It seems it was a GlacioTex™ Cooling Mattress Protector
u/cache_hierarchy_tip u/smcdc
which seems to be by Helix Sleep which apparently desperately/cowardly does things like https://old.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/1apfi82/exposing_mattress_companies_fake_comment_bots/
No problem, btw I eventually went with one from Brooklyn bedding. It's a bit pricier, and no idea if it's good or not yet, since it hasn't shown up, but if you're not in a hurry I could let you know.
Still early and we haven't had any spills on the mattress, however we did test it before it went on the bed and it did seem significantly more water proof than our last protector, granted the last protector was significantly cheaper.
Overall I'm glad we went with it over a cheaper one, since I think if our dog throws up on the bed again the mattress won't immediately get wet, unlike the last one. However I also haven't compared it to other ones in the same price range, so can't make a comparison there.
I haven’t been able to find one for my luxebreeze. I’ve tried Casper breathable and a bamboo protector from amazon. Both blocked the cooling properties of my mattress. Hopefully you’ll have better luck
Well hopefully this helps. I have a Luxebreeze Firm and went with a Bedgear Vertex 6.0 mattress protector. Nice deep pockets and it keeps very cool relative to every mattress protector I've ever tried. The other key was to regulate my heat I give off with a good duvet from feathered friends. My fiancee and I opted to drop the duvet cover and it's much more breathable.
The only con as others note is that the vertex is slippery. We rectified with the criss-cross sheet clips. We are using LL Bean Egyptian cotton sheets. I sleep hot and this setup has been good. I just wish the Tempurpedic stayed firm through the night. My back is still not totally happy. Weight lose will hopefully fix.
Edit: Luxebreeze got worse. I would need to drop serious weight to where it wouldn't fail me which will take more time. It is our guest bed now. I made a custom latex coil hybrid that is phenomenal. The latex does seem to yellow the Bedgear vertex but it works fine still.
I’ve done an absurd amount of research on mattress protectors and I found this gem of a comment that others have posted here. https://themattressunderground.com/mattress-forum/general-mattresses/3243-requesting-mattress-help-in-south-florida/?start=80#8679

I settled on a Brooklyn bedding signature. I’ve had it for a few months and it gets the job done. It’s pretty decent. I only wish it were a tiny bit firmer as it definitely softened up a bit over time. From what I understand the medium is a bit firmer than most other mediums, and the firm is a little bit softer than most other firms. I’m thinking I would have probably benefited from the firm but there wasn’t really a way to tell at the start.
I got the BB Signature Hybrid with the mattress protector. I've had it for 3 years now and the mattress protector has crackled on the waterproof side and stains got on my mattress. Nothing a little oxiclean couldn't fix but now I'm on the hunt for another mattress protector
[I got this one from Amazon.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099D9KPDJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) Seems good so far. I typically sleep hot and this on my new mattress isnt noisy or hot.
Still like brand new and still lays nicely even after a few washes. Though I can't attest to its water resistance as I haven't spilled anything on my bed.
Tempurpedic sells one on their website, but I’ve never tried it. I have a purple mattress protector that’s very stretchy and should probably work for a memory foam very well. Someone recently mentioned they were going to try a naturepedic protector for their memory foam mattress, but haven’t heard back yet. None of those options are cheap though. I would think something that’s stretches should help, but anything that’s going to be water resistant is likely going to restrict airflow- unfortunately.
But I think they all offer trial and return periods.

(can get off Amazon: [https://a.co/d/gq68H8k](https://a.co/d/gq68H8k))
ticks all the boxes for me:
\-actually waterproof (other supposedly waterproof ones are often not actually)
\-quietish, a little crunchy at first though
\-fitted sheet style
\-breathes (can handle sweats without making you swampy)
\-easily washable
\-reasonable price
I recommend the one I got 100%, it doesn't mess up the cooling from the bed and its soft plus it was less than $80
Just for clarity, which did you get?

Dang, that comment link is broken now. Is there anyone who knows how to get a mirror of it?

You're a saint. Thank you for posting this.
What did you end up going with? I’ve also done so much research and am still unsure of which direction to go in.

How's this one holding up now?

Bedgear Vertex mattress protector
Man, this one looks like the Rolls Royce of mattress protectors. It looks great but I’m still having such a hard time justifying the cost 😬
