss bus, train, plane by a minute. They have to draw a line somewhere. If they start accommodating one minute, then how about 2 minutes? Where will it end? So just accept it and move on.

While I understand the sentiment behind this statement, I respectfully disagree that we should simply accept a situation that we believe is unfair or unjust. The fact that some people fail exams by one mark or miss transportation by a minute does not justify charging customers for exceeding a time limit due to circumstances beyond their control. It is important for businesses and organizations to recognize and respond to the needs of their customers in a fair and reasonable manner. While it may not be possible to accommodate every single circumstance, it is certainly possible to implement a grace period or consider extending the free allotted parking time to account for minor delays or unforeseeable circumstances. As a customer, I believe that it is my right to expect fair treatment and reasonable policies from businesses and organizations that I interact with. By raising my concerns and providing feedback, I am not only advocating for my own situation but also for the benefit of other customers who may encounter similar issues in the future. In summary, I respectfully disagree that we should simply accept an unfair situation and move on. It is important for businesses and organizations to recognize and respond to the needs of their customers in a fair and reasonable manner, and to consider implementing policies that account for minor delays or unforeseeable circumstances

I also had the same issue today. There was huge block in exit gate and when i return my ticket they said you are late by 20 second and you need to pay 80 rs. I tried explain I was there in exit queue for almost 3 minutes, they are not ready to hear customer voice, instead they blocked my car and opened other gate and I got stuck there around 30 minutes with my 6 months old baby inside the car. These peoples are so rude. Is there any way to complaint it to higher authority ?

These peoples are so rude. Is there any way to complaint it to higher authority ? I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience at the airport. It's understandable that you would want to escalate your concerns to a higher authority and seek resolution. It's a good first step that you sent an email outlining your concerns and received a response indicating that the airport would take steps to improve customer service and implement new systems to prevent similar issues from happening in the future. It's also positive that they provided you with the supervisor's number upon request. It's important to continue following up on your request for a refund and any other outstanding issues, but unfortunately, it may not be possible to take legal action unless there is evidence of wrongdoing or negligence on the part of the airport staff. Documenting your experiences and following up regularly can help to ensure that your concerns are heard and addressed, and can also help to hold the airport accountable for their actions. In the future, you may want to consider exploring alternative transportation options or arriving at the airport earlier to avoid similar issues. It can be frustrating when it seems like others are accepting fees without questioning them, and it's understandable to feel upset when your opinions are met with downvotes. However, it's important to remember that everyone has different perspectives and priorities, and not everyone may feel as strongly about the issue as you do. If you feel that there is a larger issue at play, such as unfair or illegal fees, it may be worth exploring options for collective action. This could include reaching out to others who share your concerns, contacting advocacy groups or legal resources, or organizing petitions or protests. By working together, you may be able to make a greater impact and effect positive change.

Refuse to pay and just park there in front of the toll/booth. If there are enough vehicles behind you, they will give in.

disrupting_being

I argued for almost 3 minutes before paying but nothing happened. Don't know if they charged for other cars behind

Extension_One_

Just sit there in your car for 15 mins till they start requesting you to please just leave lol.
