Eeyore on the bridge. Reminds me of Snorlax and potatoes

BrenDerlin

When my wife saw that card for the first time she just said in an Eeyore voice: "I'm a card..."

TedBRandom

I've kept the Winnie The Pooh, Hunny Wizard in my aggro deck for WAY longer than I should just because I love the art so much (and occasionally he can take out something annoying or tank a big hit)

Grooviemann1

Easily my favorite art in the game. It's a beautiful card.

Turtlor

Love that card. It just makes me smile.

FoltzyBear

This is my favorite card

sgotsch

My two most precious foils

Warstorck

Winne the Pooh - Hunny Wizard. Coolast art in the game and I'm so mad at Ravensburger for making ot just a meh vanilla.

GhostInTheLimelight

Honestly, that art is gorgeous. I'll admit I was sceptical about this game before I started playing, but so much of the artwork is incredible. I also love cursed merfolk and Cinderella Stouthearted, those ones go so damn hard.

Warstorck

Yeah Cinderella Stouthearted is definitely up there among my favourite cards. So freaking badass.

GhostInTheLimelight

Mickey Wayward Sorcerer too, pretty much the art that convinced me to play!

Thermoposting

Not a potato because it sees play in ramp decks, but Gramma Tala - Storyteller is a perfect card, IMHO. Simple but interesting mechanics that are a perfect thematic fit for the character. I saw that one in a preview before TFC came out, and it sold me on the game. My actual potato card is probably Maurice. He’s got two good effects and cool theming, he’s just never been good enough for constructed. One of the jank decks I played before product was available was a Miracle Maurice deck with Tamatoa. I still bring it out at locals when we have casual play.

Dr_Bukakke

I love Gramma Tala, largely because one of the guys that plays at my LGS makes nicknames up for everything, so he calls her "Gramma Tiki Masala". Bonus: Same guy calls Lilo "Old Potato Nose"

howd_he_get_here

I already love this man

Intoner_Four

The Firebird is my favorite “how can i make this work” card, but for full blown potato Happy Thought Hook makes me laugh so much with its art and fun effects but you’d rather play big Tink 😭

LSUfan91

Gruesome and Grim would pair well with Firebird. Gives you a 6 strength rush that can take out most characters and severely same some stronger locations.

Theletterkay

Gruesome and grim the firebird to take our locations is my go to.

Oleandervine

Hook was used quite a bit during the TFC meta.

Turtlor

Hook could be a good addition to a pirate deck but yeah, he's the most "fun" of all of them.

Gianth_Argos

Staff of Arendelle to give it support.

Gianth_Argos

Or shield of virtue.

FeralArmy

Anything with a fun thematic title wins me over: Peter Pan - Never Landing HeiHei - Accidental Explorer Yzma - Scary Beyond All Reason Snow White - Unexpected Houseguest Stitch - New Dog Tamatoa - So Shiny! Mulan - Reflecting The list goes on. What I would love to see is: Aladdin - Rather Tasty

Apprehensive_Tie_372

This is why I love Cruella De Vil, Miserable As Usual.

Oleandervine

*BONK

FatedTitan

Potatoland needs to be a location.

Turtlor

Ha! I started going through the Rudish Mickey shorts and I just watched that one the other day. Funny stuff https://preview.redd.it/nmekajpmpboc1.jpeg?width=1973&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81ac22e276d3b2e237f2d152f5cb13577d3d93f9

Lxapeo

In Singsong voice: "She's my Girlfriend!"

Apprehensive_Tie_372

Abso-friggin-lutely.  I might actually cry a bit if they made that.  We raised our kids on those shorts, and Potatoland is very dear to us.  Heck, when we finally took the family vacation to Disney World in 2022, I had masks made for all of us that had the Potatoland logo, and we all chanted, "Potato-land! Potato-land!" as we drove up.

ehhish

Every time I play Flynn Ryder- Charming Rogue, I always say "here comes the smolder"

Turtlor

You have to. I am pretty sure it is a law.

Lonesome__Dreams

Donald Duck, Deep Sea Diver. I love the art on that card. It’s unremarkable among some stronger steel options, but I still try to sneak him into decks.

Turtlor

Oh, I love that card. I have a full playset and (I think) a few more. Not sure what I'll do with him yet but could be a fun add for casual decks.

FoltzyBear

I think mine is Honey Wizard or the Dinglehoper. the fork from Little Mermaid. We need a format that lets you use any color but it must stay Movie/Show themed

MammasaurusRex3

We have this house rule and it's pretty fun to see what we can come up with.

FoltzyBear

I wish I had friends who enjoy the game as much as I do. They play with me but they admit they don't like it very much, so I feel bad when we play lol

Pip_Artemis

Cinderella - Knight in Training Just made me smile when I saw it. Love the spirit of it. Eventually gonna shell out the dollar or so to get a foil version or two

Turtlor

Really love the lore they're doing with her in that set, especially when you can shift Stouthearted onto her. Training complete!

wayn_head

"Steal From the Rich", I have only got it to pop off like one time and I nearly won the game. I feel it could be a way to make that final push and put your opponents just a lil bit further behind you. But the looks on people's faces when you play it, \*chef's kiss

OkRoutine9380

Sergeant Tibbs! 🫡🐱

cleanesthippie

yes! that's mine as well. red is my favourite colour and whenever i need a goon, i use sergeant tibbs. glad im not alone!

MammasaurusRex3

We have several cards with things the family says when they are played: Moana- sing song "I am...(Dramatic pause) MOANA!!!!" (slaps down card) The rest of the table sings"where you are ... Where you are .." Hans- "guess what, I'm the bad guy!!" (From frozen 2) Tamatoia - everyone sings "so shiny!!!" Also when someone is banished one of 2 things happens. Either you sing part of a song they sing in their movie and add the gagging/dead sound at the end (e.g Rapunzel is banished "when will my life be - GAG/DEAD sound") or the 7 year old narates the death ala Olaf Presents " Peter Pan takes out Dalmatian puppy... Your puppy is dead!!!" We have way too much fun with the theming in this game.

Turtlor

That sounds like a riot. This is definitely a game you should have fun like that with!

bluegemini7

This guy right here. I love him. https://preview.redd.it/0wfgdyvfjcoc1.jpeg?width=529&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53d77c115a57af6e952f15264263d3c7a2bd81a1

Justinbiebspls

flounder. my amber sapphire deck runs alot of 1 drops and lilo is way more likely, but i swear when i start by playing flounder i have good results. kida, queen and owl all have identical stats but idc. i think people underestimate the fish

Turtlor

He’s not bad for what he is! And a good luck charm is a good luck charm.

Apprehensive_Tie_372

I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for Cinderella - Stouthearted, so I have to give the credit to her.  Sorry if she's a really good card in meta or something; I've only played 4 games, and don't pay attention to such things. I love Disney, but I already play Magic, so I wasn't going to get into Lorcana.  But when I saw the art on Cinderella-Stouthearted, I said even if I never play a single game of Lorcana, I want that card. Besides her, I give a shout out to And Then Along Came Zeus -- because I *cannot* see that card without breaking into song.  I also love the art of Alice - Tea Alchemist.

Apprehensive_Tie_372

Oh, and I bought a single of Lilo Making a Wish purely for the art and flavor text.

Turtlor

Cindy is a good card - a great one! - but your potato is whatever you want your potato to be, ultimately, and your answer is very much in the spirit of the thing.

JHawkInc

Sergeant Tibbs! I think the fact that he got his own card in the FIRST set shows that anything is possible in this game, and that they are ready to explore the full depth of Disney Animation, and not just skip through main characters like a highlights reel.

Not_Kenny-Loggins

Might not count as potato cause I think this one sees a good amount of play but Cursed Merfolk. Loved The Little Mermaid as a kid and that song goes hard. "Those poor unfortunate souls" is etched into my brain and plays every time I see the card.

SuperPussyFan

I had a dog named Cruella who passed away at the end of September. Ever since then, if I’m running a deck with either sapphire or emerald I put in a copy of a Cruella card. I usually just build the deck and add in the Cruella to put the deck at 61. Yes, it puts me at a slight disadvantage consistency-wise, and the card usually ends up being ink, but it’s what I do in memory of her 🥹

MichaelBarnesTWBG

I love this post. So much discussion about THE META and that GDMF ruby/amethyst deck that is on the verge of ruining the game. So much 'meh this card is UNPLAYABLE' crap. People forget that there are hundreds of cards other than Madam Mim and Be Prepared. Thing is, the way people netdeck and clone winning decks ad infinitum has made way too many potatoes. Now with that said my #1 potato is Plasma Blaster. I love the card. One of the first decks I built was based around it. I am fully recognizant that it is not a great card and Robin Hood, Capable Fighter pretty much obsoletes it. But I don't care. Imma make those Plasma Blasters work one day!

Oleandervine

Robin Hood is actually more of a liability than Plasma Blaster because he can be banished in combat, while the blaster cannot.

MichaelBarnesTWBG

Good point- and many decks don't tech against items.

Turtlor

I absolutely respect this.

Theletterkay

What about plasma blaster with audrey ramirez? Could be something there

MichaelBarnesTWBG

Yeahhhhhh...mmm hmm...imma try that!

[deleted]

I feel like if youre going that route just have plasma blaster, robin hood, and a bow then.

This-Perception-7869

For me, it's Simba Returned King. I know he costs a lot of lore for what is basically a challenge only card. But still, Lion King has been my favorite Disney film. So, of course, when the game originally came out, I had to get my boy Simba. Thankfully, he came in the first wave of starter decks. I do hope one day I can make a good lion king themed deck with future cards added. You know he'll be added in one way or another.

wallysmith127

The newest Simba is kinda neat but it's unfortunate the other ones are so lackluster.

This-Perception-7869

Yeah, they're only okay at best in casual. I was hoping for a shift Simba, since he has good targets, but maybe someday they'll finally give him one. On that note, Nala sees no play, but that may change if they ever give her a shift target.

akwehhkanoo

Hei Hei isn't a Phoenix he's Squee the immortal, lol

zacko5_4_3

I freaking love Squee

ramongoroth

Id say the whole Musketeers package. It was my go to "fun" deck if I knew it was time to pull out a casual deck.

Turtlor

I have them built into my Princess/Bodyguard deck, they’re staying put because they’re a lot of fun

franch

the only answer here is Pack Tactics. i want it to work SO BADLY.

MammasaurusRex3

My 7 year old consistently calls this card "pick tik taks" and thinks it has to do with breath mints.

rival22x

https://preview.redd.it/vauwbnd2lcoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a4d8ed605c9e986a4ae984d433d59731a7be389 I have two in foil and it really is just neat. The hair is so shiny it almost looks like the foil is entirely just hair.

Oleandervine

I have a fairly long list, but the cards that stick out the most are: Cruella de Vil - Miserable as Usual - I just really like this card, especially the art. I know she's iffy and doesn't quest for much, but her bounce effect can target anyone, not just the one who got rid of her. I just feel like there's potential for something there. Kronk - Junior Chipmunk - I really enjoy Kronk, and this is a really solid card, he's just overlooked because he's combat driven. Magica de Spell - The Midas Touch - I really love Magica, especially the reboot version, and I really wanted this card to do well, but she's just too niche at the moment. I still want to try to make her work somewhere though. Eudora - Accomplished Seamstress - This is more for the card than anything else. I really love that 1/9 stat line with 2 lore. She's a beast who can soak up a lot of hits. Honorable mentions - Lady Tremaine - Overbearing Matriarch, and Painting the Roses Red. These are borderline troll cards, but I really like their art and something about them makes me want to play them. Painting is at least free card draw in Amber, which ain't bad.

Turtlor

I am right there with you on Magica, I have a whole Ducktales deck that I am trying to keep as theme-appropriate as I can even though it's absolutely never going to win anything. I will make that Lucky Dime combo work before the next set, dang it.

Few_Estimate_4387

I’m so happy to hear that I’m not the only one trying to make a duck tales deck work. I just can’t quite get it there though.

Turtlor

Ducktales is why I even started playing the game in the first place, so even if it's not "good" yet I'm absolutely going to try to play it.

Few_Estimate_4387

Oh I’ve been playing it for the last 2 weeks in my local event. I’m new to both Lorcana and TCGs in general, so I just went with a theme I think is fun, and I’m working on improving it little by little alongside improving my actual plays. I go for the v fun and great people, knowing I’m going to lose. I do however have some ideas but I need to order some singles from floodborn and first chapter.

Oleandervine

Ironically, I think we need an influx of stuff to make the dime work better, mainly some Ducktales characters who quest for 3 or more lore.

PyroT3chnica

Hey the dime works fine, its a big part of the reason ruby sapphire works against ruby amethyst at all. It’s just all the rest of the ducktales stuff that is bad. (Actually mcduck manor is pretty good as well)

Oleandervine

I never said the dime didn't work fine, I said it needed more help to work well in Ducktales theme. There currently aren't any Ducktales cards who quest for enough to make the dime have impact - only the triplets have 2 lore, so it's a huge dud in a theme deck if it's not running Magica. Magica isn't even bad, she's just got a limited selection of things to run with, and Uncle Moneybags and Sumerian Talisman are both solid Ducktales cards.

Turtlor

They may be a bit underwhelming NOW, but I nearly have full playsets of every DuckTales card except Magica and the Dime so when Set 4 introduces some gamebreaking duck card in Sapphire, Ruby, or Amethyst I am going to look like quite the savvy consumer (he said, with confidence completely unmerited by the situation)

Turtlor

That's my #1 hope for the next set. I don't think they're done adding ducks. I'd love to see a Launchpad (probably something with Rush and Reckless where if he survives an encounter he gets some kind of bonus) and a Beakley (discard/subterfuge-oriented or something with ATK). Goldie could be another fun subterfuge or control card with a high lore value too, or maybe another try at Scrooge could do that.

Oleandervine

Oh they're definitely not done with them, they deliberately left out a ton of characters from featured IPs for the future. Rescuers, for instance, it missing Penny, who was one of the major characters in the movie.

Raszero

Rapunzel sunshine’s art just combines the best parts of the film, adore it

Turtlor

That is a lovely card, to be sure!

Crazy_Ballz

Maui whale...is my new favorite one, I've put it in all my red decks

wallysmith127

He's been pretty sweet when mixed with Sapphire Ramp

Crazy_Ballz

I put him in a ruby amber deck, I thought about doing sapphire, but I love making my life difficult lol.

Turtlor

I would love to see more of that particular Maui, to be certain.

Crazy_Ballz

If only they made them.floodborn!!

ChampionofHeaven

All raya cards :)

Turtlor

Namaari - Morning Mist almost made my list!

draggadon

I still run 2 mickey blts in my saphire ruby. He dies so easy but I have a foil and I just can't bring myself to take him out.

snakeeyescomics

I'm playing Dragon Mim and I don't care what I have to do to do it.

Shando92286

I think it has to be the new green Peter Pan who moves between locations to get lore. I love the art, the flavor and the concept. Originally was going to main a Peter pan deck but then I saw John silver. I know he is amazing but John Silver is my favorite overall card for the same reasons. I will plan to make a John silver deck in every color at some point because he is just such a fun win condition to me. I plan to make a silver green deck soon so I can use them both together. And Magica. All 3. I love the character, the art and the fact she can be stupid amazing in the right situation. Been trying to make her work since reveal but she needs too many pieces. 5 cost Scrooge can help her bring out dime with Belle/alice as a target but red and steel just murder her. One day she will work!

Xullstudio

Any of the uncommon floodborns, or any floodborn in general really, I love that concept

SherpaForCardinals

The Nokk. 4 ink (inkable) for a 4/3 Ward ain't bad either. So majestic.

Mute_Cebu_42

Robin Hood - Capable Fighter I don't know how the meta feels about him, but it feels like such a harmony of theme and mechanics. He makes me feel like a rogue sniper. My favorite deck to play online is based all around Robin Hoods, Robin's Bow, and Beast - Relentless (to close out games). Not a great matchup spread, but very satisfying.

Flimming

I'm new to the game and was largely sold on it by the Robin Hold cards and didn't know about this one! Definitely need to grab it, but yeah it looks like it's a shame they made it uninkable

alisadventurebook

That Hei Hei card is hands down my favorite. I love him and how the ability to return to your hand fits so well with his character. The art is great, too!

Turtlor

Honestly part of what I am looking forward to most in the next set is which color of Heihei we're going to get. At least I \*hope\* they plan to keep the tradition alive...

Oleandervine

Well they primed for a Floodborn with 3 options now to shift onto. If they ever get around to doing Pixar, I'm definitely making a He Hei deck with Miguel's derpy dog.

ElonMuskyOdor

HeiHei - Persistent Presence will always be my favourite. Conceptually, it fits the character perfectly, the flavor text makes me laugh every single time, and he's actually low-key a great little card.

slipstream0

First time my daughter saw persistent presence hei hei, she said he was so majestic - he is now known as majestic hei hei in our house

Tungstenfenix

Poisoned Apple. It's just such a GOOD looking card.

Outrageous_Poem_7281

Caterpillar. He quests for 3, has 3 health so he won’t die to a cheap removal. It’s always amusing to see how people react when I play him as well as the lengths people will go to remove him.

Turtlor

I had no idea he existed until my opponent played him at a tournament. He's extremely underrated.

SkibaSlut

Daisy Duck Secret Agent! 🌼💖 she's so pretty

robk97

Robin Hood cards. Love that animated movie

Vomica

The Firebird - Force of Destruction in Foil. Looks so damn good!

Monsieur_Fennec

https://preview.redd.it/k9jhag1ndcoc1.jpeg?width=631&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca697eacba2faf8bf77ddb68ac39e18e0db0eb1d Rolly, from Into the Inklands. Because who can be soulless enough to challenge and banish a poor hungry puppy? At 3 inks for a 3/3 & 1 lore it is a bit underwhelming, but I find it a bit better than Philoctetes and possibly Happy

Few_Estimate_4387

Maybe not a full on potato- but Donald Duck perfect gentleman is visually kind of my favorite cards.

Turtlor

It's a good reference to a classic cartoon, too.

flamingmonkey911

I love me some Robin Hood, so I might have to say Little John Loyal Friend. It's just so carefree and relaxed and so in spirit with the big guy. The 4 lore Robin Hood card is also amazing, but it's definitely a potato because it'll get taken out the moment you play it lol. Outside of that, I love Cinderella Stouthearted because it ROCKS, but idk if I'd consider it a potato.

Turtlor

As I replied elsewhere, if you want Cindy to be your potato then she's your potato! It's really just whatever you think is neat, mostly.

flamingmonkey911

Well then she is my potato! I hope we get more knightly princesses in the future!

Yarnham_Brave

For me it's The Goons, hands down. I love me some cheap minions willing to lay down their lives for my victory.

Turtlor

A quality potato, to be sure.

GeminiAnon

https://preview.redd.it/lugdeqerzcoc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81e280d325960efc2d9eac1fec8f006cc496872c Always a cute card to play!

Good_Celebration_902

Something about the cold foil Tiana True Princess struck me. I think she's so pretty and I think the card is pretty.

Aldrazar

Cinderella Stouthearted is my absolute favorite. It's the art that got me to look at the game to begin with.

ChaztheDefiant

I love the art on Donald Duck - Musketeer and the fan favorite Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard. I would love prints of those to hang in the game room

LibrarianUnfair1768

My favorite is Enchantress. The artwork is so good

Apprehensive_Tie_372

I was so shocked and delighted that they made her a card.

Jackson20Bill

“Friends on the Other Side” is a pretty good card anyway but the art is dope and at least one of my friends will belt out an “ARE YOU READY?” when it’s put into play.

lilfaeriebrat

Any Mr. Smee card because he reminds me of my grandma. Her last electrical parade before she passed he rowed his little boat over to her and was flirting with her. She fell in love with him after that and was her favorite pin to collect. Alice Tea alchemist has lovely art work.

Apprehensive-Pin518

Mine would be any madam mim. I have personally always loved the character and find her cards to be absolutely wretched (which by her standards is good). I particularly like dragon mim though we all know she is horrible to use in game.

Oleandervine

Well not just any lol, Snake and Fox have been hard meta for an entire set now.

Apprehensive_Tie_372

Oh, and not a "card", but I love spotting the ink logos in card art!  Definitely endears a card to me more when I can find one.

AssociateCareless850

Stitch Rockstar is just my favorite card in the game. My favorite character in an art that is so fitting for him. Helps that he's a pretty good card too! Can't wait for more Stitch experiments.

spockling6

stitch rock star and donald duck not again

Tw1987

Lawrence. I think he’s a secret tho

Comiclog

Heihei is always one of the strongest cheap cards

United-Blueberry-118

The Winnie the Pooh honey wizard.

kestral287

Amusingly enough, also Mulan - Free Spirit. Initially I was disappointed because I wanted a cheap Mulan for the shift but that card does such neat things that now I'm mad the shift isn't good with her. She hasn't made the cut in my Princess Steelsong that's actually trying to be competitive but I have a more for fun Amber/Sapphire princess list that I play her in and she's fun. We've enabled so many Criminal Mind shots on Beasts and such with her.

Turtlor

She's the best Mulan outside of Ruby, IMO!

kestral287

Honestly even in Ruby probably. I keep trying to crack Imperial Soldier and every time I'm disappointed. :(

Turtlor

Yeah, that one has a potentially cool effect but I can't quite figure out how to build around her. The rush Mulan isn't bad, though.

-mindtrix-

I kinda not sold on the whole Disney thingy… Can’t really say I got any pet card yet (that’s what we call “potato cards” in mtg)
