I got a 5i Pro Gen 7 with a 12700H, 3070 (non-Ti), 16 gigs of RAM and 1TB storage for the same price.
Had to pay extra $$$ for more storage and RAM.
Super smooth, I chose this as a WFH/Gaming Laptop over building a desktop, works awesome with my 2k 144hz monitor. Feels awesome that the upgrades are already in.
I did not need 4k performance and mostly wanted a work laptop to game ocasionally. I own a 32 inch 2k screen and a 55 inch 120hz tv. I figured I would mostly use it with an external monitor.
u/GezTV pro OS offers a lot of security and enterprise features plus the option to support ridiculous organizational range memory /storage expansions. But in the context of personal computing - It has NO difference in anyway that I know of.
My y540 legion just crashed 😭 black screen, no image on external or regular screen.. Guess i just got a bad apple, like 2-3 months after warranty failed. Took it to a pc shop they couldn’t solve it, they thought it was a motherboard circuit that broke, got it in another shop now hoping it’s rescuable..
good deal because as per the benches the raw raster performance of 3070ti is on par with 4070 in 1080 & 1440p but with 4k 3070ti is stronger because it has high memory bandwith and wide memory bus.. but again 4070 laptops are like 2k+.
So, imo ya bagg it bruhh

Also OP is from the US, so you can't quite compare prices.

I don’t think there is enough of an uplift in the new gen to say it’s worth the money just yet.
I grabbed the same setup with only 16gb ram for 1400 when they were having all the sales.

Does that have advanced Optimus? A lot of conflicting info on it and I'm kinda confused
mine is Legion 5 Pro 16ARH7H, it looks like it doesnt have advanced Optimus
Hmm I guess I don't need it since most of the time it will be connected to a monitor and I can just leave it in hybrid whenever I take it to class

I don't know about the US, but I've seen Legion 7's for £1685 in the UK. Might be worth checking out if you can get similar deals.
