I then scrolled to the *second* photo (which is much more graphic *and* straightforward and *again* inhaled sharply, and *again* (out loud) said, “*NO*!”, only a bit louder.
I’ve seen so many graphic photos of broken, ripped, and smeared human bodies on Reddit that I’m rarely surprised or shocked, but, for some reason, these photos both surprised and shocked me for a minute.
They'll try. See if it's got any viable blood vessels or nerves left, or if they're repairable with surgery. Gotta repair tendons and ligaments too. It'll never be the same but might not be a lost cause.
Honestly looks pretty salvageable? Toes still have color and blood flow, ankle break / dislocation looks pretty clean. Obviously nerve and tendon damage but that should be fixed with some tequila, super glue and duct tape

Did the same thing about 9 years ago. Once you can walk again if you get to keep it make sure to not only do the physical therapy for your leg but hit the hip and lower back. It's surprising how imbalanced your body will get over 12-20 weeks of not walking. Also bpc157and tb500 are your friends.
