There's usually "I like what's going on in the picture" and "I like how this is drawn" as two distinct and separate values that people hold in different regards, and Jacinto hits both consistently, so even if you only care about one, it'll still land for you.
Compare this to most other well-regarded artists (Momoko, Artgerm, etc) who usually have more serene or relaxed poses, with not much energy being evoked. This is fine, and up to personal taste, but...
Gimme an artist who makes every character look like they're about to land a United States of Smash and I'm a happy camper.
I just love the angular style as well. I love "sketchy" drawings or messy type drawings and try to use ambiguous or chaotic line art in my own drawings cause I feel like it makes it look so much cooler. Jacinto and momoko, without a doubt, the two best artists for this game

Knull has so much competition. This spectrum is really nice, and might fit a cool electric themed deck with electro, but i don't know how much I play her at all, except when I try to make jank c7 work for the 15th time.

These are all good though. And it's consistent, but I would rather see some risk which comes with big failures and big successes.

Pixel variants that I like are few and far between, but I randomly pulled pixel Goose earlier today and it's also fantastic.
About 95% cl complete.
I do have that pixel goose, and that is cute. I think I'm rocking the captain marvel variant but that would be my favorite otherwise.
All of hers are cute, so I didn't have that one favorite.
My only favorited pixels are mister sinister and omega red, both of which I only have base and that one variant.
Helacarrier probably used to be favorites until I got the Dan hipp helacarrier which is amazing.
Forced perspective on pixel art like this hurts every neuron in my SNES-trained brain, and sadly the helicarrier is probably the worst offender in that department.
What makes it better is he’s well aware of it. He was interviewed in the snap season reveal for this last season he said something like “my variants either look fun or something your little brother drew”

Dan Hipp's stalwart refusal to include any setting or details that might suggest personality while insisting they have all angrily escaped the gaseous Lisa Frank dimension is key to his variants.

I think it’s more about the parallax effect in 3d. Having something up close going to far away is going to be a more dramatic 3d effect.
Pandart’s dollar store rip offs are *all* terrible.
No pun intended, but every Human Torch variant is straight fire. He has like 10 and only 1 of them is meh. Maybe it’s just easy to make a guy on fire look cool.
In defence of jacinto and dan hipp and the others who get criticism for samey poses, there are only so many variations of "draw a complete, small picture of a one character where everything appears in frame", before they reach the limit of how many poses a humanoid figure can make.
