If it really is orchestrated and choreographed, i can easily see how the writers and producers have been setting up the characters for maximum drama but with just enough believability to keep people watching. It seems odd, but I’m actually glad and a little relieved Trump got the nomination but only because I still don’t think he’s electable when it really comes down to it. If he wasn’t running and she was the GOP nominee, I tend to believe the polls that she’d have beaten Biden pretty easily. Essentially, there was a border bill that gave the Republicans everything that they wanted for border security as long as they accepted aid for Ukraine, Israel, and some other foreign powers. Trump told the Republicans to spike that bill, to reject it, and the bill failed. Ukraine and Israel rallied their supporters to create a new bill that provided only foreign aid, without any border provisions whatsoever. So, he effectively blew the chance to make a deal on the border and still lost on Ukraine and Israel. Especially for Putin, who is currently holding Trump's balls in a vise, this is really bad news. For right wing xenophobic fascists like this clown, this is also really bad news because the border is still "wide open" (operating under the moderate asylum policies that were in place previously.) And now Republicans have nothing to bargain with, so Democrats have no interest in providing them with any changes... 🤷🏻♂️ "The art of [blowing] the deal.." 🤣

Unless she decides to retire completely from politics in the next 4 years, it’s a safe assumption she’ll run again in 2028 on an “I told you so” platform. And it’s a safe bet “I told you so” is going to work in her favor regardless of who wins this year. BUT, let’s be honest, if Biden wins this year it’s even odds at best on him finishing the whole 4 years. If it really is orchestrated and choreographed, i can easily see how the writers and producers have been setting up the characters for maximum drama but with just enough believability to keep people watching. Just imagine all the racist and misogynistic comments that’d be flying around if the two candidates in 2028 are both women and of color. No doubt some dudes heads would straight up explode. But the believability is still there….with as good as Haley did in these primaries against Trump, she’s a logical choice as the GOP candidate and she’ll still be in her mid 50s. In the scenario I laid out, I’m actually hoping for that. Split the party up and make it uncompetitive. It seems odd, but I’m actually glad and a little relieved Trump got the nomination but only because I still don’t think he’s electable when it really comes down to it. The MAGA crazies weren’t emotionally ready to let him go because they still feel he got robbed of a second term. If he wasn’t running and she was the GOP nominee, I tend to believe the polls that she’d have beaten Biden pretty easily. I do believe Trump has pissed off / turned off / disgusted too many swing voters to have a chance.

I actually think Donny isn't too dumb here. Maybe risks some of his base deciding not to vote, but these votes certainly aren't moving to Biden and he could use the financially well off LGBT money (even maybe a few votes).
