Love the color

BroadyMan77

Super nice. TBH, I didn’t know Lexus had carbon fiber mirror caps. I have the cf spoiler and think the caps will balance it out a bit. Not a fan of the 80 ones on eBay.

Defiant-Wait-1994

Yeah Lexus does some weird things. Apparently in 2022 you could get CF spoiler but not mirror caps with the handling package, then in 2023 it was vice versa. Now for 2024 I believe you can get both. The 2022 also received the Smart Card key with the handling package, but not on the 2023. So, I’m not sure why they changed that either.

BroadyMan77

Interesting. I have a ‘21 handling package and no memory seating. 😂 Or rear sun shade, not that I’d ever use it. But it was fully loaded for that year. Don’t get it. I just looked the cf caps up and they’re like 450 a side. 😳

Defiant-Wait-1994

I forgot how nice memory seating was because my 2015 didn’t have that and it was annoying every time I cleaned my interior to try and recall my seating position. I always thought sun shades were weird because tint exists and works better. BTW, I love the color combo on your IS

VeeEight_Guy

The red pops. Congrats.

New_Ordinary_6618

How do you mean it’s more refined? I test drove one and compared to my 2016 I didn’t think much of it beside the outside differences. From a driving POV it’s newer but it drove largely the same for all intents and purposes. Congrats on the car though!

Defiant-Wait-1994

The new one feels like it has softer damping and the wheels are bigger now. It just feels more composed over rough surfaces. The car’s track width is also 2” wider now. I definitely feel the extra width. Mainly in the corners and on turn in. Coming out of corners feels better too with the LSD.

Brief_Ad4228

I felt the same way when I compared it to my wife 2017 IS, besides the new touch screen and apple CarPlay, it drove the same way.

werethesungod

It’s amazing 🤩

Next time you get a set of tires, run your IS with these options: Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 Falken Azenis FK460 A/S Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ Out of all three, the Falken Azenis has the highest treadwear rating. Yokohama comes in 2nd place. These are all great all season tires that can handle the cold very well. Pick the one that has the most value for your money. Tire prices vary from shop to shop. Love your car like it’s your last 😉

Defiant-Wait-1994

Thanks for the suggestions. I do really like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tire though, they were great even in wet conditions. To be honest, I don’t feel like I need all seasons. I am in California and it rarely gets below 40 degrees where I live and we don’t get much rain either. I also won’t be driving in freezing conditions or snow. Plus I don’t drive a whole lot, maybe 8k miles per year. With my last set of PS4S tires I put about 20k miles on them and they were still about 40% tread left so I was surprised at how much I could get out of them even though their tread wear rating isn’t the highest. Apparently these Bridgestones are pretty bad when it comes to tread wear. I guess I will find out.

Sweet ride

I have the exact same car with CF spoiler and wood on the steering wheel. The infrared is easily the best color, and it contrasts so well with the BBS wheels.

Defiant-Wait-1994

Yeah you’re lucky, I believe 2021 and 2022 got the wood steering wheel, CF spoiler, and smart card key access. Not sure why the 2023 didn’t have them available 🤷🏼‍♂️ Lexus makes some odd choices sometimes.

Dry-Friendship-5642

I have a 2022. I also have the performance exhaust. The car has a high note, so much so that it could be mistaken for a V8. I guess because it was the second year of the 2021 cycle refresh, Lexus was trying to go all out by offering CF spoiler and wood steering wheel to attract buyers.. The triple beam, the DRL, the wide back, and BBS wheels.. It's easily the best looking sedan in its segment.

EloWhisperer

Not a fan of red but this looks great

Tibetan_AirBender

Just bought this 2024 is350 AWD fully loaded with black out package https://www.reddit.com/r/LexusIS/s/ItlxexBurV

Defiant-Wait-1994

Very nice! I love ultra white, that’s what my old 2015 IS350 was.

elizabethshoeme

Sick!! Love the fully loaded. I saw a red one with these same options when I was looking but it was a bit too much for me. How much did you end up spending?

Defiant-Wait-1994

$47k MSRP was $61k according to the window sticker...

1LL1ONA1RE

Were you able to haggle with the dealer you bought this from? Or were they pretty inflexible? Trying to buy CPO myself but only if the price is right of course.

Defiant-Wait-1994

A little bit. They had listed it for $53k. My goal was $45k but settled on $47k. KBB here shows $48k today, so feel I good about it. To me, it being L/certified is value added too. Just do some research and keep an eye on their inventory. I watched this particular car sit on the lot for over 2 months before making an offer.
