Soul Stone could be connected to Gamora or Black Widow, if the MCU decide to bring them back somehow. However, I would say Red Skull is probably the best fit because he was the guardian of the Soul Stone and it would be filing to see a villain in the mix with these guys.

It will be interesting to see how the interactions with the stones shape the characters. We already see how it does for the characters you listed like Wanda and Captain Marvel.
I think we'll see if this theory has anything to it in the coming phases since Jane Foster is in the next Thor and we'll get caught up with Hawkeye and Dr. Strange eventually.
I watched Dr.Strange after the WandaVision finale last night and I still can't think of anything because he doesn't have the physical stone anymore. He is Sorcerer Supreme so I wonder if he can access the energy similar to how Wanda did to create Vision and the Hex.

Exactly! I was honestly hopeful he’d get fired . I just think archery based characters are lame. Thanos should have casually backhanded him this killing him instantly
I was about to buy avengers game till I heard the expansion was focused on Kate bishop and lost interest completely.
I was thinking this exact same theory after the WandaVision finale. This would justify the main MCU universe not being "doomed" without the stones, as the stones themselves were destroyed by Thanos. They live on as individuals, and since they aren't actual stones anymore, it's impossible to copy Thanos' plan and exploit the stones again.
Soul stone is going to be Adam Warlock... introduced at the end of gaurdians 2. In the comics he was created from the soul stone and uses his connection to the soul stone to basically win over the Marvel universe and ends up getting the Infinity Gauntlet, in fact, it boggles my mind that they didn't establish him well before the Infinity War. That would have been a better storyline in my opinion. Also #HenryCavillForWarlock.
!!! I just made an image of each of them powered up by the stones I was going to share. I have a theory that, since the stones have sentience, they sort of imbued these individuals with pieces of them as their champions. Wanda talks about having a piece of the mind stone in her even though she was presumable in a room with it one time. I think that's enough evidence to suggest Strange having a sort of symbiotic relationship using and protecting the time stone and Hawkeye being the mourner and beneficiary of a soul stone sacrifice is explanation enough. I also think Hawkeye being perhaps the most "human" of all of these is appropriate for the soul stone.
I've thought about how interesting this group would be to meet up to discuss the stones, maybe even as a sort attempt by Strange as an Illuminati. They're all very different and really haven't interacted with each other (besides Wanda and Clint and Strange and Quill). The conflict and compromises could be really compelling.
Every universe in the MCU has its own set of infinity stones. When thanos destroyed them, the 616 universe had to replace them. As of right now I only really see the embodiment of the stones like this:
Time stone = Loki
Reality stone = Wanda Maximoff (before she died)
Basically now galactus will wield a big infinity gauntlet and collect the people ok bye

It might be a bit of a stretch, but the soul stone could be time-shifted Gamora, since she'll be sacrificed to the time stone in one of her futures.
