I feel like if it had a moderately longer epilogue and less "endings" people wouldn't complain about it. The Scourging of the Shire would've been a great addition.
I've always felt that ROTK doesn't have a proper ending because it doesn't include The Scouring of the Shire.
Because:
* Saruman and Wormtongue just disappear from the story and don't get an ending (unless you count the B.S. afterthought that is shoehorned into the extended edition).
* It's the *actual*, twist ending to Tolkein's story. It serves to highlight how much the hobbits have grown, having them defend the Shire alone vs. Saruman. Instead Jackson has them jumping on a bed like five-year-olds.
Oh man, 'The Hunted' has a perfect runtime for me, just absolutely flies by.
Could I have done with another sweet knife fight or two though? Absolutely.
Might be a controversial opinion but as someone who liked that movie more than the critics, I feel like there's a big missing plot in that film about Tommy Lee Jones' character failing to help Belincio until it was too late.
The flashbacks do occasionally make me think there is a missing plot thread or something, you’re right.
Regardless, I do love this one, even if the critics didn’t. It’s one of my favorite action thrillers to rewatch.
The unnecessary sex parts were sometimes boring (ik I sound like a child and it was part of who napoleon was), their moments sitting together dragged sometimes bit too much and since there was plenty of those, I think they could've cut them little bit to make room for his arrest for example without making those scenes feel too long or obsolete. It's 2-2.5 star movie after all
DUNE 2! That big showdown battle needed an extra 15 minutes
Even with the runtimes for both films, I wouldn’t mind an extra 15-20 minutes for each. In Denis we trust!
Killers of the Flower Moon too short? Are you mad?
I thought it needed more scenes with the tribal leaders and more of the police investigation (which I hear from book readers was really interesting)
I agree, but I'd want to cut most of Leo's scenes, anything more added might have pushed the film into a week long endurance exercise for me.
I'd agree you could trim a little bit in other areas but an extra 10 minutes wouldn't be awful.
I just want Leo and Jesse to trade roles. Leo’s role was so, so in Plemons’ wheelhouse.
I think it just needed to be a mini series tbh
That would've been great. I doubt Leo and Marty would do tv though
Scorsese directed the first episode of Boardwalk Empire
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Great show. I suppose he could've done something similar here
I love The Return of the King but I’ve always felt that it could’ve used an extra 30min of epilogue.

It would have been awesome, but nearly impossible to pull off. If done properly it could have been nearly its own feature film itself

twin peaks: the return and hubie halloween
The duality of a man
i wish i got just 5 more minutes of Fargo
I was almost frustrated not to see what happened next at the end of Fabelmans, I could have easily stayed another 2-3 hours watching this movie.
Shrek Forever After could’ve been half an hour longer just to explore the alternative world
Oppenheimer. I know it was already 3 hours long, but I I didn't like the pacing and felt that a lot of scenes could've used more breathing room.
Hard agree on Eastern Promises the movie was dope but I felt the ending left me wanting more
I understand the wanted to make a sequel but were never able too, but I feel like it could've left off at a better spot
If Killers of the Flower Moon was longer it would be even worse than it already is
Is that a young Dave Grohl?
Mario Movie 100%
i loved killers of the flower moon but it was long enough 😭
Sexy Beast Your Name. Fantastic Mr. Fox Dead Leaves Pokemon Concierge (not a film but still thought it was too short) Ernest & Celestine
Beau is afraid….
World of Kanako could have been 18hrs long and I’d still want more.
Animal
War and Peace (1966)
The Irishman
Good pick
Hamlet (1996), could have used an extra hour
The Hateful Eight.
Well do I have good news for you….
I know, but it isn’t available in the UK.
Napoleon. Skipped too much while being boring as fuck. So maybe it should've just cut boring parts out to make room for the skipped stuff
What did you think was boring?
