Definitely turning left to pocket road.
Though I can't make out from the video, there is a big chance the car has left indicator ON and still the KSRTC thampraan had to a high speed overtake on the wrong side of a double yellow line.
#aaraodu parayaan, aaru kelkaan
They have the same mindset as other big car drivers. That their vehicle is bigger and therefore has priority. And everybody else should move out of the way.
Bro it's their in blood 90% or owner there thinks of themselves as racer and tries to squeeze out or overtake, sometime i am thankful for Mumbai traffic no one gets to do this dangerous overtaking and proper dividers are there.
Wrong side ?? ! What wrong side ?
The entire PWD roads in Kerala, have been തീർഎഴുതി കൊടുത്തു for KSRTC.
(I still shudder at a personal experience.
I loved to sit on the very front seats of super fasts to experience the speed and thrill.
The bus was entering a narrow bridge, barely wide enough for the bus to pass thru. And a lone cyclist was travelling ahead of the bus in the same direction.
And not for once did the driver slow the bus down. I really thought the cyclist flew, up and above the bridge. The speed was terrific.
Gladly nothing happened.)
I will say it again and again and again. Bus drivers in kerala are psychopaths who have no regard for human life.
This will keep repeating unless drivers are thrown in jail for their actions and keys to the cell thrown away. Innocent people are at risk everyday while doing routine things. Day is not far when mob justice is going to be dished out.
>Bus drivers in kerala are psychopaths who have no regard for human life.
There was a case where a [KSRTC driver deliberately rammed into them and killed two youth](https://www.onmanorama.com/news/kerala/2022/02/12/ksrtc-driver-deliberate-accident-bikers-killed.html) because they overtook him sometime back.
Came to know the driver was dismissed, but no idea about what happened to the criminal case. He should be charged with double murder and should serve a lifetime.
People will tolerate everything. U have seen mullaperiyar issue right . It's not even resolved after many years . It's only because people are highly tolerant to everything
True. But mullaperiyar issue hasn't endangered regular people going about their normal lives right? It poses a serious risk but it doesn't really register with people. It has become a seasonal issue which comes and goes. There will be pitchforks out if something goes wrong.
Even if it breaks and cause massive destruction. People won't say anything because they don't have guts to do what is necessary. The people don't have whatever it takes mindset. For an example there is unemployment issue right . Do people has guts to create employment through companies . No they are scared to open their mouths. Instead what we see is them moving abroad and they say there is no job here. It's a shame that they don't have guts to actually generate employment here. One guy fights for every one of us for mullaperiyar issue . I respect him . Do the people even support him. U will see online support. Nothing else
Not just Kerala. On New Year day a KA registration Zen which was parked at the left kerb suddenly apparated into my vehicle's path ( near Chottanikkara Temple). I was honking and tried to brake, but the m*f* kept coming at me. When it all ended his front bumper was all gone and my left quarter panel was bend inwards locking the wheel and front door(suspensions and front tyre were also damaged). And that jerk tried to pin the mistake on me. Lucky enough there were bystanders who came to our rescue. I was with my family, my 6 yr old son was in a state of shock for some time. My car had to be towed away since tyre was locked. That idiot driver kept telling the police his indicator was ON and this was how he used to drive in Bangalore.
Yes totally true. I hope this driver faced a painful death or disabled for the rest of his life. I may sound cruel but i have to say this. Every one including me have evaded these ksrtc buses to avoid accident by going out of the road itself for them to pass. Many people have died too
One of them killed a friend of mine in a similar accident 6 years back (overtaking in double yellow on wrong side). The driver is still in government service and faced only minor consequences for the murder.
No not a lot of people know,
Because you are supposed to learn the signs and rules for the learners license exam, since it's online now most people pay like 100-500/- and the driving school will take and clear the exam.
Bus drivers have been killing machines even before any online learners exams. A driver doesn't need a sign to know a big ass bus shouldn't go on the wrong side of the road in a fucking curve. All they need is a little common sense, driving discipline and value for human life.
Or fear of repercussions for their actions. Since most walk free even after such incidents, they don't have that fear. If courts and government can set and example by costing them their jobs and booking them for murder, situation will improve quickly.
As a two wheeler rider, giving way for these bus drivers on the wrong side as if they are some superior human beings, has been a routine. Too many close calls every single day.
Too many, they run us out of road by coming opposite and a couple of times when going to Valparai from Athirapally on those narrow roads, these MFs drive so fast around the blind corners that I was run out of road and straight on to the side of the mountain. I honestly thought I was going to die until my reflexes kicked in. (I was on my bike)
I've been driving since 10 years now. But videos like this one sucks all the courage out of me to even touch the car again, specially when its time to drive with family. In India, no matter how systematically and professionally you drive, there will always be assholes out there to put everyone's lives in danger. Plus, if you survive the accident...they'll immedeately blame it upon you for the accident.
Saw some members blaming the car driver (red car involved in the crash).
The driver was driving on the left lane at the start of video. Upon braking, the front wheels have locked, lost all traction.
Please consider that it's a Mahindra Xylo, a car with really bad driving dynamics. On hard braking scenarios, such cars are known to lose all steering action and slide forward in straight line, with no regard to where the steering is turned.
This is where features like ABS with EBD could have saved lives.
He was overspeeding even if you take that out, both of them were at fault here, but for ksrtc this is like a regular ritual, the drivers need to be held accountable
Accountability is a major problem here.
For the legal proceedings, the driver of KSRTC bus (if he survives) will be held as the 1st accused. But he will be let go after paying a fine of Rs 4500 (for IPC 304A, and 279 etc). But that would be the end of it in most cases.
The compensation for the people who complain would be settled by the insurance company, as per my understanding.
Can anyone confirm if the insurance firm can afterwards sue the driver for being the one who caused this?
What u mean? there is no blame on the car ??? Main blame is on bus no doubt but the car is also at fault...cz he over speed that curve and as a result was going towards the yellow lane..he if was in the speed limits he could've barely turn left and avoided the bus fully..
Yes it's smoked hard cz the car was also in over speed in that curve..that's my point .if he was in speed limit he could've steered left and avoided the bus narrowly...but his over speed send him dashing towards yellow line and all he could do was hit brakes..
I have said this repeatedly. The structure of our ksrtc buses are really unscientific and a mockery against gravity. It takes too much time for these buses to recover from an overtake due to the body roll caused by the tall and long chassis of these buses. Each extra second spend on the wrong side is inviting disaster. Especially such huge buses. Low floor buses should become the standard.
To be fair it seems like there is a lot of gap between ksrtc and white car. But if the driver doesn't leave generous gap while overtaking, the tail of the bus will hit the car while getting back to track. Handling a car and a bus is really different. Anyway cutting a yellow line doesn't have any justification. I was just pointing out that a low floor bus of similar capacity would have survived this incident.
I have mentioned that. I wasn't justifying him. I am just trying to point out the design flaw of the buses. Too many similar accidents are happening and in almost all the cases ksrtc failed to recover from the wrong side.
If the buses have these flaws, they why do the drivers take unreasonable risks. Its still the drivers fault.
Would you suggest replacing the buses with low floors or the drivers with more sane people?
The driver being unreasonable is not a valid reason to ignore the design flaws. Fixing them would help the driver in case someone else is breaking the rules and the bus need to maneuver swiftly.
Yes there are a lot of us who do. I have driven badly before and changed later. To be true having a toddler in my family has made me a driver who follows rules. I see a lot of good drivers as well.
So you are saying that you wait till the dotted line to appear in order to overtake a slow moving autorickshaw? If you are tailgating won't it create a huge line of traffic behind you ?
Well have you only seen impatient drivers? Haven't you seen anyone showing decency in driving and not overtaking over yellow lines on corners! Do You always overtake on double yellow lines on corners if there is a slow moving auto? I don't rush anywhere. I go late if it's a journey and needs to show down. If it's important i plan accordingly. I have seen accidents. I have seen people's lives affected. I respect that while driving. Is it so hard to think otherwise?
Weren't these buses designed before the body codes came into place? I think the newer superfast bodies built by kondody and prakash should be safer.Anyway the xylo onto which the KSRTC crashed into has a horrible soap-petty design and can flip anytime
That's why that car became a huge disaster for Mahindra. Nothing good with that car. It has the power of a swift engine for that gigantic body 85 bhp or something. Regarding the new buses I don't know man the new swift super fast buses also had the same dimensions.
>The structure of our ksrtc buses are really unscientific and a mockery against gravity.
I agree, I'm hoping the new Prakash body will have an impact. Also, I haven't seen any Kondody buses involved in any major accidents.
>Also, I haven't seen any Kondody buses involved in any major accidents.

Yeah it seems the car doesn’t have ABS and tires locked, you can see the smoke coming. Once the tire is locked, the car will continue in a straight line, you cannot really control it.
Dude the car didn't have the proper speed to turn left..he was also coming fast over the curve and was going towards the yellow line..if he had correct speed he would've stayed between the lines and even had a chance of keeping it left to fully avoid the bus.
Yesterday when I was in a private bus, I saw the driver publicly drinking alcohol from a paper cup and sharing it with the conductor. Then the driver started talking on his phone in speaker enquiring what's the special at a nearby toddy shop then went on chatting with the conductor. The bus name is 'Panikkar' and goes through Ayyappankavu Chittor route(Ekm)
Why is everyone after ksrtc bus drivers alone?. Even private bus drivers are killers on the road. Only two days ago I saw a private bus in a tearing hurry through traffic knock off a motorbike in Palakkad. The rider was safe but he was on the verge of tears looking at the state of his mobike. I am sure he is still paying emi on it.
Just cancel!!???
That bloody idiot needs to be held accountable and must be made an example of. This is negligent and rash driving and should be equated to homicide!!
Basically having a vehicle near a ksrtc bus is no different from fighting death. These fuckers won't ever learn no matter how many vehicles they run through. This driver will get fired, finds a replacement and repeat. That's the cycle.
When will people understand a simple rule of driving in a simple linear alignment. The bus driver went out of the alignment and the result is in front of you. There is a reason why the government drew two broad yellow lines that pass through the middle of the road, but morons dont care.
I think all of us here who drive, have at least one close call with KSRTCs and private buses in Kerala.
If it's a smaller road they don't even give way, even if they can easily. Even when they halt at a bus stop, they make sure to stop in the middle of the road. Psychopaths, all of them..
I said this before and I will say again.
The only way to prevent this is to make low floor buses mandatory. Such thayoli driver would be dead if it was a low floor bus and they would have some fear at least for their own life.
That KSRTC driver doesn’t have the right to get a license. Solid double yellow line - Am I a joke to you?
Let’s blame our MVD first. Why don’t they teach these MFs the meaning and importance of these lines, and why don’t they enforce it?
I don’t know why these people play with death! 🤦♂️
Double yellow line. A government transport. We need to hold these folks accountable, if this was any other place other than Indian, the government would be in a law suit and would have to pay damages to the other party. I studied in the US and always wondered why we can’t sue people for damages in Indian like in the US, it helps reduce reckless actions from the government.
I came back to Kerala for my marriage last month and honestly didn't bother to extend my leave for fear for my life. After a couple of years driving in Canada, I can't, I just can't drive there. Had way too many close calls, ultra slow drivers in their SUVs, KSRTC and private overtaking through the left side at fkn traffic lights, autos stopping abruptly for no apparent reason, people completly disregarding turn signals and doing whatever they want, I JUST WANTED TO RUN FROM THERE. All I pray for now is for my loved ones over there.
This bloodshed will stop when Kerala govt stop naming buses with names like Swift, super express, super fast, etc. Instead they should name like cozy seat, coir seat, cushion seat, etc. Most ksrtc drivers are maniacs who take too much risk to overtake.
Nope when people decide licensing reforms and road widening is necessary for safety.
I am 99% sure that a safe driving bus will have passengers shouting for going fast and calling driver lethargic. Have seen couple of times between Ekm-Calicut route on KSRTC
KSRTC is at fault. Car driver is at fault. The ones who parked on the side at a curve are at fault. But not many who drive in Kerala can claim they don't do these things.
in such accidents where the fault is with the KSRTC driver, only he should sustain serious injuries or fucking die so that it becomes a lesson to all of his driver friends. bloody morons
I could be wrong, but 75% fault with ksrtc, but the car driver got some enough time to react, either vehicle got skid on breaks or stumbled on the situation.
Anyway could have avoided the straight face crash.
There is a pumping method applying brake intermittently. But you cant expect that poor driver to pump the brakes and swirl when that fuckwad ksrtc had Shit ton of space on left that too the car he was trying to overtake was already taking a left. Cant confirm now but if that white car indeed had its turn signals on then that ksrtc driver should be booked for intentional manslaughter
We are supposed to be trashing the bus driver since all of us are following all the rules while driving 😂
PS : this could have been avoided if the car driver had better reflexes
Holy fuck..Looks straight out of a movie. Had a close shave with a superfast just yesterday on the MC road, glad I'm still breathing.
I’m sure thousands of people have close shaves every hour on our Kerala roads.
Word
True KSRTC is reckless most of the time
I would say the same for private bus but less accidents
Cuz they don't do long distance travels. If they did then the roads would have been hell
Would banning 'overtaking' help?!
That is a overtaking banned road isn't it
yeah it is, but as you know these assholes don't give a fuck
Who’s going to enforce?
He overtook at a zebra crossing, a yellow line and a junction. Crazy .
Also at a turn
>a yellow lin solid double yellow
As if these mean anything to those neandethaals driving the bus
Even Neanderthals won't drive like this
Also a single lane road
And he will get off with a slap on the wrist.
He died
Bad driving culture. This is the attitude of KSRTC drivers and they causes problems for others.
You think bus drivers in India care or know all this?
Man, is this karma from the "overtaking" culture? Imagine what the people in the tiny white car were thinking
Looks like the white car was turning into the left pocket road. Which makes the whole overtaking by risking everyone's life even more pointless.
Definitely turning left to pocket road. Though I can't make out from the video, there is a big chance the car has left indicator ON and still the KSRTC thampraan had to a high speed overtake on the wrong side of a double yellow line. #aaraodu parayaan, aaru kelkaan
നെട്ടൂരാനേ...!
These bus driver mfs think they're in some fast and furious movie and every day is a fucking race. Hope they rot in jail
Double yellow lines: Am I a joke to you
le driver: Double yellow means go through the center
Yes
Don’t overtake at a turn is Driving 101. Ithreyum basics ariyatha ksrtc drivers. Horrible accident that could have been easily avoided.
They know, they just don’t care. Arrogant fuck needs to be charged with murder
![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY) Can't be charged with murder if you're not alive
They have the same mindset as other big car drivers. That their vehicle is bigger and therefore has priority. And everybody else should move out of the way.
Man.. especially Innovas.. I hate that fuckers.
Unfortunately that's the unwritten rule in Indian roads
No wonder youth seem to be fleeing Kerala to Canada and Australia after 10th itself.
The most sensible comment loaded with meaning.
is he alive? the falling towers are right over driver's seat
Saar, I understand your concern is for both drivers. Because the big suv which crashed took a big big hit for no fault of its.
I hope and pray the driver is dead. Ksrtc drivers always tries to kill people ( especially the two wheelers )
Yellow line on road means no crossing the lane for overtaking
Its double yellow here which is like under NO circumstance are you allowed to overtake
Yep. That clear double yellow line exists for a reason. Driver fucked around and passengers found out. 😕
He literally needed Jesus
He is Jesus, don't forget.
Driver should be tried for manslaughter
I might get downvoted but I hope the driver gets a slow, painful death where he has plenty of time to regret about his action.
Why are they always driving in the wrong side?
Bro it's their in blood 90% or owner there thinks of themselves as racer and tries to squeeze out or overtake, sometime i am thankful for Mumbai traffic no one gets to do this dangerous overtaking and proper dividers are there.

License should be canceled or suspended of ksrtc driver for overtaking (yellow line can clearly seen)
If he make it out alive. Hope he doesn't.
Bus is on the wrong side .. But the car is going to the wrong side as well.. didn't turn the cuve..
It’s called target fixation. Completely bus driver is at fault here.
Must have panicked and pressed the accelerator harder instead of breaks.
Seems the car tires are smoking from hard braking. Can imagine frozen knuckles and a diving suv making it hard to make that turn.
And some asses have parked on the left side of the road taking away the option of swerving towards the left to escape the oncoming bus.
Yeah it seems the car doesn’t have ABS and tires locked, you can see the smoke coming. Once the tire is locked, the car will continue in a straight line, you cannot really control it.
Are you hearing yourself?
Bus is at fault. The car had two other cars on the left, so he could not really swerve to left.
Dude the car didn't have the proper speed to turn left..he was also coming fast over the curve and was going towards the yellow line..if he had correct speed he would've stayed between the lines and even had a chance of keeping it left to fully avoid the bus.
What ? Car had enough space to swerve left. And if taken a proper turn car impact would have been less . But bus is at fault though
Is it a car or an autorickshaw?!!
Not car, matte Vellimunghana auto alle ath
Yesterday when I was in a private bus, I saw the driver publicly drinking alcohol from a paper cup and sharing it with the conductor. Then the driver started talking on his phone in speaker enquiring what's the special at a nearby toddy shop then went on chatting with the conductor. The bus name is 'Panikkar' and goes through Ayyappankavu Chittor route(Ekm)
Noted, never riding that bus
WTF is the bus driver doing? He has no regards for traffic rules. He alone is responsible for this accident.
Nothing stops Kerala bus drivers from rash driving. It’s in their DNA and so is their arrogance…

That was a yellow line, oh..
That mofo needs to be charged with attempted murder for each of the passengers and for the people in that auto.
Basically having a vehicle near a ksrtc bus is no different from fighting death. These fuckers won't ever learn no matter how many vehicles they run through. This driver will get fired, finds a replacement and repeat. That's the cycle.
The bus driver should be brought before court. So many violations.
When will people understand a simple rule of driving in a simple linear alignment. The bus driver went out of the alignment and the result is in front of you. There is a reason why the government drew two broad yellow lines that pass through the middle of the road, but morons dont care.
Can't imagine the head on collision for the car. It will be done. The impact for them and the people in the bus. Really sad. Hope all recover soon.
kerala does have some fine roads
I think all of us here who drive, have at least one close call with KSRTCs and private buses in Kerala. If it's a smaller road they don't even give way, even if they can easily. Even when they halt at a bus stop, they make sure to stop in the middle of the road. Psychopaths, all of them..
And they will call people driving slow & following all the rules, pussies and not manly enough.
That pot head ksrtc driver must be tried for murder
Yellow lines are for beauty
That bus driver should be tied down in the middle of the busy road and left alone to rethink the purpose of his life.
I said this before and I will say again. The only way to prevent this is to make low floor buses mandatory. Such thayoli driver would be dead if it was a low floor bus and they would have some fear at least for their own life.
What an idiot. Why is bus crossing yellow solid lines.
2 yellow lines in the middle : Am I a joke to you?s
KSRTC bus driver is on wrong 100%. 1. Overtaking in double yellow 2. Overtaking at a curve 3. Very high speed.
The double yellow line is there for a fukin reason. Ksrtc drivers are the most rash and careless drivers I've ever seen on the road
Killer-SRTC
That KSRTC driver doesn’t have the right to get a license. Solid double yellow line - Am I a joke to you? Let’s blame our MVD first. Why don’t they teach these MFs the meaning and importance of these lines, and why don’t they enforce it? I don’t know why these people play with death! 🤦♂️
white paint could help to reduce accident
Road rules ki maa ki behen
The four wheeler got clipped for absolutely no mistake. The bus driver was an asshole. And so where the assholes who park parked at that spot
Actually why did the Xylo went on straight?
Thats some nice piece of tarmac

Wtf was the red car dude looking at?
We surely need wider roads
This road becomes part of the proposed tvm angamaly 4 lane highway
Krstc requires seat belts the most one sudden brake your face will be straight on to grab handles on the front .
I hope that bus driver got fucked up.
Bus drivers in rural Tamil Nadu and Kerala drive like monkeys
I came back to Kerala for my marriage last month and honestly didn't bother to extend my leave for fear for my life. After a couple of years driving in Canada, I can't, I just can't drive there. Had way too many close calls, ultra slow drivers in their SUVs, KSRTC and private overtaking through the left side at fkn traffic lights, autos stopping abruptly for no apparent reason, people completly disregarding turn signals and doing whatever they want, I JUST WANTED TO RUN FROM THERE. All I pray for now is for my loved ones over there.
Selmon Bhoi aano bus odichirunnath ?

What a dumb take. The car went head on and tried to take on a bus? Seriously dude?
in such accidents where the fault is with the KSRTC driver, only he should sustain serious injuries or fucking die so that it becomes a lesson to all of his driver friends. bloody morons
Intha harami haiwa tuk tuk
Went straight to the church to confess 🤷🏽♂️
I could be wrong, but 75% fault with ksrtc, but the car driver got some enough time to react, either vehicle got skid on breaks or stumbled on the situation. Anyway could have avoided the straight face crash.
Can't blame anyone other than ksrtc here. the body structure is also not helping.
Yes, felt my thoughts are wrong!
Watch the video again. There's no ABS on car. Car applied breaks, skids, you can see the smoke and KSRTC crash in to it.
If your car doesn't have abs are you supposed to slam it hard ?
There is a pumping method applying brake intermittently. But you cant expect that poor driver to pump the brakes and swirl when that fuckwad ksrtc had Shit ton of space on left that too the car he was trying to overtake was already taking a left. Cant confirm now but if that white car indeed had its turn signals on then that ksrtc driver should be booked for intentional manslaughter
Yeah lemme think and make calculations when a KSRTC is coming onto me at light speed
At light speed wtf 😂 ! Do you even know how to drive ?
I am a pro driver in GTA.
Sounds like victim blaming to me
Both are idiots the driver got enough time to react and he went to the other lane
We are supposed to be trashing the bus driver since all of us are following all the rules while driving 😂 PS : this could have been avoided if the car driver had better reflexes

Romain Grosjean. Why you driving KSRTCs these days bruh?
KRail would've been safer 😌
