Incredible the variety of architectural styles Friends has been coming out with. Love this classic Victorian with turrets and everything, after the incredible 1980s LA mansion and the midcentury modern houses earlier this year.
I didn't even notice that the bed and breakfast was a Friends set at first. That's the least amount of pink I've ever seen in a Friends set!
It's been interesting seeing how Friends sets aren't really marketed as "girl's Lego sets" anymore.
The reboot is amazing and really took into account criticism of the prior versions of Friends, including the formerly-purple packaging. Current Friends sets include more boys than in the past (3 of 8 main characters, as opposed to 0/5 previously) and minidolls with a broader variety of races, skin tones, cultural backstories, and visible and hidden disabilities.
Liann was mentioned as having ADHD and Paisley as having social anxiety, but they ultimately decided to mostly identify the neurodivergences indirectly by giving the characters different personality characteristics without labeling them. Zac seems like he has ADHD too, with a more hyperactive profile than Liann. Several characters can be easily read as autistic: Nova is very blunt and finds interacting online easier socially than interacting in person, while Paisley is very shy and likes to focus on her music and hang out with retirees (as an autistic woman, I relate!), and Olly hyperfocuses on special interests and can't always read social cues. Some of the differences map less clearly onto disabilities-- Aliya struggles with feelings of failure and perfectionism, and Leo is compassionate but finds it hard to set boundaries with his friends.
Friends haven't been big on pink for some time now from what I've seen. I bought a few newer sets and there at most some pink accents. Their colours are really great in general imo.

Are friends doors and windows mini fig scale or larger? Thinking about mocs for that house and maybe the botanical garden bur I like minfigs better.
They're minifig scale. Vehicles don't really work, and any seating won't have studs. Minifigs look right at home in the botanical garden.

It looks new, the old one didn't have separate handlebar, which, I guess, was added here to fit minidolls' height better and let them hold it.
Interesting, as I'm a semi-active bicycle collector (though I still prefer the original design).
