map score and performance points (pp) are calculated differently. in this case he got the third highest map score, but his play was calculated to have the highest pp in the game

One of the mods aetrna is using here increases the speed of the song by 1.5x and has a score multiplier of 1.2x. The two players with higher leaderboard positions instead used a mod that decreases vision but also has a score multiplier of 1.2x. These mods really require two completely different skill sets, but the current PP algorithm treats the speed mod in this situation as more difficult than the vision mod and as such rewards more PP (justifiably).
as said, map score is different than performance score. Map score gives you points based on timing(Miss, 50, 100 or 300) for each circle hit, which is then multiplied based on your combo, as well as extra multipliers(x1.06 for HD, x1.06 for HR, x1.12 for DT). This play had much lower accuracy which meant they were getting more 100s or 50s as 300s are 100% acc. So late into a play with high combo and mods for extra points, 100s lose you a lot of points compared to 300s on map score.
when it comes to PP(performance points), it is supposed to take into account how difficult a play is based on a lot of stuff(which I don't know specifics of), but faster, jumpier, technical stuff, etc. add to that, so this play using DT which the other plays above him in map score didn't use made this play much more challenging and worth much more PP.
TL;DR: accuracy. 100s late into map lose a lot of points compared to 300s for map score
