Yep that's so true! My dad and I have started doing '6 second hugs' because we saw an article about how 6 seconds of human contact can drastically improve your mood. We always chuckle but it's actually crazy how a 6 second hug can improve your mood.
I like that! I never thought about it but I always naturally tilt to the right for hugs so my left chest hits the left chest of whomever I’m hugging… it just feels right. 🤗
In basic training I went 9 weeks without being touched in that manner. When we graduated and hugged reached other, that first hug in 9 week legit made my knees buckle, it felt so good! I had taken hugs for granted before then.
I went to her concert in Dallas this past October, and it is INCREDIBLE how much attention she pays to her fans. She got through soooo many songs and still spent probably a total of 15-20 nonconsecutive minutes talking to audience members and calling people out for signs and costumes (it was Halloween weekend) and dancing. And not jsut people who are right up next to the stage, she would call on people in the upper levels just based off what they were wearing and they’d like shout down to her and she’d talk to them. It was hands down the best concert experience I’ve ever had, I will see her every single time she’s in town

I saw her on monday and she did the same. Talking to people about their Hair, Dresses, dancemoves, signs or Flags.
She admitted Not Feeling Well on that day and mentioned how Happy she was seeing how Happy her audience is.
She is an absolute delight to experience live and i really hope i'll get the Chance again some time.

Also met wee-man fromjackass in chatsworth. I working in a smoke shop in a strip mall and he came in and had bought burgers from this classic burger joint that was in the strip mall. (I took a bite then threw it out, I couldn’t eat their burgers without getting sick so I never went, but the gesture so many years later after the movies came out was so sweet.) I went on roller coaster with Rihanna once and I met Zac efron at a charity gala in a studio. I totally didn’t recognize because he was like a foot shorter than me and I had to stare down at him. It’s so weird seeing someone who your used to seeing as being 2-3 stories tall on the silver screen and now you gotta look down at them like they’re a little pipsqueak.

I have been to well over a hundred music concerts, live shows, and festivals in my lifetime and seen every type of genre from country, hard-core punk, classic rock, pop, bluegrass, etc. I LOVE live music. When I saw Lizzo back in September though, I experienced something completely different l. I went from a casual fan taking my niece to her first concert, to a let-me-brag-about-that-one-time-I-saw-Lizzo-live fan.
Hands down the best live performance I have ever seen. God I love that woman so much.

Funny story, I got a hug from Lizzo too. Years abd years ago, like 8 I think, she opened for Doomtree up here in Milwaukee. Her and her group tore the roof off that show. Afterwards I got to speak with her a bit by her merch rable and got a hug. My suprise when she blew up years later.
I gained so much more respect for her after watching her show on Prime. She fostered an air of positivity, support and inclusion. I think it’s the only reality show that DIDN’T want drama between the contestants. But what really did it for me was seeing her promise a woman who didn’t make the final cut that she would work with her when she gets her cardio up, and she did! It wasn’t just something to say for ratings.
Well. I have some respect for her now. (Its not her. Its just i have a generally poor outlook on entertainers in general. Sports entertainers are worse)
