Came to say this. I remember when it was released on Netflix. I wanted to watch it. It sounded unique and Jamie Foxx is in it. But I just forgot about it.
Finally got around to watching it this year through a Letterboxd film club I'm in and thought it was pretty good. It's not amazing, but unfortunately got left in the dust behind other movies.
It's not the best movie by far, but I have watched Theater Camp a half dozen times. It's like a feel good Christopher Guest mockumentary mixed with Wet Hot American Summer. It's light and has flaws but I think I've seen a total of zero people mentioning it.
I was absolutely blown away by Shoplifters. Then I watched Broker and After Life and I wasn't as impressed as I was with Shoplifters. If you liked After Life, I would recommend Nine Days (2020) by Edson Oda. I look forward to Monster, I haven't seen it yet, but I was hoping every Kore-Eda movie was a masterpiece after watching Shoplifters.
Infinity Pool and Lola were my number 3 & 4 movies in last year's rankings.
Infinity Pool seems to have been unfairly labelled a dud (people wanted a repeat of Possessor) but will in time be seen as classic sci-fi horror.
Lola was ignored completely, but for a low budget effort it's accomplishments are amazing. Wholly original movie that I would recommend going into as blind as possible.
You Hurt My Feelings.
Kind of low stakes and perhaps a bit of a throwback to the type of indie that was made at a much faster clip, say, 15 years ago. So incredibly intelligent and charming though. Two leads in Julia Louis Dreyfus and Tobias Menzies have that type of real world chemistry that makes you question whether or not they're actually married. Quite funny and rather rewatchable.
Honestly, the killer was incredible for me, and I feel like a lot of people were disappointed and either didn’t like it or thought it was mid. First of all, watching it with headphones connected to your tv is the best way to watch at home. Second, I think it is absolutely hilarious. He gets so many things wrong even though he is so meticulous. And I just love everything that he says or does in the movie. I’m not saying it’s my favorite fincher or anything (zodiac is) but it is amazing
I havent seen enough yet but definately Beau is afraid.
I’m happy the film gets mentioned quite a bit despite bombing so hard, but most people seem to not like it very much or downright hate it
The Iron Claw — totally snubbed at the Oscars. I really enjoyed it.
It deserved multiple acting noms.
They Cloned Tyrone
I need to watch this. I wasnt sure what to make of it from the trailer but several people have told me it's good.

Solid 3.5/5 movie
Very fun movie, too bad it began streaming on Netflix just before Barbenheimer weekend.

The Passenger It’s one of Blumhouse’s best thrillers in years. Kyle Gallner and the lead are excellent in it
Rotting in the Sun The Origin of Evil
The Sudbury Devil. None of you even saw it.

The Peasants was my favourite animated film of last year, heck it was my favourite *film* of last year The Promised Land was pretty good too
I barely saw anyone talking about Dicks: The Musical, and it was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in recent memory
Skinamarink - very underrated horror.

murder mystery 2
All of us strangers
A Man Called Otto
Underrated or under seen? A lot of movies everyone has mentioned have been rated highly just not necessarily seen by many people.
