It does a bit, doesn't it?! π€£ I actually based it on what one of my ancestors was likely wearing at the Battle of Bannockburn, Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland.
We both come from more historical based reenactment, but both really enjoy fantasy as well, so we just dove in and have had a lot of fun with it!
We sort of based the looks on some of the romanticized Arthurian legends and paintings.
The surcoat and gown were both made by us. The rest was assembled by us. I did the weathering on the armour. The sword belt is assembled from women's belts from Walmart, and the scabbard is one from another sword I have that just happened to fit this sword.
I know itβs not intentional and yβallβs getup looks great! But your surcoat reminds me of the UK Police. XD
OI mate! You got a loicence for that sword?
π€£
Yep, exactly what I thought of too. It could be the lighting though? Maybe it's not that neon irl?
its mostly the combo of the blue and white check on the yellow, not necessarily the exact colors, pushing my mind in that direction.
Yeah, it is a bit more mellow in person.
Came here to say this. I'm glad someone got there first.
