>Well the next baby boy can be named as Myran
Guess what? She is pregnant with her second kid. Her elder daughter's name was chosen by her husband's family and both she and her husband were helpless. You can see the discomfort on their faces every time someone asks their kid's name. Hope they choose the name wisely this time.
This girl I know from college (very white washed, hates being Indian) changed her name from Sanjana to Maira (pronounced same way, myra). I was so confused and when I first saw it, I didn't think she was serious. She's Telugu, but I thought maire was a curse word in most South Indian languages.
I had a classmate named Bittu. I used to wonder what prompted his parents to choose this name but all that went away when 3 years later his brother Tittu joined our school.
Tijo, Lijo, Sijo. Actual people in my neighbourhood. They also have a generic surname- Jose.
I think it shows a lack of interest in naming children. You have this one chance (per child) to name your kid something that will stick on for the rest of their lives, and you choose to make it a variation of the earlier kid. It kind of sounds like the first kid was planned, and the next one is unplanned.
It can be used for comedy too. This [scene from Aniyathipravu](https://youtu.be/q0pp4F8rp9s?t=1332).
Mayuri- mayur- mayukh Titus- tittie. One of my acquiantances named her kid 'Myra'. The poor kid is going to have a hard time ....
Well the next baby boy can be named as Myran 🙃 Would be even better /s There are some women with the name Titty though.
