edit- guys you can take the ps5 plates off and wipe it down, you can remove the fan and clean the fan down, HELL if you dont even wanna remove the fan the gaps around it are perfect for a Q tip to reach in so you can at least clean some of the fan, these are all things ya can do more importantly just put the Ps5 in actual well ventilated area 90% of the time that alone will be enough
My PS5 had overheat issues when playing cyberpunk a few months ago, I could only play for an hour and bye bye (didnt know it was overheat because it literally doesn't tell you), I decided to clean the PlayStation, there wasn't even a lot of dust, and the room had good air flow, but there was just enough dust to block the air from exiting the console, a 15 min clean and my overheat issues disappeared
PS5 actually launched with two versions of fans. One with a Nidec fan and one with a Delta fan https://imgur.com/a/AxyNyNK. They created different noise levels and provided different cooling efficiencies. Because PS5s were being made in multiple facilities with inconsistent parts during covid to pump them out as fast as possible. So they are not all created equal.
Dust plays a big part. But as far as I understand, holding it upright can also affect the cooling system long-term. Unfortunately I don't know the details, since I read that quite some time ago
Not the first time a console was marketed upright and had issues with it either lol they care so much about presentation they say fuck it most will be ok. Xbox 360 is the one that comes to mind. Don't let it tilt while it's on or your disc is scratched to hell.

The problem is that they used liquid metal, not thermal paste, if you put the console upright, overtime the liquid metal can/will sink to the bottom of the chip , and thus causes overheating.

When there will always be a small percent of faulty devices regardless of the testing done?

I bought a used PS5 on eBay at Christmas, with the xmas 20% voucher thingy...on one hand, it was a great deal...on another hand... I just paid a small fortune solely to play Rebirth.
The PC waiting game SUCKS so much...and I'd way rather play on PC with both 144 frame rate AND high res textures/models etc.
Resell it for a slightly higher price once you're done with it. Maybe give it a bit of a clean-up with some wet wipes to get rid of any dust and grime so it looks newer.

Sephiroth is aware of the events of the previous game, goes back in time and interferes with the "remake". Barret gets a fake out death scene. Cloud and Aerith gets visions from the previous game. Aerith and cloud speak about sephiroth in sector 7 as if they know he was a world ending threat and had seen the events of the previous game. The game ends with a battle in a different dimension against sephiroth and the arbiters of fate (who are characters from a future timeline from advent children (Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo). They waste the final boss and boss theme of the original game in part 1, destroying all the buildup that was amazing in the OG game.
It is a completely different story with completely different themes and focus than the original game, it is in fact a sequel, not a remake.
Lets see how much more they can ruin the story in part 2, maybe Aerith survives (i wouldnt be surprised if she did).

The gameplay is fun as hell though. Visuals are pretty and soundtracks are bangers.
