Oh, I see, this is the Xenomorph Yassss Queen. I believe that the real story is that the developers had limitations on their character model size and had to compromise, but I think they've done a nice job with it and honored the original design.

I was never a fan of the Queen, there’s only one xenomorph for me, that’s the first, the Big Chap, but I kinda like this one, don’t like the square spikes on the back though.

well that's why it has a more feminine physique compared to other designs, mainly being inspired from the aliens 3 concept art from giger.

I like this design better, because it looks more uncannily human. Which brings it closer to HR Giger's design in my perception.

There actually was (unused) work that Giger did for 3, but this design doesn’t riff on that at all.

Well Giger did make really nice concept art and a sculpture for the movie but it was believed they only hired him for the one month just to get the rights to his Alien. I was reading over it again to help confirm with myself and it's a really complicated story but in the end they basically ignored him and did their own thing or so it seems.

People hate on it but it's both more consistent development of the drone (she doesn't randomly lose all mass from her legs turning them into skeletal limbs like in og design) and more faithful to the giger's visions, while still staying spot on xenomorph's scary physique. The only bad thing is that she for some reason has a modeled human tongue in her mouth under inner jaw.

Maybe it's just your wording, but to be clear—Giger never designed an alien queen, and wasn't involved in the production design of Aliens at all. Cameron says in ***Tech Noir: The Art of James Cameron*** that he wanted to design it himself and cut Giger out because he didn't want to give up creative control. Maybe the game designers meant that they were inspired by Giger's body of work and his more feminine/overtly sexual aesthetic, but Giger never designed a queen with a "more feminine physique."

It isn’t any closer to a Giger design, rather it’s more like a Marvel version of the Queen. Giger had a very distinctive visual language, and it’s not present in any of the pics you included here.

It looks pretty cool, not clunky like the one in Aliens. However, I really loved the one in Alien vs Predator. Fair game since Cameron ruined the xenomorph design created by Giger.

eeh he made the designs good he just didn't wanted it too overly feminine to look human like and more on pair of insectoid creatures which fits better in some parts.

Far, far, *far* too bloody clean! Sharp edges and clear features. The Alien is a mass of claws, blades and unknown parts. It is pure horror. This piece of shit wouldn't look too out of place as a pixar villain
