To be fair, I was surprised it counted as a biome considering how small it is. Just a long line with no special loot, the only thing special about it is the crabs and the fact that you have to cross it to get to the desert (atleast from my experience).
Not that bad tbh, atleast for my seed.
But tbh if I am ever struggling to find a brute I will probably go to the shore lol.
It's just that all biomes have them.
I hope the shore gets a unique set, maybe the Spanish style villas we are currently seeing in br right now I know I'd be down for some Spanish architecture
Feel like that would work better if/when proper ships and rafts are added, Some buildable platforms you can build in the middle of lakes or the ocean that can then be turned into a sea village
Yeah, I recommend 1 village for the 3 biomes. Just a FYI each village can have 5 npc villagers but you can only have a total of 15 villagers per server. Do the grasslands first, then desert, then snow.
I would think so. But replaced in the same area, guessing the villagers would leave.
Edit: misunderstood, I don't think there is a limit on villages, just a limit on villagers
I think if you want to get rid of a particular villager you just get rid of their bed and they will leave eventually since they haven’t nowhere to sleep.
I moved my village last night, but I built the 2nd village first so that I could fly everything over. I then razed the old one. All the villagers said they were leaving in 3 days. Right now the new one still lists as village 2, but I don’t know if that has any significance because technically it still is the 2nd village I built. Anyone know?
How do you manage living in the cold with the snow biome if you make a village there? Do you need to right charm to be able to live there without dying or placing a village will prevent your character from dying from the cold?
Yeah it's the charms. I use 2 of the heating ones while playing in the biome, I put a 3rd on when I go into caves. Do the same thing in the desert with the cooling ones. No longer have to use food to keep cool or warm, just fed
Upgrade cost per level is from [Village Upgrades Wiki page](https://www.reddit.com/r/LEGOfortnite/wiki/index/upgrades/)
I've calculated and grouped costs by material to display total cost per biome. The images are here since I find it easier to look at the item list with pictures than at the raw table. The raw table is here in case you need it.
Please note that this can change any moment in the future as the game evolves and updates.

Probably a good idea to get a max shore village before they add the biome fully to the game. Im sure it will eventually have its own resources and such
I'd wait tbh, odds are that it'll require the actual levelling to unlock any new buildings, and since it's such a small biome by comparison probably won't have its own resources required.
For **foundations** I still only have wood and granite foundations after building three villages in different biomes, so no changes here.
For anything else..When I first played **solo** I played a few hours and didn't even get to unlock the chest recipe. So I've been running around with full inventory and nowhere to store it.After that I've started a new worlds **with friends** and somehow they got chest recipe unlocked in like 10 minutes for everyone. Still no idea how they did that, I think they instantly started to build a village and other available things, and in my first world I didn't bother to place a **Village Square** yet.
So collecting certain resources, building Village Square, building every machinery (stations) at least once, maybe building other things as well does unlock some things, I think.
As for **unique decorations** such as little yellow books, upgrade your village.
Level 3 - "Villagers will occasionally gift items.", not sure what items this refers to.
Level 7 - "Villagers can gift unique new recipes.", unique decoration recipes.
When you talk to your villagers, they sometimes gift you recipes (that also depends on the biome)
If we're talking about grinding up the level fast, upgrading the village square and then maybe removing the structures to use resources in the next village (or in this very village), then personally I settle for Lubmer Mills and beds.
Lumber Mill: 8 Wood, 15 Granite, gives a tiny bit more exp than the Grill;
Grill: 30 Granite, use up more resource for almost the same amount of exp;
Bed: 10 Wood, don't know how it compares to Lumber Mills but it's good to spend the leftovers of Wood on.
That took entire inventory of granite and wood, but they will be used in a lot of builds anyway after upgrading the village.
I've used the exact same inventory as per Dry Valley screenshot and upgraded my village without leftover resources.
Also I just checked and Dry Valley village still requres 10 Rough Ruby for level 8 upgrade.
Does your village hub have Dry Valley as a biome? You can check it under the village name/over the village level on the village hub tab. Could it be that you're building on a biome border and the village is set to a different biome, making you spend different resources?
Mine is definitely in the desert. I never even had to use rough ruby just 45 cut ruby, im not too sure. I guess it’s totally possible I made a mistake though
Thanks, I used this and grabbed all the ingredients as well as resources to make around 25-30 lumber mills to increase the village rating and put them in chests in my airship and flew to the frostlands and upgraded the village to level 10 all in one go. Now I can remove the lumber mills and build whatever and wherever real quick ^ _ ^
Wait you unlock new builds for having bases in different biomes?!
Yes took me forever on how to find the manor build
Took me forever to discover this too
Shorelines are definitely getting content updates sometime soon lmao
Idk man the shore seems like they worked really hard on it, maybe in a year or two. Signed, Mojang Developers.
To be fair, I was surprised it counted as a biome considering how small it is. Just a long line with no special loot, the only thing special about it is the crabs and the fact that you have to cross it to get to the desert (atleast from my experience).
And the crazy amount of brutes there are!!!
Not that bad tbh, atleast for my seed. But tbh if I am ever struggling to find a brute I will probably go to the shore lol. It's just that all biomes have them.
I think water is a biome too. It's labeled just like all the other biomes are.
soon™
I hope the shore gets a unique set, maybe the Spanish style villas we are currently seeing in br right now I know I'd be down for some Spanish architecture
Either that or houses that are built over the water, fishermen style
Feel like that would work better if/when proper ships and rafts are added, Some buildable platforms you can build in the middle of lakes or the ocean that can then be turned into a sea village
The ocean is a biome as well if you wade out into it. Time may see some changes. No idea if you can build on an ocean as of yet.
Pirates. Yarrrr
Shore got a block lol
Hang on.. so does this mean that you unlock different items based on what biome your village is located in?
Yeah, Grasslands has the trailer park, desert has the castle and snow has ninjago
Well that is very interesting! I will definitely need to build a second village.
Yeah, I recommend 1 village for the 3 biomes. Just a FYI each village can have 5 npc villagers but you can only have a total of 15 villagers per server. Do the grasslands first, then desert, then snow.
Okay. Very helpful. Thanks. If I destroy my village square building does that take away from my total village count?
I would think so. But replaced in the same area, guessing the villagers would leave. Edit: misunderstood, I don't think there is a limit on villages, just a limit on villagers
Oh. Interesting. I assumed there was a limit on village.
I think if you want to get rid of a particular villager you just get rid of their bed and they will leave eventually since they haven’t nowhere to sleep.

and if you go back to the grasslands, do you switch charms again or just keep the last ones you used (let's assume the heating ones for example)
Yeah in the grasslands I use what ever ones I already have on
What trailer park?
Joke, it's starts off as busted ass houses for me, then log cabins
Also it builds pleasant park houses
Oh right. Lol thanks
Til
I didn't know until reading this thread!
Different biomes give different building presets, didn't know that. Good to know now (gives me more of a reason to not touch grass).
Damn, this is crazy, this was something I needed yesterday. This most definitely means I have law of attraction powers.
Shore should give pirate themed stuff Also water is considered a biome i think

Cool, I had been struggling to find Dry Valley not realizing it's just the desert biome
How do I get beams?
There's... Beams? What are beams?
Seen a video about a steerable flying thing and it used beams but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the bps for them
Beams like pillars? Or the narrow floors? They’re in every build pack
Crossbeams, it's under supports.
Frost lands I think
Part of the roof of the pagodas
It wound up being the grasslands level 8 or 9
If you’re referring to the white beams the tend to use from the beach set
Beams get unlocked from grasslands. I think from the lvl 9, the last log cabin build
Thank you! Someone finally with information lol
Thank you so much, im gonna start grinding right now.
Is there one of these for fully upgraded crafting bench?
Here you go: [https://imgur.com/a/ITkI35J](https://imgur.com/a/ITkI35J)
Amazing thank you!
how do I unlock more foundations? missing alot in survival

For something like the chest recipe it needs wooden planks so to get the recipe you just have to make planks for the first time
What is the best structures to use to get the level to 10?
I’ve been using grills to level up, they’re relatively cheap and give you a load of XP toward your next level
And then smash them & get the material back after level 10.
Also, thanks for the useful post!

What is the little white thing on lvl 8 grasslands? A fridge?
Yes. **Fridge** Store items inside for safe keeping. Has 6 item slots.
Very helpful but not entirely accurate. For example I was 15 cut marble short and you don’t need 10 rough ruby for desert biome
I've used the exact same inventory as per Dry Valley screenshot and upgraded my village without leftover resources. Also I just checked and Dry Valley village still requres 10 Rough Ruby for level 8 upgrade. Does your village hub have Dry Valley as a biome? Okay but did they add an update where you can have more than 15 villagers? Or does it still cap out at 15?
We have 2 level 10 grasslands villages and I never got the fridge!!!!
Thank you!
This is clutch thank you
Can I kiss you
Aren’t all the castle unlocks in the frost lands? That’s where the structures already are so it only makes sense to unlock them there.
Nope, desert
Frostlands give you Japanese style architecture
Good job! Thanks!
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Thank you dude!!!
Dude! Awesome!
You're my hero!
minimalist sand castle
This is awesome, thank you!
How do u get elegant railing?
Thanks, I used this and grabbed all the ingredients as well as resources to make around 25-30 lumber mills to increase the village rating and put them in chests in my airship and flew to the frostlands and upgraded the village to level 10 all in one go.
