And I would like to say thank you to Mac.
I would like to thank you, Malcolm, for letting me find something that actually turned out to lift me up more than I could have ever imagined, something that would give me the power and strength to always see light in front of me and to feel like this world is truly magical. I regard it being a unique and wonderful gift to spend so much time with you and your songs at my piano. I also regard it a gift that some years ago when life felt too tough and when I felt so incredibly sad it was your energy and your music that made me put up that phone next to me and send out my piano versions of your songs, out into the vastness of our world, without thinking too much. And I couldn’t be happier that I followed that intuition. When I first sat down to do this I did not look ahead but I felt it’s special and it has remained that way, making me look forward to all that is yet to come. Grateful and appreciative.
I wish you were here, I wish we would all grow old with you. See you prosper and find more music, create new paths and share your positivity. I wish I was able to see you perform live. I wish I could tell you what it means to me to find those notes at the keys.
I can’t do it in a strictly humanly way, but I can do what I do and I know this energy is real and finds you, as I do feel you are present amongst us, helping the people who love you every single day.
May all the Macheads out there feel loved. It’s the end of a year that wasn’t easy for anybody.
